3. USA RUGBY CONFERENCE GUIDELINES
Conferences shall be responsible for – but not limited to – the following services:
• Establishing a defined legal structure (non-profit corporation; LLC; corporation; unincorporated
association, etc.);
• Collecting dues from member teams to cover cost of conference operations;
• Selecting and maintaining a Commissioner to represent the conference and to serve as a
communication link between the conference, the College Management Council and committees and
USAR;
• Ensuring that the teams within such conference comply with the eligibility and scheduling
requirements set forth by USAR or the conference;
• Establishing general policies to govern the teams within such conference;
• Establishing policies with respect to assigning officials to conference games (this would include
working with LROs to secure officials for conference matches);
• Establishing policies and procedures with respect to disciplinary issues;
• Following all USAR policies;
• Managing conference awards and championships that the conference sees fit to select.
• Any other duties and responsibilities the conference elects to provide to its members.
