Explore the Moroccan themed 18th birthday party set up by The Arabian Tent Party with unique entertainers and a magical alternative to formal dining for birthday parties.
2. Now is the time for a warning; to all eighteen year old, and to anyone
who has ever been eighteen reading this; if you're prone to a touch of
the 'green eyed monster', this post may just tip you over the edge...
3. Stuart put so much effort into the preparations for his daughters 18th birthday -
he called us with a vision for a Moroccan themed tent with separate areas for the
dining and dancing in order to create a fun filled first step into adulthood.
4. On a beautifully sunny day in July, the
Cornish Cream dining marquee was set
up and laid with relaxed, low dining
furnitures, a chilled-out alternative to
formal dining for an 18th birthday party,
and a perfect summer look.
The tables were laid with pretty white
Moroccan lanterns and brightly coloured
flowers by Lewisiana Florists adding
fresh pops of colour to the subtle
marquee interior.
5. Guests arrived and were entertained by some very unique walkabout
performers provided by our friends at Livestock productions...
The lady above had a host of friendly pet snakes
(some curled up on her head) to introduce to the guests.
An unusual and successful ice breaker!
6. Cocktails flowed as guests toasted the birthday girl and soaked
up the glorious July sunshine!
7. Then all settled down to a
mouth-watering Moroccan
banquet delightfully
prepared by Parsons
Creative food..
8. Magic was in the air when night fell on the party…
The La Rouge party marquee looked exquisite next to the
contrasting colours of the uplit trees and the deep blue summer sky
9. Guests soaked up the atmosphere and chatted round the crackling fire pit..
10. Excitement built as a tantalising belly-dancer
accompanied by Eastern
drummers and musicians dazzled the
crowd, after which the fiery Hula girl stole
the floor with her sensational act.
An impressive array of dancers and
their enchanting props (including
swords, veils and Egyptian sticks)
mesmerised the guests.
The performer's authenticity and
passion for dance left the guests
chanting for more!
11. Ready for the final surprise of the evening, Stuart introduced Radio 1 DJ Nick
Grimshaw, who arrived to shrieks of delight from the entire party:
