3. INTRODUCTION
• The first in the history of the Kazakh periodicals
was undoubtedly the newspaper "Turkistan
newspaper", published in 1870-1882 in Tashkent in
the form of an appendix to the official press of the
Turkestan governor-general - "Turkestan Gazeti". It
was published four times a month in turn in Kazakh
and Uzbek languages.
• The role and significance of the newspaper "Qazaq"
in the life of the Kazakh people have become even
more significant, even fateful, especially during the
First World War and subsequent historical events
that took place in 1916-1918 in the Kazakh territory
and the Russian Empire.
4. • "Qazaq" was published for more than five years
- from February 2, 1913, to March 1918. By the
summer of 1917, the editorial office of the
newspaper, as M. Dulatuly reported in his article
"Qazaq baspahanasy" had its own printing press,
two service cars, a large stock typographical
fonts for the release of both Kazakh printed
products (on the Arabic schedule or "that's
jazzy"), and Russian, as well as all necessary
publishing equipment. The following fact can
serve as a clear indication of the popularity of
the newspaper in the Kazakh society.

“AKMULLA” THE MAGAGINE “AIKAP”IN THE FORMATION OF THE
NATIONAL IDENTITY OF THE KAZAKH PEOPLE.
• The national identity of any national community is determined by a variety of
factors, including historical, political, cultural, linguistic, territorial, civilizational
and other.
• The issue of identification and self-identification of its representatives is complex
and relevant in the development of society. Because it means how much a person
identifies himself or not identifies with society. This is a sense of belonging,
identifying an individual with someone or something, helping him successfully
assimilate his norms and values, transferring the qualities and characteristics of his
external environment to the individual. Identity serves as the basis for the
imitation process, so to say not violent, but free choice of those qualities, skills
and values that he would like to possess.
6. • . It is well known that each person belongs to a particular ethnic group.
Ethnic identity serves as the cultural basis of ethnopolitical mobilization,
which should be considered as the willingness of people united on an ethnic
basis to group actions for the realization of ethnic interests.
• The Roles of Newspaper, Newspaper keep the people aware of the
activities of the government. They mobilize public opinion. They play an
important role in fighting the menace of corruption. In a democracy, there
should be an efficient and fearless press. press is the mirror of the society.
Newspaper is one of the initial communication tools of the society.
They’ve been the most usual and a generally received medium to be used
in conveying the local, regional, international, and national news to
readers. Ever since the beginning of the society,the newspapers were
published to convey the latest happening in different parts worldwide.
7. • Newspapers play an important role in a democracy. They act as bridge
between the government and the governed. Everybody, except a few read
the newspaper everyday.
• A scheduled meeting of the editorial board of the international literary and artistic
socio-political magazine "AIKAP" was held. The journal is published by KazNU
named after al-Farabi. The content of the publication is intended to fill the spiritual
potential of the nation, in the context of the project "Ruhani jangyru" - "Spiritual
Modernization". The editorial staff includes prominent scientists, experienced
journalists. The magazine "Aikap" is popular among the readership in the republic
and abroad.

KUBEEV,SULTANMUKHMUD TORAIGYROV AND OTHERS.
• Seralin Mukhamedzhan (1872-1929) is a writer, poet, publicist
and journalist. He was born in Karabalyk municipality of
Kostanay region. He attended medrese in Troitsk and
graduated from two years Russian-Tatarian school.
• In 1905-1907 he issued journal Aikap in Kazakh language in
Troitsk. Editor of Troitsk printing-office Energy Kh. Sosnovsky
and other representatives of progressive Russian and Kazakh
intelligentsia greatly supported him. During five years the
journal carried out an educational msission among common
people. It played an important role in the development of the
Kazakh written literature.
9. • In 1905-1907 he issued journal Aikap in Kazakh language in Troitsk. Editor
of Troitsk printing-office Energy Kh. Sosnovsky and other representatives
of progressive Russian and Kazakh intelligentsia greatly supported him.
During five years the journal carried out an educational msission among
common people. It played an important role in the development of the
Kazakh written literature.
• An important place in Toraigyrov’s work is occupied by the poem “Who is to
blame”, which shows the historical changes in the Kazakh steppe and the
philosophical poem “Life in misconceptions”, in which each chapter is devoted to
a certain stage in the life of a man.
10. CONCLUSION
• In the early 20th century, the Kazakh printed press was under hard censorship – no
spread of liberal ideas, the printing press publishes journals that are loyal to czarist
regime, others are closed by the authorities and the publishers are sent into exile.
However, the growth of revolutionary sentiments, which took place in 1905-1914,
occurs the increased national self-identity of Kazakh people. There are created
political parties, which show pro-opposition ideas, and spontaneous rallies.
