Abortion Persuasive Speech
She's pregnant, is what I thought as I replayed the conversation that changed everything back in my head. "Sammie are you pregnant?'' I asked,
while we were upstairs in my room, away from the family BBQ. I knew the answer before she could even say it. "Yes, I am." She whispered as tears
streamed down her face. I walked over to her on the bed and wrapped my arms around her. After a minute of her crying, we released each other. "What
are you going to do?" I asked her, because in my family, getting pregnant while in high school was and still is the biggest disappointment you could
bring to the family. She looked me square in the eye and said, "I will hide it and see to an abortion." I have two cousins, Ally and Sammie who are
around the same age as me. We did everything together while growing up, but a year and a half ago, it all changed when Sammie got pregnant
during her last year of high school. More and more of teenage girls are getting pregnant and having babies or having abortions. Why is that? Looking
back at my personal family and friends' life she wouldn't be the first. Two of my older cousins, both also got pregnant during or... Show more content

Children are true blessings, but at such a young age, it can set up a road for failure, and I am not saying every teenage girl who had or has a child
is a failure because they aren't, but not everyone has the same support or resources they need to succeed after having a baby at 16,17, or even 18.
For my cousin she did have the support she needed and is doing well, but for someone who family kicked them out, has no job, or the father of the
baby wants nothing to do with them or the baby, the outcome can be very different. These may seem like minor mistakes that some people can fix, but
it can become a lifetime struggle for lots of

My Role In My Life
On June 1, 2012, my life changed forever. To this day I can remember every little detail as if it happened yesterday. On that day, my sister, Megan,
gave birth to the most loving, intelligent, and playful little boy I have ever laid my eyes on; Parker Gordon Kaatz. It is so mind–blowing that one
person can alter your outlook on life. Throughout the whole journey of Megan being pregnant all the way to Parker's role in my life now, my life has
been changed tremendously for the better. Finding out your sister is pregnant at the age of 18 can shock you big–time. If I replay to the time I found
out, I would be sitting on my family room couch. My mom, my mom's boyfriend, and I were watching television and my mom said something very
confusing to me, "Tara, do you know how you've always wanted a dog?" I was confused because my mom hated dogs. Then she throws this in, "Well,
you're not getting a dog but you sister is pregnant." At first, I thought wow, what a terrible way to announce my sister is having a baby. Then I
realized, holy crap, my sister is actually having a baby. When those words came out of my mom's mouth my eyes got as big as saucers, my mouth
dropped so fast and heavy as if it weighed 150 pounds, and I was in complete shock. I did not know what to think. Was Megan scared? Why couldn't
she tell me herself? I thought about it all night and how I would make sure this wouldn't happen to me so young. Although this is not something I
would've wanted for her, I knew she

Volunteering Analysis
Weeping sounds from babies are the first thing I heard when I stepped foot into my volunteering site. The weeping sounded as if the babies were
hopeless, lonely, and in pain. Everybody around seemed so busy or just didn't want be bother with a crying baby. I couldn't just stand there and let the
baby cry. I had to do something. But what?
It was the summer of 2013; I decided to use this summer to volunteer at Kings County Hospital, instead of being in my house and just watch TV, eat,
and sleep all day. It was the best thing I could say I have ever done. When I got registered at Kings County Hospital, I got placed into the OBGYN
/Pediatrics department. I was excited to be lending a helping hand to kids who in need of someone to be by their side. Many people would tell me
I'm weird because of this, but I didn't care. It made me feel good about myself, and how I was going impact someone else's life instead of mine. But
little did I know volunteering here, was going to determine my entire future ahead of me. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

that voice and stayed. BEST DECISION EVER! By staying at Kings County I was able to break out my shell and actually be who I

Reflection Paper On My Son
To my son, my world. November 28, 2016 was the day my life drastically changed for the better. It was the day I had my son. From finding out I
was pregnant, to going through all three trimesters and enduring all the horrifying pains of labor and contractions but the pain quickly vanished as
soon as I held my baby boy in my arms and heard his very first cry. All of the tribulations of being pregnant and giving birth was completely worth it,
as tears ran down my cheeks, I was unaware that love this strong and completely unconditional existed until now. I was only 20 when I had him, so

When there in the newborn stage they don't really require that much time and attention because all they do is sleep and eat, its babies in my sons age
category which is nine to twelve months you have to worry about. This is the time they get curious about the world and become eager to explore, you
have to give them all your time and attention because if not they will get to everything and drive you completely nuts. Furthermost, you become very
anti–social after a baby but not by choice. Like I said before your baby need most of your time especially in their first year, you know what that
means? no more going out with your friends every time they call, this generally results in losing all your friends because you won't have any more
time for them like you did before, they'll get tired of asking and you'll never hear of them again. I am speaking from experience" Many new moms
like to stay close to home the first few weeks, especially if they're trying get the hang of nursing, so if your friends aren't coming to you, you're
likely not going to see them" (Refinery), this is exactly what happened to me but who needs so called "friends" when you have your precious bundle
of joy. Above all, having a baby has truly changed my life, it has taught me a lot about myself that I never knew before, and I've grown into a mature
woman throughout these couple of months of being a new mom. My outlook on life is completely different. Yes I am young, I had my child

Being Hispanic Doesn T Define Me
Narrative Essay Being a Hispanic doesn't define me. Neither being a student in the USA doesn't define me, but what does really defines me is
where I come from and how I ended up as a Hispanic living in the USA and now being a student with great goals to achieve and complete. I was
born in San Vicente, El Salvador, where poverty and harsh life survival exists. We survived only by selling fruits and vegetables on the streets, most
of the time we didn't have anything to eat, we had to eat leftover food in trash cans by the restaurants in the city. Our homes were made out of carton,
aluminum, and mud. My mother was only a little girl and she was already taking care of three little sisters. My grandmother was very harsh on her 10

Fatherhood Research Paper
Fatherhood The birth of my baby girl what a feeling I will never forget, so many emotions my heart was going through. It was 3am Wednesday
morning of April 14, 2012 the world and I was introduced to Angel Marie Woods. My gift to the world was here, it was a long wait. Angel was
6lbs and 5oz. It was everything I thought it would be seeing my baby being pushed out her mom's stomach. Tears almost ran down my eyes seeing
the birth of my little girl. The Dr. asked me did I want to cut the umbilical cord I was to nerves. Maybe the next baby I will cut the umbilical cord.As I

