I. Research Topic
My research topic is “Recommendations for dealing with
the enhancement of the outdated marketing systems at eBay”. I
attended an internship program at eBay. EBay is a commerce
company that conducts its operations through its stub Hub,
marketplace, and classified platforms. Additionally, eBay
ensures that it assists in enabling commerce on its platforms for
sellers and buyers online through the employment of their
computers and mobile devices. Througho ut my internship
program, I noticed that the company has established an open
source platform that offers merchants and software developers
can access to its APIs-Application Programming Interfaces for
creating web development software that offers solutions to
commerce. However, its online marketing systems were
operating systems embrace an outdated technology of online
marketing.
II. Overall Purpose of the Project
As much as eBay offers a marketing solution to online
sellers and buyers, its main challenges revolve around the
following issues that will serve as the baseline of the objectives
of this research
· Outdated System: EBay possess a relatively outdate buyer and
seller systems. In fact, eBay is trying to create a new model that
is currently in beta stages since the old existing system favors
buyers over sellers
· Google’s algorithm: Another major challenge at eBay revolves
around its Google search ranking. In other words, a change in
the criteria used in eBay search algorithm impacted eBay
negatively in terms of the ability to surface on search results.
· Amazon: There is no well-known online retailer that offers
competition to eBay than Amazon. Comment by Fernand
Seminario: expand on how this is a problem for ebay. the fact
that there is competition is the reality of the world
III. An Overview of the Company
EBay Inc. was incorporate on March 13 1998 as a
commerce company. It carries out its activities through market
hub, classifieds platforms, and Stan Hub. Moreover, EBay
concentrates on enabling commerce through its application
platforms for sellers and buyers though their computers and
mobile phones. In fact, eBay has established an open platform
that allows buyers and sellers to interact freely while at the
same time giving software and application developer easy
accessibility to its Application Programming Interfaces for
commerce solutions and developing application software.
IV. Recommendations
The suggestions that would improve the current problems
facing eBay would revolve around the following aspects
· Evolving with the advancement of technology: Embracing
technology will ensure that any changes in the Information and
Technology systems are updated into eBay systems hence
making their web application more dynamic and evolving based
on the technological demands and the needs of the consumers.
Comment by Fernand Seminario: how expand on the web
appliction and dynamic, what systems or options are being
introduced. this requires research the fact they need to know
something is evident what do they need to do. you then expand
on the implementation on how to implement it
· Importance of differentiating its online marketing products
and services: differentiation will ensure that the products and
services offered at eBay are unique as compared to those found
in other online retail stores like Amazon. In so doing, it will
enhance consumer satisfaction and eliminate the challenges
associated with greater competition from Amazon.
· Employing structured data as a top priority: This will play a
very crucial role in improving the ranking of the search results
and could be the answer to eBay’s website search optimization
challenge. Comment by Fernand Seminario: how will this be
accomplished. what data would be top priority how would you
identify the data. also incorporate to the implementation be
specific.
V. Three Step-by-step Implementation Plans
Since the project tries to establish some of the problems
facing the marketing system of EBAY, it is important for its
recommendations to be systematic. In other words, the
recommendations brought forwards should be influential for
improving the service delivery at eBay.
· Embracing technological advancements Comment by Fernand
Seminario: how do you recognize tech advancement , how
would employees recognize benefits of tech advancement.
· Rewarding employees that recognize technological
advancements that can be embedded into eBay marketing
system.
· Encouraging employees to recognize the benefits of
technological advancements
· Passing on the praise on any employee who has a new business
idea in terms of web development application
· Acknowledging the significance of product differentiation
· Collecting information on the tastes and preferences of
customers Comment by Fernand Seminario: how do you plan to
collect information.
· Conducting meetings to discuss on the feedback obtained from
customer reviews and word of mouth opinion about eBay
products.
· Maintaining transparency within the channels of
communication about the products and service delivery
information
· Employing structured data
· Using keywords that possess high ranking status when
enlisting data online
· To reward the IT department when they recognize any website
search optimization idea that will benefit the company
· Collecting and establishing data based on trends and changing
tastes and preferences of customers
VI. Projections and Benefits to the Company Based on the
Recommendations
Implementing the recommendations suggested in the
project first, the company will be able to improve on their
online marketing systems since new ideas and technological
advancements applications would replace the outdated
marketing system at eBay. Second, through differentiation of its
products and services, eBay will be able to offer more unique
goods that will ensure that any form of competition emanating
from Amazon regarding product and service value is well
catered for. Finally, based on the recommendations on
employing structured data, eBay will be able to establish ways
of improving their Google search ranking though data structures
and employee encouragements.

