For Chef Arun Chanda, Founder Director, Mint Hotels & Restaurants
Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., 1993 was a watershed year when he graduated from
the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition
(IHMCT&AN), Bhubaneswar, and won the prestigious Most Promising &
Upcoming Chef Of The Year Award at Hotel Cidade de Goa, a 5 star beach
resort in Dona Paula, Goa.
Then on, and over 16 years till 2009, singular accolades and commendations
for his performance as Chef poured in from esteemed employers, namely,
Centaur Hotel, Radisson, Park Royal, Oberoi Group of Hotels, Ambassador’s
Group of Hotels, and Graviss Hospitality, located in Goa, Mumbai, Kolkata and
Delhi, as also for his role as General Manager of leading brands.
In 2009, banking on his acclaimed professional expertise, and successes as an
initiator of ideas and endeavours, Arun launched his own Hospitality
Consulting firm, “Mint Hotels & Restaurants Consultancy Pvt. Ltd.”, based
out of New Delhi, India. The Company conceptualizes Food and Beverage
(F&B) Brands, Menu Development, Food Styling, and Kitchen and Bar
Designs, besides undertaking Brand Development and Operational Processes.
Along with completed and current projects pan-India, Chef Arun has been
actively associated with enterprises in the United States, both since up-and-
running and presently on-the-anvil.
Led by Chef Arun, and in the wake of his 28 years’ rich and varied experience,

Chef Arun Chanda was hired as a consultant Chef for Nestle India RND department at
their corporate office in Gurgaon, Haryana, India for 2 years. During that time he worked
with their R&D team to develop new flavours for pastas, noodles & soups, created recipe
books for Regional Indian dishes with the application of their product “Bhuna Masala”.
Later he also worked on ready Indian Gravies recipes for retail & commercial markets.
Arun Chanda is the chief consultant for New Product Development (NPD Kitchen) for
Jubilant Consumer Pvt. Ltd. and doing product development for “Go Gourmet”, ”
Nitro Café” and other International and Indian QSR brands.