My support system was good and I was ready to take care of my child. I grew up without my father he was in and out my life. So I told myself if I ever
had a child I would be forever present and be a damn great provider. As I held my little bundle of joy so many thoughts run through my mind, life is
about to change for me.I knew I had some growing up to do my partying would slow down, me making poor choices had all the way stop. I had to stop
hanging around certain people because I have a little girl depending on me and me being locked up for years does any of us any good. Angel does get
credit for helping her dad mature in different areas of my life. I am slow to anger now my patience is a little better. People don't rub me the wrong
way as much as they use too.Feeding time was fun for me because it gave me more time to bond with my baby girl. Waking up every two to three
hours a night was not so bad seeing I was a night owl. As I would hold the bottle in my babies' mouth we would like look into each other's eyes and I
would smile at her so big. Angel would hold my hand so tight knowing I would forever

My Breastfeeding Journey
My journey in to lactation support began many years before the focus was actually on lactation and breastfeeding. Ever since I was a little girl I
wanted to be a teacher. I also was always obsessed with babies and was always supportive and intrigued by breastfeeding mothers. I have vivid
memories of nursing my baby dolls as a child. It wasn't until I became a mother a mother myself that I realized that my love for teaching and
breastfeeding could go hand in hand.
After graduating high school I was very unsure of what I wanted to teach and found myself really enjoying the health sciences. I changed my college

Personal Narrative: A Career In The Army
On 10 October 2006 on a military base in California I had the most unexpected surprise of my life. That day I was told by my doctor that I was
pregnant. This was a complete shock to me since I was on birth control. My career in the Army was on the rise and baby was not something I had
even wanted yet. I had only been married for one year and we wanted to wait since we had so many plans. That day my life had been the start of
the beginning. When I had been told I was pregnant there was anger and a lot of denial. I wasn't ready to have a child yet. I had just turned 21 and
just being newly married our finances were not in the best shape. My husband and I were going through so many trials and we actually were
considering leaving each other. We weren't stable and my career was finally going in the right path with a promotion on the rise. Until that day my
life changed at the time there was no end sight to the problems going on. I wasn't ready to admit that I was pregnant and cried as the doctor
basically told me my life was over. That day I drove home sad and tired after dealing with having to work a 12 hour shift and spending two hours at
the hospital. When I pulled into the driveway I called my sergeant because I couldn't find the strength to get out of that car just yet my life was over.

How Does Tyrone Bittings Change In Bronx Masquerade
Bronx Masquerade In the realistic novel Bronx Masquerade by Nikki Grimes students in Mr. Ward's class change as a result of their experiences in
Open Mike Friday's. Tyrone Bittings and Lupe Algerin are two characters who change immensely because of Open Mike. First off, Tyrone Bittings is a
teenager who does not like school. At the beginning of the novel,Tyrone does not think he has a future. "These white folk talking bout some future,
telling me I need to be planning for some future– like I got one" (70). Tyrone is convinced that he does not have a future. He thinks that since he will
not have a future he does not need to plan for one, so he does not need to attend school. He does not think white people understand because they do
not live in the bad conditions that he does. Towards the end of the novel Tyrone's point of view on school changes. "Any chance I'll see you next
year... I want to let you know we'll be hosting a poetry slam here next year,'' said Mr. Ward. "And guess what. All of the sudden, the man's got my
attention"(165).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lupe feels that she needs a baby to giver her lover and attention and she thinks this will make her life complete. Lupe says "I should make a baby of
my own. Maybe that's the answer... And she would love me better than anybody. Because I was her mother"(36). This quote shows how much
Lupe believes that a baby would show her the love that she wants. Towards the end of the novel, Lupe has totally turned around the way she thinks
about her future. Lupe says, "Mr. Ward says if I keep pulling up all my other grades they way I've pulled up my grade in English, I should be able to
get into a decent college when I graduate that's what I'm planning on"(147). After all this happened Lupe finally realized she does not need a baby to

My Moment In My Life
I looked up and saw a smiling baby with blue eyes, so sweet and innocent. Who knew life would throw these obstacles at us? Only a few days old
and her future was in jeopardy. The young child had already pushed through life changing surgeries. Personal experiences effect everybody, some
happy while others are not as joyful. Sometimes all you can do is hope that there is a chance things can go your way. But the hardest part is
staying strong for those you love. Within the span of her life a sweet little angel was in and out of Tampa Regional Medical Hospital, came home
for a whole month until the day that changed everything. Airlifted back to the Hospital for a ruptured incision; which she had gotten from a
surgery when she was just an infant. Slowly it became clear that this little blue eyed girl would never catch a break. The baby's mother, who is my
brother's best friend's girlfriend, posted on Facebook, a Social Media site, every couple of minutes updating her loved ones about information on
her precious baby. As the minutes proceeded to crawl by slower and slower I started to become worried. When I finally arrived at the hospital, I
received the message I was dreading, they had moved into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Trying to hold myself together I ambled through the
hospital halls, leading my mother toward the ICU; we entered the room to see a crowd of familiar faces gathered by a hospital bed. Stopping before
the bed, I took a deep breath and without actually

The Effects Of Substance Abuse On Pregnant Women Essay
When most people think of a crack baby, they get a different image than I do. When I was in my senior year of high school, I had to shadow at
different medical facilities. I never thought when I got rotated to the nursery in a hospital it would change my life forever. My shadowing experience
persuaded me to change my choice of major to nursing. I learned how substance abuse in pregnant women can affect an infant. I realized that I would
have a direct influence on people's lives. My experience shadowing in a hospital and seeing a real "crack baby" helped me realize that I wanted to
change my major to Nursing, made me aware of substance abuse in pregnant women and how it affects babies, and it help me see that I wanted to help
individuals directly and hands on. It all started one Tuesday morning in Jackson Hospital of Montgomery, Al.
When I began shadowing the nurse whom I was assigned to, Debra, she convinced me that nursing would be a good career for me. I was transferred
to her because the other nurses had me bored to death filling out charts in the stark white hospital, and I needed something to report at the end of
the week. The nurse explained to me that nursing is a career that can fit my lifestyle, and that I could still be able to have a family. Family is a
value that is important to me. When I am of age I want to make sure that I can have a job that can support my lifestyle so that I won't have to be
away from my family all the time. Nursing is an upper middle class