Establish a Strategy to Gain Customer Loyalty for Lenovo
1. Research Topic
My research topic talks about how to establish a strategy
that will enhance customer loyalty at Lenovo. The year 2015
was a very challenging year for Lenovo and so was the case for
the PC business. One of my friends has been working at Lenovo
as from march 2014 until now. During his time there, he noted
that as much as Lenovo has remained one of the global icons as
the largest PC manufacturer, customer loyalty has been one of
its weather storms because of the ever-changing technological
trends.
2. Overall Objectives
This research paper is focused on establishing the most
convenient techniques to solve the problems that are faced by
Lenovo. The problems include:
· Product malfunction and failure: as is the case with many
electronics, Lenovo has faced a number of criticisms regarding
a piece of bloatware that was found in one of their computers.
· Counterfeit products : As the level of technology advances so
are the increment of counterfeit goods Comment by Fernand
Seminario: how is this specific to Lenovo or how do you tie it
into Lenovo expand on this what weakness do they have in
design in which you can make a recommendation to change.
· Private data leakages: The superfish adware on its computers
can break the HTTPS connection to inject an advert hence
making the privacy of its users vulnerable Comment by
Fernand Seminario: is this a software related issue expand on
the specifics how is this hardware if any or user driven
3. Company Overview
Lenovo is a personal technology company and is currently
the largest Personal Computer maker in the world as well an
emerging PC plus reader. Additionally, a global Fortune 500
company has major research centers in Japan, China, and North
Carolina. It serves customers in more than 160 countries.
Lenovo is established based on product innovation, efficient
global supply chain, and strong strategic measures. The
company develops manufactures, and markets highly reliable,
high quality and highly secure technology products and services
that are easy to use. Lenovo maintains high ethical standards
and upholds employee welfare.
4. Recommendations
Product malfunction and failure are mainly because of
failure to do relevant pre-tests on products before releasing
them into the market. Such a challenge can cause a great
negative impact on the company’s product trust. In addition,
product malfunction and failure could result from the use of
technology that is not well established. To solve such a problem
the company would require a number of steps to ensure it
upholds product quality and performance. The steps are as
follows:
· Ensure sufficient research is done before implementing a
technology: a good research before the adoption of a technology
would ensure that issues to do with customer privacy are
eliminated. Comment by Fernand Seminario: how
· Establish ways of dealing with counterfeit products: Since
Lenovo is a global brand; it should ensure that its customers are
aware of the unique logo of their brand on their products.
Comment by Fernand Seminario: are you saying they don't
have this if not where would you place this compared to where
it is at
· Establish ways of ensuring data privacy: A clear background
check before accepting any advertisements will ensure that the
cases of personification and privacy of the consumers is
maintained. Comment by Fernand Seminario: how is this
related to the 3rd problem
5. Three Step-by-step Implementation Plans
· Ensure sufficient research is done before adopting a particular
technology Comment by Fernand Seminario: provide
examples or action plan as to how these employees will get this
· Make sure that the employees involved in sensitive sectors of
product development are highly skilled and new employees are
sufficiently supervised.
· Product testing is done before releasing it into the market.
Comment by Fernand Seminario: are you saying they dont
do it and if they do which i image how is it limited or what is
lacking
· Establish ways of dealing with counterfeit products
Comment by Fernand Seminario: what technology are you
recommending to implement.
· Use highly sophisticated technology on their products to avoid
easy counterfeiting.
· Design a product signature to make it possible to identify a
genuine company product.
· Change the identification signatures from time to time.
Comment by Fernand Seminario: look above so you can
expand here
· Establishing ways to improve on the data privacy
· Conduct sufficient personal background check before
recruiting employees into the company workforce.
· Establish close employee supervision and surveillance to
enhance monitoring to reduce the chances of malpractice around
the company premises.
· Restrict access to its research sites, records, and information
offices as well as highly protecting information on possi ble
technological improvement.
6. Projections and Benefits of the Company Based on the
Recommendations
Based on the research recommendations, it is important for
a company to assess their technology in order to prevent any
dangers to do with technological malfunctioning. Additionally,
testing of the technology will ensure that any potential risks and
mistakes that may have hampered the advancement of Lenovo
products early enough.
