dramatist, WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE.

11. William Shakespeare is the greatest poet and dramatist of all
times. His major works include Macbeth ,Othello, King Lear etc.
Have you heard of globe theatre? The Globe Theatre was a theatre in London
associated with William Shakespeare. It was built in 1599 by Shakespeare's
playing company.

So we are going to learn a drama titled
‘Macbeth’ written by Shakespeare. It’s in story
form…

There was a king in Scotland whose name was Duncan.

15. The King’s Palace…

16. He was a very good and an ideal ruler. But some
rebels started war against his rule. To put down
the rebellion, the king sent two of his most
skilful and trusted commanders, Macbeth and
Banquo.

17. They took over the King’s army and defeated the
rebels.

18. After the victory they were returning to the castle
through one of the loneliest/ remote places in the
country. Suddenly they were stopped by three
strange- looking women . They were witches having
magical powers.