Anna Gorman A Medical Ethical Dilemma
Medical Ethical Dilemma 1.Why did you select this topic? I choose the article, A Medical Miracle Poses Ethical Dilemma written by Anna Gorman
and published in the Los Angeles Times. It stood out to me because it dealt with a baby in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) born at twenty–four
weeks' gestation, weighing nine ounces. I want to be a NICU nurse so I am sure I will be faced with an issue similar to this at some point in my
career. 2.What are your feelings about this dilemma? Are you for or against? I am for this dilemma. I liked when Doctor Ramanathan said, "I don 't
know if I can put cost to life... It 's worth it" (Gorman, 2011). The fact that this baby may have a shot at living is worth the half a million dollars that
the state of California will have to pay due to Melinda's parents being on Medi–Cal. I don't think that doctors or nurses have the right to play God. It is
our job to be supportive and provide all the care we know how to make sure that baby gets the best treatment whether the outcome be life or death,
knowing that all that could have been done, was. And the survival rate of a baby born at twenty–four weeks is better than I thought it would be. "A
micro preemie is a baby who is born weighing less than 1 pound, 12 ounces (800 grams) or before 26 weeks' gestation... A baby born at 24 weeks, has
66–80% survival rate" (Bird, 2016). Despite the long term health problems that this baby could face, her odds of survival outweigh her odds of death.

How much impact can life and death make in someone's life? In my case, both the death of someone and the life of someone gave me a completely

Death.
During the entire time period if my life, I have experienced many changes. Death can change an entire person's life in an instant. This is what

Whether it's a new sibling, a niece or nephew, or even your own baby, everything just dramatically changed. Having a newborn is a lot of work and
I found that out after my big sister had the baby. I didn't know that this baby would make such a huge difference in even my life. Four months ago
on May 11 of 2014, my sister gave birth to her first born child, Zoey Jane. It was a very happy and exciting time for everyone, especially for myself
as I was finally an aunt. When my sister finally got to go home and stay home after many medical things came up, I stayed to help her for a week
because she had had a cesarean section and couldn't quite do everything she needed to do. Being there for my sister was a great thing, but it made
me realize just how much work having a newborn child was. It was nonstop labor for the baby and her mother, much of which I became part of.
Even though my sister was 27, she was having a very hard time keeping up with Zoey and all of her needs. Seeing my big sister struggle was a
wake up call for me. Realizing how hard it actually was having a new baby, made me want to make better choices and not have a child until I knew
it was the right time, the right time being when I could handle a baby, physically, emotionally and also financially. At the moment I have no desire to

Personal Narrative-Changing Experience Of Having A Baby
I never thought about being an aunt or having nieces or nephews until it actually happened. My oldest brother, Tuan, had his first kid, Nathan,
when he was eighteen. It was a new and exciting feeling of having a baby in my life after being the baby of the bunch in my family. I learned a new set
of skills at eight. How to take care of babies. I fed Nate, burped him, and changed his diapers. This gave me a new responsibility as an aunt.

Personal Narrative: Baby Think It Over Paper
Ellexia McCredie 3A Mrs.Hayes Baby Think It Over Paper There were many emotions that I experienced throughout the time that I had the baby.
One among many was not anger but almost a despise of the fake baby. I did not think that taking the baby would be really as bad as it was, this
being in the way that I was so strung out over this tiny machine making noise and others making a big deal out of it just adding to the stress. Also
there were several points in this time that between my tiredness and my anger I was having mental collapses, crying, panicking, anxiety, these were
things like me waiting for the baby to cry and then when it wouldn stop I would have to hold myself back or I felt like I was about to snap. In the

Many of the people couldn't help but to tell me about how when they were in school how it was a sack of flour that they left by their nightstand.
Along with this many people rolled their eyes, gave me nasty looks, and overall just were very judgemental of only what they saw. In class people
rolled their eyes and laughed whenever the baby would cry. This was especially annoying when someone in the middle of class out of nowhere
would make a random comment about the baby. This experience really hasn't changed my life plans. This being because I never intended on having
children so therefore I wouldn't say that it doesn't affect some people's point of view but personally my thought/plan of the future is the same. I feel
that if the problem presented itself that I wouldn't be the worst parent that there ever was. Having children at a young age however, is something that
no one really can say that they will fully be able to handle because no matter what age no one is really ever fully prepared for children and the stress,

Case Study: Horacio Campos
As time has evolved, social norms have changed alongside generations. My objective was to prove the significant changes in family life, roles, and
family structure that have occurred throughout generations due to the development of the family and open beliefs. Using the inquiry method, I
interviewed an individual using a specific amount of questions to be able to identify the most prominent differences between today's generation and
theirs. For my research, I decided to interview a baby boomer. In the years following WW11, there was an extreme increase in birth rate. All those born
at this time are called baby boomers. His name is Horacio Campos and he was born in 1951 in a small town in Chile. Horacio has recently turned 65.

In my interview, I also asked Horacio what his role was growing up. He had four older sisters. Since his mom was a stay at home mom, he was not
given many responsibilities at home. His role was to study and get a good education. Unlike him, his sisters were expected to help their mom with
house work and learn how to cook. At age 17 he began working to help out with bills, but continued to go to school during the night. His role
began to change as he got older. He was expected to contribute to the household, since his sisters did not work. As a man he was expected to bring
money into the house. This proves the Structural Functionalism theory since he was given a set of behaviors that an individual is expected to
demonstrate within a status (Halloway, 2003). The role I play in my family is very different due to the fact that I am a female living in a single
parent household. Even though my generation is far more advanced, I still have many similar qualities as his sisters. My main role in my family
still remains to help out around the house by cleaning and staying in school. Since I am an only child, my role in the family is very important since
my mom works full time. I am expected to make up half of the work at home and I got a job at the age of 16 in order to help out around the house.

What Does It Mean To Say That Abortion Is A Crime
"Abortion isn't a lesser evil, it's a crime. Taking one life to save another, that's what the Mafia does. It's a crime. It's an absolute evil." In To Kill a
Mockingbird, Harper Lee's fictional novel, Atticus Finch mentions that you need to walk in someone else's shoes to see their point of view. I recently
had a disagreement with a friend, Jenny, about whether or not abortion is acceptable. I felt that abortion is considered murder. Jenny said there's
nothing wrong with abortion. I can see why she would think abortion is appropriate at times, however I still firmly believe abortion is still
unacceptable. On April 15, my friend and I suddenly came upon the topic of abortion. We were just sitting down and casually talking at my house
until she mentioned that her older sister had an abortion. I didn't think that was such a good thing, so I stated that I felt that abortion isn't right. She
said that there's nothing wrong with abortion because people make mistakes. Along with this she said, "Plus, the baby isn't even fully developed. It
can't be considered killing if it's not developed." I still felt that if you made a beautiful baby, you should be responsible of taking care of it. You
already knew the risks of unprotected sex and yet you still followed through on it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jenny believed that you should be able to have abortions because you might not be able to support the baby financially. Another reason she had
was that the parents may not be ready to have a baby so early in their lives. Having a baby early can jeopardize your future. Babies need a lot of
love and support. In addition to this, raising a baby can be extremely expensive. "The woman with the child in her body should be able to choose what
they want to do, not other people." Jenny stated that an abortion is a way to salvage your future. Jenny made several excellent points to the point
where I started to question if abortions are actually

and it started to come repeatedly and constantly. I saw nurses going in and out of the room telling each other that it was time and we needed the