Information provided by the project will be useful to the
Lenovo Company in different ways. In simple terms, dealing
with the production of malware products will increase customer
confidence in the company’s products that is very necessary for
securing a wider market for products. Besides, through the
implementation of the privacy promotion techniques will ensure
that the unauthorized access to company information could
reduce to half the current possibility. In fact, ensuring
production of well-functioning products as well promotes
customer confidence that in the process will enhance the issue
of customer loyalty at Lenovo. Comment by Fernand Seminario:
do you mean dealing with anti malware?

Establishing ways to enhance employee productivity
1. Research Topic
The research topic of this research revolves around
establishing ways of enhancing the productivity of employees at
Samsung. I worked at Samsung Inc. Group during my internship
program for two months. As much as Samsung is a global
company, I realized that most of the potential of workers at
Samsung is not fully exploited. In other words, most of them are
underemployed. Therefore, to ensure that Samsung is realizing
net revenues from the activity of its workers, it is important to
establish ways in which its customers can be fully exploited.
Comment by Fernand Seminario: or employees??
2. Overall purpose of the project
Despite the fact that Samsung boasts of one of the largest
labor force around the globe, it is important to note that this
labor force is not utilized appropriately. Additionally, if a
company is able to utilize the labor force that is at its disposal,
they can be able to improve on their financial performance. To
deal with this issue, the following objectives needs to be
addressed Comment by Fernand Seminario: re word this as this
is your problem portion correct?
· Enhance employee motivation – Through reward schemes and
incentives, the employee motivation could help enhance their
output to the benefit of the company
· Improve employee networking – Samsung employees lack the
will to cooperate with one another towards the company’s
success
· Employee empowerment – Samsung employees are not offered
the opportunities to grow in terms of skills hence derailing their
overall output
3. Company Overview
Samsung is an electronics company that is the chief
subsidiary of South Korea’s giant Samsung group and is the
largest electronics producer in Asia. The company operates four
main products divisions; digital media, semiconductors,
information, and communications and home appliances.
Samsung was established in 1969 as a branch of the Korean
Samsung Group, since then, it has grown gradually, and in the
process, it has developed a diverse line of consumer electronics.
The company as well as produces, manufactures ships and sells
a wide range of appliances and electronic products over the
world.
4. Recommendations
In order to realize maximum exploitation of Samsung
employees output levels, Samsung would need to implement a
highly effective measures that will ensure that their employee
remain motivated throughout their labor hours. Additionally, the
strategy should put into consideration the benefits as well as the
costs that the company will incur during the implementation
process. Employee motivation proves to be key to employee
performance and should therefore, be the company’s priority for
its workers. Recommendations for improvement on workers
output were as follows:
· Establish ways of enhancing employee empowerment:
Establishment of records and employee performance appraisals
that require each and every employee to record their activities
will play a crucial role in empowering them Comment by
Fernand Seminario: this is similar to the problem reword and
resubmit call it version 2 .
· Improve employee-networking strategies: employee
networking encourages teamwork that is best in realizing the
company’s objective. Besides, this can be achieved through
simulation activities.
· Establish ways of enhancing employee motivation: A highly
motivated worker is capable of doing a high quality work.
Incentives and rewards are some of the ways employees are
motivated.
5. Three step-by-step implementation plans Comment by
Fernand Seminario: i stopped here you need to re work this.
look at my sample to re structure your paper. identify each
problem and be specific.
separate recommendation and implementation and remember be
specific on what you recommend and how you plan to
implement it. make sure it is not something they already are
doing
· Enhancing employee empowerment:
· Conducting an employee performance appraisal where every
employee records the activities they have undertaken and the
impact they think they have on the company performance.
· Comparing the performances of each employee is important in
encouraging the best performers.
· A reward and incentive scheme should be set up to encourage
workers and empower them to work even harder.
· Enhancing employee networking:
· Giving workers chances to relate with one another on a
personal level helps to build a stronger relationship hence
assisting in building a great working environment.
· Identifying departments that have the less proportionality of
interaction between members and creating activities for them
that will help build their interpersonal and intra-personal skills.
· Making departments bureaucracy simpler to enable workers to
meet and know one another.
· Enhancing employee empowerment:
· Establishment of training and skill development activities that
will sharpen the skills of employees and develop their
knowledge.
· Taking employees on training and forums
· Organizing brainstorming sessions
6. Projections and benefits of the company based on the
recommendations
Employee motivation brings along a working mood that
promotes willing participation towards achieving the company’s
goals. When employees are evaluated based on their
performance, it is argued that each one of them will try to do
their best to have the best records regarding their performance
Adoption of the recommendations above will definitely ensure
that the performance of its workers is of the required standards.
