3. こまったベンダー
 I wish vendors would stop shipping obsolete
software. Postfix 2.1 is almost finished, and
they still ship Postfix 1.1.
 Any particular distribution, like RedHat or
something that I may have on a ready-to-
install CD? I would not spend a day
downloading bits and pieces.
 If a reboot fixes a problem then it is not a
Postfix problem, but rather a broken
operating system.

4. ＳＰＡＭ対策はやりすぎるな
 Spammers do not destroy the infrastructure. It's good-willing
folks who destroy it with lame countermeasures.
 Sorry, good-willing folks with lame counter-measures are
destroying the infrastructure faster. Postfix must be kept free
from such crud.
 Don't ask me to have the Postfix create multiple queue files per
input transaction, one per recipient class. It's either not robust
or it' incredibly expensive.

5. 計測しようよ
 Your best option is to measure the
performance (for example, with the smtp-
source and smtp-sink utilities that ship with
Postfix).
 With 130.000 queue files, one level of
hashing is probably sufficient. The exact
number depends on your hardware and on
your file system implementation.
 Too many levels will actually slow Postfix
down.

6. 限界を知りましょう
 On a faster LAN, sending a 1-bit query takes
as long as sending a 1000 bit query.
 Faster LANs don't make bits go faster. They
make bits travel more closely together, so
that more bits arrive per unit time.
 Still, the bits don't go faster than the speed of
light.