Essay about Personal Narrative: Having a Baby Changed My Life
I remember the day she born. I was nervous for the simple fact that my life would never be the same. Soon no longer would I be known as just
Ayanna, I would take on a new title. A title that I would share with so many woman, and after eight long hours of labor, I would now be known to

roof over our head, food on the table, and clothes on our back. My worked for various companies until he was able to obtain his degree as an

I could not help but think that I may forget and leave her in the car, or rush out the house and leave her home alone. I know that may sound crazy,
but I always doing things that. I remember my mom telling me everyday that if my head was not already attached to my body, I would lose it. It's
crazy because in health class we did the whole egg baby project, and needless to say I left my poor little defenseless baby egg on the school. Since
that day, everyone would always tell me that a baby would not be for me. But regardless of how I felt, this baby was coming into this world
whether I wanted it too or not. I have no choice but to grow up, accept responsibility and get prepared. So instead of relaxing and hanging out
friends, I went to college and work and saved the money to prepare for the few months that I could not work. On March 30, as of three thirty in the
morning, my life has officially changed. The labor pains had set in and it was time to have a baby. I had never felt apain so excruciating in my life, and
I thought that cramps were terrible, labor pains do not even compare. I climbed the stairs to my aunts room to let her know that it was time to go to

How Having A Baby Changed My Life
With me having a baby on the way, I honestly didn't think I would start college anytime soon. It was just way out of conclusion. When my cousins
started talking about it, it just had me thinking real hard about it. When we came to visit and speak to a representative, Ms. Adrianna, I explained
to her about with me being pregnant that I was afraid I wouldn't finish on time or that I would be left behind, she told me that they would work with
me on everything and not to worry that there is alway a tutor there to help. I never, out of all the colleges I have visited, had such wonderful and
helpful people. I am young, but I would like to have a good future not only for me but for my baby. I know it's not a big university, but it is perfect for
me. It's close to home and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

working with and it just made me more excited and made it so much easier to see college in my future. I was always told that I wouldn't make it
this far or get far in life and with all the negative comments from people about me getting pregnant at a young age it just makes things easier and
better to be able to show them I was able to achieved more than they did with some amazing people and a wonderful college on my side helping me

Siblings-Personal Narrative Analysis
Siblings can be cruel. They can get you in trouble, steal your things, yet you love them anyway. Have you ever wondered how much they could
change you though? Growing up, I lived in Chicago with my older brother. I was the youngest in the family. I didn't understand responsibility
because I was used to everyone taking care of me. I never had to care for anything, and I had all the attention, as the younger child. I was spoiled,
and my parents would side with me through everything. One day, my parents told me they were going to have a baby, and I felt as my world was
falling apart. My entire family was extremely excited when they found out. I felt shocked when my parents told me they were having a baby.

home, confused on what was happening. Around 10:00 pm, my dad came home with a smile on his face, and a picture of my new baby sister. He
came into my room, and showed me the picture of my sister, and I started crying tears of joy. I could not sleep that night, I was still in shock that I
now had a younger sister. About two days after her birth, I came to the hospital to meet my sister for the first time. I walked into the hospital room,
and saw my mom in a hospital bed, and my sister lying in a small box. There was lots of milk bottles surrounding her, and the stench of rancid milk
filled the air. I walked up to my mom and saw my sister. She was asleep, and there was a little smile on her face. I realized how beautiful life was,
and I suddenly forgot about all the jealousy and anger. I accepted that she was now a part of my family, and I soon came to love her more than anything.
There are so many people on this world that can change you. Maybe a friend, or a teacher, but the person that changed my life forever was my
sister. I never knew how much one person could change you. My sister changed me in so many ways. She taught me the importance of family and
love. She made a big difference in my life, and I could never imagine my life without her. I felt incredibly happy to have my

Personal Narrative Analysis
Most women will say that nothing compares to the amazing feeling of carrying a child for nine months. Some women would say that besides the
sickness they had the perfect pregnancy. That's not the case for me. I was extremely depressed during my pregnancy. The goal was never to work two
jobs eight months pregnant by a man who hated an unborn baby. Everything was telling me not to have this baby, but somewhere in all the darkness,
something told me to go through with it.
It was a normal June day in Atlanta, Georgia. I was working the morning shift at a dollar store and it was time to go on break. I walked outside with
my heart beating like it was trying to escape my body. I walked next door and went halfway to the front counter. The thought of running back out
entered my mind, I reached for the door then I heard his voice. "What's wrong?" he asked. I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. He stared at me
for a moment, "Don't tell me you're pregnant." he said. I knew in that moment that i had started a war. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

how happy she made me. He never bothered to show up to a doctor's appointment, someone who didn't know how far along I was, or cared enough to
ask, but he wanted to take my baby. I would love to say that with time things healed, but this isn't a fairy

Clinical Rotation In Special Care
A time when I provided excellent patient care would be when I had my clinical rotation in the special care nursery. I was assigned to a baby who
was going through withdrawal. On this day particular the baby was agitated more so than in the past. It seemed as if nothing was going to sooth this
baby. We had given all the medications we could, fed him, changed him, rocked him, even moved him to a secluded room for minimal simulation,
and still nothing would suffice. As it can be difficult trying to comfort and care for a baby going through withdrawal in the back of my mind I knew
there had to be something out there that could sooth him even if it was just for a little while. So I started out by instead of rocking him sitting down, I