In other words, cases to do with workers motivation,
unwillgness to cooperate, and under-employment will reduce.
Therefore, the implementation of this project offers a
framework that can be employed by not only Samsung but other
companies to tackle any issues that revolve around workers
motivation.

Research Topic My research topic talks about how to establish a strategy that will enhance customer loyalty at Lenovo. The year 2015
  • 8. was a very challenging year for Lenovo and so was the case for the PC business. One of my friends has been working at Lenovo as from march 2014 until now. During his time there, he noted that as much as Lenovo has remained one of the global icons as the largest PC manufacturer, customer loyalty has been one of its weather storms because of the ever-changing technological trends. 2. Overall Objectives This research paper is focused on establishing the most convenient techniques to solve the problems that are faced by Lenovo. The problems include: · Product malfunction and failure: as is the case with many electronics, Lenovo has faced a number of criticisms regarding a piece of bloatware that was found in one of their computers. · Counterfeit products : As the level of technology advances so are the increment of counterfeit goods Comment by Fernand Seminario: how is this specific to Lenovo or how do you tie it into Lenovo expand on this what weakness do they have in design in which you can make a recommendation to change. · Private data leakages: The superfish adware on its computers can break the HTTPS connection to inject an advert hence making the privacy of its users vulnerable Comment by Fernand Seminario: is this a software related issue expand on the specifics how is this hardware if any or user driven 3. Company Overview Lenovo is a personal technology company and is currently the largest Personal Computer maker in the world as well an emerging PC plus reader. Additionally, a global Fortune 500 company has major research centers in Japan, China, and North Carolina. It serves customers in more than 160 countries. Lenovo is established based on product innovation, efficient global supply chain, and strong strategic measures. The company develops manufactures, and markets highly reliable, high quality and highly secure technology products and services
  • 9. that are easy to use. Lenovo maintains high ethical standards and upholds employee welfare. 4. Recommendations Product malfunction and failure are mainly because of failure to do relevant pre-tests on products before releasing them into the market. Such a challenge can cause a great negative impact on the company’s product trust. In addition, product malfunction and failure could result from the use of technology that is not well established. To solve such a problem the company would require a number of steps to ensure it upholds product quality and performance. The steps are as follows: · Ensure sufficient research is done before implementing a technology: a good research before the adoption of a technology would ensure that issues to do with customer privacy are eliminated. Comment by Fernand Seminario: how · Establish ways of dealing with counterfeit products: Since Lenovo is a global brand; it should ensure that its customers are aware of the unique logo of their brand on their products. Comment by Fernand Seminario: are you saying they don't have this if not where would you place this compared to where it is at · Establish ways of ensuring data privacy: A clear background check before accepting any advertisements will ensure that the cases of personification and privacy of the consumers is maintained. Comment by Fernand Seminario: how is this related to the 3rd problem 5. Three Step-by-step Implementation Plans · Ensure sufficient research is done before adopting a particular technology Comment by Fernand Seminario: provide examples or action plan as to how these employees will get this · Make sure that the employees involved in sensitive sectors of product development are highly skilled and new employees are sufficiently supervised.