Persuasive Speech: Why Abortion Should Be Illegal
Persuasion topic: Why abortion should be illegal
I am writing this paper to persuade and inform you about why abortion should be illegal. Many people struggle when dealing with this topic because
of women's rights and because a baby's life is on the line. My people think of it as a fetus, but i'm here to prove them wrong.
My first argument is the babies are actually alive. Many say they are just fetus's but this is wrong. These babies actually feel more pain than us at at
the average age a baby is aborted. This can actually be argued as cruel and unusual punishment which violates the 8th amendment. They actually
recognize their mother's voice too. So they are capable of feeling pain and can hear and recognize people.
My second reason is it is responsible for 57 million deaths since 1973! Think about that, 57 million babies murdered. During the holocaust around 6
million jews were killed. Multiply that by 9.5 and that's how many babies have died due to abortion. They had no say in what happened to them. They
are not just a choice, they should have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of these babies could have cured cancer. One could have been the best basketball or football or soccer player of all time. One could have
ended world poverty. One could have been a war hero. One could have been our president. But instead they were thought of as just a choice.
However there is one exception. The only way I would allow abortion is if the mother will die if she continues to give birth to the baby. Even in this
circumstance some mothers chose to give birth to the baby even though they know that they will die. If the mother is raped and is pregnant why not
give the baby up for adoption. Just because your life is ruined doesn't mean you have to ruin the babies too. But also we have to be pro–women. We
have to support the mother and help them raise the child or set him or her up for adoption. We need to mothers to know they are not

Cheerleading Narrative
It all started March 26, 2011 when my life began to change. On that day, I left Dunbar High
School move to Polk County. I felt like my life was ending. I left my friends and family to move to Kissimmee then to Orlando, then back to
Kissimmee. When I left Dunbar High it felt like the end of the world. I was there since my freshman year I had the best times of my life. I was a
teacher's aide, on the cheerleading squad, I stepped, I also ran track. (When I was an aid for the teachers and/or staff, I use to have no class, helping

I was thinking the worse with everything. Questions were popping up in my mind like the speed of light. I was wondering, "What if I don't find any

All the questions I was thinking and answers I was telling myself ended up true. No, I did not find any friends in Kissimmee . No, I did not have
any schools to go to because they would not accept me due to the fact Dunbar did not give me all my credits and ok sure, our neighborhood is not
that bad. So, that's when Orlando came about. I moved there with my aunt to go to school since certain schools would accept me. When I found out

Difference Between Miscarriage And Ectopic Pregnancy
Have you ever had an experience that changed your life in a blink of an eye? An experience so intense that it keeps replaying in your head? I'm
nineteen years old and in these days it's not shocking to hear young girls getting pregnant, but no matter what age, it's always hard to hear about any
type of miscarriage. An ectopic pregnancy was what I had, and I'm still recovering from it. 1 in 4 girls have an ectopic pregnancy, which is also
called a tubal pregnancy. It is not considered a miscarriage, but it is considered to be in the same category as one. The difference between a
miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy is that with a miscarriage, the fetus is still growing but along the way something happens. An ectopic pregnancy
(tubal pregnancy) is when the fetus is misplaced in a fallopian tube and the tube ruptures which can cause you to bleed out to death. This is very
difficult to find since an ultrasound can't pick it up ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While I was in the recovery room, my surgeon came in and told my boyfriend and I that the fetus had grown to the point where my tube ripped so
they had to remove my left fallopian tube completely. My first thought was my baby and why this had to happen to me. Everything happened so
fast that I didn't know how to process all of it. It was hard to know that I was pregnant one moment and then the next having that amazing feeling

in just in a blink of an eye. Even though 19 is still a young age, it should never happen to anyone. I stop to think every day about that day and what
had happened to me was a tragedy. Ever since then, I've seen how much I have changed and because of that I cherish life

The Pros And Cons Of Abortion
I chose this topic because it is a very important topic the world is trying to deal with. I have a very strong beliefs and the people that I know have
very strong beliefs concerning abortion. Merriam–Webster dictionary describes abortion as, 1("The termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by,
resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus.") 2(Abortion has been legal in the United States since 1973. From 1980 to 2013
abortions have caused the deaths in over 13 million deaths in the U.S. alone.) That is equal to the number of people Hitler exterminated in World War II.
3(There are many risks to abortion. An immediate effect is that the mother may die of complication from the procedure. Later in life, if the mother
would want to have children, she may not be able to because of the damage done by the abortion procedure.) There are many other risks, but these are
the top two. 4(Abortion began back in the first 100 years of our country where women would take drugs to terminate the pregnancy. It was not until the
1930's that laws were created and strictly enforced. But, in the 1970's was abortion was legalized.
Views of abortion have changed. From the 1700's to the late 1800's abortion was viewed as the last resort for a woman that had gotten herself pregnant
and wasn't married or didn't get pregnant with her husband. If this was to happen, and word got out, the mother would be shunned for getting pregnant
and cursed at for terminating a pregnancy.

Personal Experience In My Life
I look up to see a smiling baby with blue eyes, so sweet and innocent. Who knew life would throw these obstacles at us. Only a few days old and

others are not as joyful. Sometimes all you can do is hope that there is a chance things can go your way. But the hardest part is staying strong for
those you love. Within the span of her life a sweet little angel was in and out of Tampa Regional Medical Hospital, came home for a whole month
until the day that changed everything. Airlifted back to the Hospital for a ruptured incision; which she had gotten from a surgery when she was just an
infant. It seemed like this little blue eyed girl would never catch a break. Her mother – who was the Girlfriend of my Brothers Best Friend, who is kind
of like a Brother to me – posted on Facebook, a Social Media site, every couple of minutes updating her loved ones about information on her
precious baby. As the minutes proceeded to crawl by slower and slower I started to get worried. When I finally arrived at the Hospital I got the
message I was dreading, they have been moved into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As I tried to hold myself together, I ambled throughout the

At the age of six I had not given much thought about life and death, but this day changed that. As a baby, I cannot imagine all the things I did that put

Saturday, I slept longer than usual. Today was the day chosen to celebrate my birthday, which was actually a few days before. It was my 6th birthday
party. My parents and I decided that the party would take place at our home. We invited all our neighbors and friends. I was young, energetic, and
ready to enjoy life. Next, I got out of my Rugrats sheet covered bed. I headed down the narrow and white hallway to the living room. I greeted my

before coming back home. My parents agreed that was ok. I went into the garage to get my blue, new, Mongoose bicycle. My bicycle was a gift from

Other people should react the same way I did in my situation. In some cases I know I did not act the way I should have. I feel that your attitude

It was the end of my senior year one month away from graduation. When I got home my parents said they had some good news; they looked at one

to putting a fake smile on my face but it was nearly impossible. Tears were running down my checks. I immediately went to my room. I knew that my
mother felt awful it was my intention .I didn't know what to feel on one side I had so much anger but on the other side I always wanted a younger sibling
.
After 16 years of my life about to graduate and go off to college finding out you're going to have a baby sister is a shocking surprise. I felt as if I was
on a roller coaster, my emotions were twisting and spinning all over the place. I had an older sibling but never was home. I always was the big baby
of the house. I didn't think that would ever change until you find out there's another baby on board.
Of course I always wanted baby sister or brother that I could play with and dress up. Have special moments together. My friends would tell me that
siblings are annoying and always get what they want. That

Abortion Persuasive Speech

  • 1. Abortion Persuasive Speech She's pregnant, is what I thought as I replayed the conversation that changed everything back in my head. "Sammie are you pregnant?'' I asked, while we were upstairs in my room, away from the family BBQ. I knew the answer before she could even say it. "Yes, I am." She whispered as tears streamed down her face. I walked over to her on the bed and wrapped my arms around her. After a minute of her crying, we released each other. "What are you going to do?" I asked her, because in my family, getting pregnant while in high school was and still is the biggest disappointment you could bring to the family. She looked me square in the eye and said, "I will hide it and see to an abortion." I have two cousins, Ally and Sammie who are around the same age as me. We did everything together while growing up, but a year and a half ago, it all changed when Sammie got pregnant during her last year of high school. More and more of teenage girls are getting pregnant and having babies or having abortions. Why is that? Looking back at my personal family and friends' life she wouldn't be the first. Two of my older cousins, both also got pregnant during or... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Children are true blessings, but at such a young age, it can set up a road for failure, and I am not saying every teenage girl who had or has a child is a failure because they aren't, but not everyone has the same support or resources they need to succeed after having a baby at 16,17, or even 18. For my cousin she did have the support she needed and is doing well, but for someone who family kicked them out, has no job, or the father of the baby wants nothing to do with them or the baby, the outcome can be very different. These may seem like minor mistakes that some people can fix, but it can become a lifetime struggle for lots of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. My Role In My Life On June 1, 2012, my life changed forever. To this day I can remember every little detail as if it happened yesterday. On that day, my sister, Megan, gave birth to the most loving, intelligent, and playful little boy I have ever laid my eyes on; Parker Gordon Kaatz. It is so mind–blowing that one person can alter your outlook on life. Throughout the whole journey of Megan being pregnant all the way to Parker's role in my life now, my life has been changed tremendously for the better. Finding out your sister is pregnant at the age of 18 can shock you big–time. If I replay to the time I found out, I would be sitting on my family room couch. My mom, my mom's boyfriend, and I were watching television and my mom said something very confusing to me, "Tara, do you know how you've always wanted a dog?" I was confused because my mom hated dogs. Then she throws this in, "Well, you're not getting a dog but you sister is pregnant." At first, I thought wow, what a terrible way to announce my sister is having a baby. Then I realized, holy crap, my sister is actually having a baby. When those words came out of my mom's mouth my eyes got as big as saucers, my mouth dropped so fast and heavy as if it weighed 150 pounds, and I was in complete shock. I did not know what to think. Was Megan scared? Why couldn't she tell me herself? I thought about it all night and how I would make sure this wouldn't happen to me so young. Although this is not something I would've wanted for her, I knew she ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Volunteering Analysis Weeping sounds from babies are the first thing I heard when I stepped foot into my volunteering site. The weeping sounded as if the babies were hopeless, lonely, and in pain. Everybody around seemed so busy or just didn't want be bother with a crying baby. I couldn't just stand there and let the baby cry. I had to do something. But what? It was the summer of 2013; I decided to use this summer to volunteer at Kings County Hospital, instead of being in my house and just watch TV, eat, and sleep all day. It was the best thing I could say I have ever done. When I got registered at Kings County Hospital, I got placed into the OBGYN /Pediatrics department. I was excited to be lending a helping hand to kids who in need of someone to be by their side. Many people would tell me I'm weird because of this, but I didn't care. It made me feel good about myself, and how I was going impact someone else's life instead of mine. But little did I know volunteering here, was going to determine my entire future ahead of me. ... • 4. Reflection Paper On My Son To my son, my world. November 28, 2016 was the day my life drastically changed for the better. It was the day I had my son. From finding out I was pregnant, to going through all three trimesters and enduring all the horrifying pains of labor and contractions but the pain quickly vanished as soon as I held my baby boy in my arms and heard his very first cry. All of the tribulations of being pregnant and giving birth was completely worth it, as tears ran down my cheeks, I was unaware that love this strong and completely unconditional existed until now. I was only 20 when I had him, so like every first time young mothers or any first time mothers at that, I was yet to really understand everything that comes... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When there in the newborn stage they don't really require that much time and attention because all they do is sleep and eat, its babies in my sons age category which is nine to twelve months you have to worry about. This is the time they get curious about the world and become eager to explore, you have to give them all your time and attention because if not they will get to everything and drive you completely nuts. Furthermost, you become very anti–social after a baby but not by choice. Like I said before your baby need most of your time especially in their first year, you know what that means? no more going out with your friends every time they call, this generally results in losing all your friends because you won't have any more time for them like you did before, they'll get tired of asking and you'll never hear of them again. I am speaking from experience" Many new moms like to stay close to home the first few weeks, especially if they're trying get the hang of nursing, so if your friends aren't coming to you, you're likely not going to see them" (Refinery), this is exactly what happened to me but who needs so called "friends" when you have your precious bundle of joy. Above all, having a baby has truly changed my life, it has taught me a lot about myself that I never knew before, and I've grown into a mature woman throughout these couple of months of being a new mom. My outlook on life is completely different. Yes I am young, I had my child ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Neither being a student in the USA doesn't define me, but what does really defines me is where I come from and how I ended up as a Hispanic living in the USA and now being a student with great goals to achieve and complete. I was born in San Vicente, El Salvador, where poverty and harsh life survival exists. We survived only by selling fruits and vegetables on the streets, most of the time we didn't have anything to eat, we had to eat leftover food in trash cans by the restaurants in the city. Our homes were made out of carton, aluminum, and mud. My mother was only a little girl and she was already taking care of three little sisters. • 8. Personal Narrative: A Career In The Army On 10 October 2006 on a military base in California I had the most unexpected surprise of my life. That day I was told by my doctor that I was pregnant. This was a complete shock to me since I was on birth control. My career in the Army was on the rise and baby was not something I had even wanted yet. I had only been married for one year and we wanted to wait since we had so many plans. That day my life had been the start of the beginning. When I had been told I was pregnant there was anger and a lot of denial. I wasn't ready to have a child yet. I had just turned 21 and just being newly married our finances were not in the best shape. My husband and I were going through so many trials and we actually were considering leaving each other. We weren't stable and my career was finally going in the right path with a promotion on the rise. Until that day my life changed at the time there was no end sight to the problems going on. I wasn't ready to admit that I was pregnant and cried as the doctor basically told me my life was over. That day I drove home sad and tired after dealing with having to work a 12 hour shift and spending two hours at the hospital. Tyrone Bittings and Lupe Algerin are two characters who change immensely because of Open Mike. First off, Tyrone Bittings is a teenager who does not like school. At the beginning of the novel,Tyrone does not think he has a future. "These white folk talking bout some future, telling me I need to be planning for some future– like I got one" (70). Tyrone is convinced that he does not have a future. He thinks that since he will not have a future he does not need to plan for one, so he does not need to attend school. • 10. My Moment In My Life I looked up and saw a smiling baby with blue eyes, so sweet and innocent. Who knew life would throw these obstacles at us? Only a few days old and her future was in jeopardy. The young child had already pushed through life changing surgeries. Personal experiences effect everybody, some happy while others are not as joyful. Sometimes all you can do is hope that there is a chance things can go your way. But the hardest part is staying strong for those you love. Within the span of her life a sweet little angel was in and out of Tampa Regional Medical Hospital, came home for a whole month until the day that changed everything. Airlifted back to the Hospital for a ruptured incision; which she had gotten from a surgery when she was just an infant. Slowly it became clear that this little blue eyed girl would never catch a break. The baby's mother, who is my brother's best friend's girlfriend, posted on Facebook, a Social Media site, every couple of minutes updating her loved ones about information on her precious baby. As the minutes proceeded to crawl by slower and slower I started to become worried. When I finally arrived at the hospital, I received the message I was dreading, they had moved into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Trying to hold myself together I ambled through the hospital halls, leading my mother toward the ICU; we entered the room to see a crowd of familiar faces gathered by a hospital bed. Stopping before the bed, I took a deep breath and without actually ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. The Effects Of Substance Abuse On Pregnant Women Essay When most people think of a crack baby, they get a different image than I do. When I was in my senior year of high school, I had to shadow at different medical facilities. I never thought when I got rotated to the nursery in a hospital it would change my life forever. My shadowing experience persuaded me to change my choice of major to nursing. I learned how substance abuse in pregnant women can affect an infant. I realized that I would have a direct influence on people's lives. My experience shadowing in a hospital and seeing a real "crack baby" helped me realize that I wanted to change my major to Nursing, made me aware of substance abuse in pregnant women and how it affects babies, and it help me see that I wanted to help individuals directly and hands on. It all started one Tuesday morning in Jackson Hospital of Montgomery, Al. When I began shadowing the nurse whom I was assigned to, Debra, she convinced me that nursing would be a good career for me. I was transferred to her because the other nurses had me bored to death filling out charts in the stark white hospital, and I needed something to report at the end of the week. The nurse explained to me that nursing is a career that can fit my lifestyle, and that I could still be able to have a family. Family is a value that is important to me. When I am of age I want to make sure that I can have a job that can support my lifestyle so that I won't have to be away from my family all the time. Nursing is an upper middle class ... • 13. Anna Gorman A Medical Ethical Dilemma Medical Ethical Dilemma 1.Why did you select this topic? I choose the article, A Medical Miracle Poses Ethical Dilemma written by Anna Gorman and published in the Los Angeles Times. It stood out to me because it dealt with a baby in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) born at twenty–four weeks' gestation, weighing nine ounces. I want to be a NICU nurse so I am sure I will be faced with an issue similar to this at some point in my career. 2.What are your feelings about this dilemma? Are you for or against? I am for this dilemma. I liked when Doctor Ramanathan said, "I don 't know if I can put cost to life... It 's worth it" (Gorman, 2011). The fact that this baby may have a shot at living is worth the half a million dollars that the state of California will have to pay due to Melinda's parents being on Medi–Cal. I don't think that doctors or nurses have the right to play God. It is our job to be supportive and provide all the care we know how to make sure that baby gets the best treatment whether the outcome be life or death, knowing that all that could have been done, was. And the survival rate of a baby born at twenty–four weeks is better than I thought it would be. "A micro preemie is a baby who is born weighing less than 1 pound, 12 ounces (800 grams) or before 26 weeks' gestation... A baby born at 24 weeks, has 66–80% survival rate" (Bird, 2016). Despite the long term health problems that this baby could face, her odds of survival outweigh her odds of death. 3.Why ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