  • 10. · Product testing is done before releasing it into the market. Comment by Fernand Seminario: are you saying they dont do it and if they do which i image how is it limited or what is lacking · Establish ways of dealing with counterfeit products Comment by Fernand Seminario: what technology are you recommending to implement. · Use highly sophisticated technology on their products to avoid easy counterfeiting. · Design a product signature to make it possible to identify a genuine company product. · Change the identification signatures from time to time. Comment by Fernand Seminario: look above so you can expand here · Establishing ways to improve on the data privacy · Conduct sufficient personal background check before recruiting employees into the company workforce. · Establish close employee supervision and surveillance to enhance monitoring to reduce the chances of malpractice around the company premises. · Restrict access to its research sites, records, and information offices as well as highly protecting information on possi ble technological improvement. 6. Projections and Benefits of the Company Based on the Recommendations Based on the research recommendations, it is important for a company to assess their technology in order to prevent any dangers to do with technological malfunctioning. Additionally, testing of the technology will ensure that any potential risks and mistakes that may have hampered the advancement of Lenovo products early enough. Information provided by the project will be useful to the Lenovo Company in different ways. In simple terms, dealing with the production of malware products will increase customer confidence in the company’s products that is very necessary for
  • 11. securing a wider market for products. Besides, through the implementation of the privacy promotion techniques will ensure that the unauthorized access to company information could reduce to half the current possibility. In fact, ensuring production of well-functioning products as well promotes customer confidence that in the process will enhance the issue of customer loyalty at Lenovo. Comment by Fernand Seminario: do you mean dealing with anti malware? Establishing ways to enhance employee productivity at SAMSUNG Submitted to Alex Seminario Submitted By Name : Vejendla Naga Surya Kiran Student ID : 5154130 California University of Management and Science - Virginia Date: October 4, 2016
  • 12. Establishing ways to enhance employee productivity 1. Research Topic The research topic of this research revolves around establishing ways of enhancing the productivity of employees at Samsung. I worked at Samsung Inc. Group during my internship program for two months. As much as Samsung is a global company, I realized that most of the potential of workers at Samsung is not fully exploited. In other words, most of them are underemployed. Therefore, to ensure that Samsung is realizing net revenues from the activity of its workers, it is important to establish ways in which its customers can be fully exploited. Comment by Fernand Seminario: or employees?? 2. Overall purpose of the project Despite the fact that Samsung boasts of one of the largest labor force around the globe, it is important to note that this labor force is not utilized appropriately. Additionally, if a company is able to utilize the labor force that is at its disposal, they can be able to improve on their financial performance. To deal with this issue, the following objectives needs to be addressed Comment by Fernand Seminario: re word this as this is your problem portion correct? · Enhance employee motivation – Through reward schemes and incentives, the employee motivation could help enhance their output to the benefit of the company · Improve employee networking – Samsung employees lack the will to cooperate with one another towards the company’s success · Employee empowerment – Samsung employees are not offered the opportunities to grow in terms of skills hence derailing their overall output 3. Company Overview Samsung is an electronics company that is the chief subsidiary of South Korea’s giant Samsung group and is the largest electronics producer in Asia. The company operates four
  • 13. main products divisions; digital media, semiconductors, information, and communications and home appliances. Samsung was established in 1969 as a branch of the Korean Samsung Group, since then, it has grown gradually, and in the process, it has developed a diverse line of consumer electronics. The company as well as produces, manufactures ships and sells a wide range of appliances and electronic products over the world. 4. Recommendations In order to realize maximum exploitation of Samsung employees output levels, Samsung would need to implement a highly effective measures that will ensure that their employee remain motivated throughout their labor hours. Additionally, the strategy should put into consideration the benefits as well as the costs that the company will incur during the implementation process. Employee motivation proves to be key to employee performance and should therefore, be the company’s priority for its workers. Recommendations for improvement on workers output were as follows: · Establish ways of enhancing employee empowerment: Establishment of records and employee performance appraisals that require each and every employee to record their activities will play a crucial role in empowering them Comment by Fernand Seminario: this is similar to the problem reword and resubmit call it version 2 . · Improve employee-networking strategies: employee networking encourages teamwork that is best in realizing the company’s objective. Besides, this can be achieved through simulation activities. · Establish ways of enhancing employee motivation: A highly motivated worker is capable of doing a high quality work. Incentives and rewards are some of the ways employees are motivated. 5. Three step-by-step implementation plans Comment by Fernand Seminario: i stopped here you need to re work this.
  • 14. look at my sample to re structure your paper. identify each problem and be specific. separate recommendation and implementation and remember be specific on what you recommend and how you plan to implement it. make sure it is not something they already are doing · Enhancing employee empowerment: · Conducting an employee performance appraisal where every employee records the activities they have undertaken and the impact they think they have on the company performance. · Comparing the performances of each employee is important in encouraging the best performers. · A reward and incentive scheme should be set up to encourage workers and empower them to work even harder. · Enhancing employee networking: · Giving workers chances to relate with one another on a personal level helps to build a stronger relationship hence assisting in building a great working environment. · Identifying departments that have the less proportionality of interaction between members and creating activities for them that will help build their interpersonal and intra-personal skills. · Making departments bureaucracy simpler to enable workers to meet and know one another. · Enhancing employee empowerment: · Establishment of training and skill development activities that will sharpen the skills of employees and develop their knowledge. · Taking employees on training and forums · Organizing brainstorming sessions 6. Projections and benefits of the company based on the recommendations Employee motivation brings along a working mood that promotes willing participation towards achieving the company’s goals.