At age 17 he began working to help out with bills, but continued to go to school during the night. His role began to change as he got older. He was expected to contribute to the household, since his sisters did not work. As a man he was expected to bring money into the house. This proves the Structural Functionalism theory since he was given a set of behaviors that an individual is expected to demonstrate within a status (Halloway, 2003). I recently had a disagreement with a friend, Jenny, about whether or not abortion is acceptable. I felt that abortion is considered murder. Jenny said there's nothing wrong with abortion. I can see why she would think abortion is appropriate at times, however I still firmly believe abortion is still unacceptable. On April 15, my friend and I suddenly came upon the topic of abortion. We were just sitting down and casually talking at my house until she mentioned that her older sister had an abortion. I didn't think that was such a good thing, so I stated that I felt that abortion isn't right. She said that there's nothing wrong with abortion because people make mistakes. Along with this she said, "Plus, the baby isn't even fully developed. It can't be considered killing if it's not developed." I still felt that if you made a beautiful baby, you should be responsible of taking care of it. You already knew the risks of unprotected sex and yet you still followed through on it. ... Many people struggle when dealing with this topic because of women's rights and because a baby's life is on the line. My people think of it as a fetus, but i'm here to prove them wrong. My first argument is the babies are actually alive. Many say they are just fetus's but this is wrong. These babies actually feel more pain than us at at the average age a baby is aborted. This can actually be argued as cruel and unusual punishment which violates the 8th amendment. They actually recognize their mother's voice too. So they are capable of feeling pain and can hear and recognize people. My second reason is it is responsible for 57 million deaths since 1973! Think about that, 57 million babies murdered. During the holocaust around 6 million jews were killed. Multiply that by 9.5 and that's how many babies have died due to abortion. They had no say in what happened to them. But instead they were thought of as just a choice. However there is one exception. The only way I would allow abortion is if the mother will die if she continues to give birth to the baby. Even in this circumstance some mothers chose to give birth to the baby even though they know that they will die. If the mother is raped and is pregnant why not give the baby up for adoption. Just because your life is ruined doesn't mean you have to ruin the babies too. But also we have to be pro–women. We have to support the mother and help them raise the child or set him or her up for adoption. We need to mothers to know they are not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 28. Cheerleading Narrative It all started March 26, 2011 when my life began to change. On that day, I left Dunbar High School move to Polk County. I felt like my life was ending. I left my friends and family to move to Kissimmee then to Orlando, then back to Kissimmee. When I left Dunbar High it felt like the end of the world. I was there since my freshman year I had the best times of my life. I was a teacher's aide, on the cheerleading squad, I stepped, I also ran track. (When I was an aid for the teachers and/or staff, I use to have no class, helping with their work and go to each class room that the principle, time out staff, or the kids that the teacher wanted.) Questions were popping up in my mind like the speed of light. I was wondering, "What if I don't find any friends?", "What if I can't find a decent school to go to?", but most importantly "What if it's not a good neighborhood to move into?" just "WHAT IF"! All the questions I was thinking and answers I was telling myself ended up true. No, I did not find any friends in Kissimmee . No, I did not have any schools to go to because they would not accept me due to the fact Dunbar did not give me all my credits and ok sure, our neighborhood is not that bad. So, that's when Orlando came about. I moved there with my aunt to go to school since certain schools would accept me. When I found out that Dunbar didn't give me any of my credits, I began to get very discourage. I was a slow worker and I felt like I would not graduate in time. So many thoughts were rushing across my mind and nobody was there to help lift me up until I met 4 friends that were going through somewhat the same thing but dealing with different issues. We all became close friends and they all end up graduating. But for me I didn't get ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 29. Difference Between Miscarriage And Ectopic Pregnancy Have you ever had an experience that changed your life in a blink of an eye? An experience so intense that it keeps replaying in your head? I'm nineteen years old and in these days it's not shocking to hear young girls getting pregnant, but no matter what age, it's always hard to hear about any type of miscarriage. An ectopic pregnancy was what I had, and I'm still recovering from it. 1 in 4 girls have an ectopic pregnancy, which is also called a tubal pregnancy. It is not considered a miscarriage, but it is considered to be in the same category as one. The difference between a miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy is that with a miscarriage, the fetus is still growing but along the way something happens. An ectopic pregnancy (tubal pregnancy) is when the fetus is misplaced in a fallopian tube and the tube ruptures which can cause you to bleed out to death. This is very difficult to find since an ultrasound can't pick it up ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While I was in the recovery room, my surgeon came in and told my boyfriend and I that the fetus had grown to the point where my tube ripped so they had to remove my left fallopian tube completely. My first thought was my baby and why this had to happen to me. Everything happened so fast that I didn't know how to process all of it. It was hard to know that I was pregnant one moment and then the next having that amazing feeling getting ripped away from me. A couple hours later I was finally able to go home and rest. As days go on I think about all the things that happened to me in that short period of time. I didn't know what an ectopic pregnancy was until that day. I had an experience that changed my life completely in just in a blink of an eye. Even though 19 is still a young age, it should never happen to anyone. I stop to think every day about that day and what had happened to me was a tragedy. Ever since then, I've seen how much I have changed and because of that I cherish life ... • 30. The Pros And Cons Of Abortion I chose this topic because it is a very important topic the world is trying to deal with. I have a very strong beliefs and the people that I know have very strong beliefs concerning abortion. Merriam–Webster dictionary describes abortion as, 1("The termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus.") 2(Abortion has been legal in the United States since 1973. From 1980 to 2013 abortions have caused the deaths in over 13 million deaths in the U.S. alone.) That is equal to the number of people Hitler exterminated in World War II. 3(There are many risks to abortion. An immediate effect is that the mother may die of complication from the procedure. Later in life, if the mother would want to have children, she may not be able to because of the damage done by the abortion procedure.) There are many other risks, but these are the top two. 4(Abortion began back in the first 100 years of our country where women would take drugs to terminate the pregnancy. It was not until the 1930's that laws were created and strictly enforced. But, in the 1970's was abortion was legalized. Views of abortion have changed. From the 1700's to the late 1800's abortion was viewed as the last resort for a woman that had gotten herself pregnant and wasn't married or didn't get pregnant with her husband. If this was to happen, and word got out, the mother would be shunned for getting pregnant and cursed at for terminating a pregnancy. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 34. Personal Experience In My Life I look up to see a smiling baby with blue eyes, so sweet and innocent. Who knew life would throw these obstacles at us. Only a few days old and her future began to become unclear, already having to go through life changing surgeries. Everybody has a personal experience, some happy while others are not as joyful. It seemed like this little blue eyed girl would never catch a break. Her mother – who was the Girlfriend of my Brothers Best Friend, who is kind of like a Brother to me – posted on Facebook, a Social Media site, every couple of minutes updating her loved ones about information on her precious baby. As the minutes proceeded to crawl by slower and slower I started to get worried. When I finally arrived at the Hospital I got the message I was dreading, they have been moved into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As I tried to hold myself together, I ambled throughout the Hospital halls, leading my mother toward the ICU. As we entered the room, we saw a crowd of familiar faces gathered by a Hospital bed. • 35. Life Has Learned In My Life At the age of six I had not given much thought about life and death, but this day changed that. As a baby, I cannot imagine all the things I did that put myself in danger. I was completely unaware of the consequences of my actions. As a child, I was playful, innocent, and cheerful. Throughout my years of growing up I have learned many lessons through life. Only a few events happened before this one that I can remember. On my 6th birthday, life could have been lost, and from that I learned to always be careful and that life can change in an instant. First, I woke up Saturday afternoon. Since it was Saturday, I slept longer than usual. Today was the day chosen to celebrate my birthday, which was actually a few days before. It was my 6th birthday party. My parents and I decided that the party would take place at our home. We invited all our neighbors and friends. I was young, energetic, and ready to enjoy life. Next, I got out of my Rugrats sheet covered bed. I headed down the narrow and white hallway to the living room. I greeted my parents and had a small breakfast. I ate scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast. After eating I asked my parents if I could ride my bike with friends before coming back home. My parents agreed that was ok. I went into the garage to get my blue, new, Mongoose bicycle. My bicycle was a gift from my parents, which I received on my birthday. If you hadn't met that person would your life be different? The lovely part of life is that nobody has traveled the path in life that anyone has paved for themselves. Therefore, nobody has seen what another has seen and even felt the same in those moments. Like for example, one person could have witnessed child birth but the other person had a child.
