5. Open Policy Meeting (OPM) 2018
• 13th July, 2018: IP member meeting was held onsite in Hanoi
City and two remote sites via teleconference in Hochiminh
and Da Nang City.
• Main topic: IPv6 deployment within VNNIC IP members
• Speakers:
• Ms Anna from APNIC gave a presentation on Internet
resource management in our region and IPv6 trends and
measurements as well as IPv4 transfers.
• VNPT Group representative shared their IPv6
experiences on Mobile and FTTH services.
• An Authority (The Authority of Information Technology
Application) of MIC also informed new policy requiring
Government agencies need to deploy IPv6 for Portal and
public services.

6. Routing training course
• 10-12 July, 2018: Routing II Training Course.
• APNIC held the routing training course for Vietnam
community in VNNIC office.
• The trainers: Mr. Tashi Phuntsho – Senior Network
Analyst (two VNNIC staff supported Tashi during the
course).
• Attendees: Technical staff of some biggest ISP, Network
Operators, government agencies and some enterprises
(VNPT, Viettel Group, MIC, MOFA …).

7. VNIX-NOG 2018
• 24th Aug, 2018: VNIX-NOG 2018 was held in
Danang City (3rd VNIX-NOG conference).
• Main topic: Routing Security.
• Speakers: The experts from APNIC, ISOC,
JPNIC, Facebook, Cloudflare, Fukuoka University
and some biggest ISPs, ICPs in Vietnam (VNPT,
Viettel, FPT Telecom, CMC Telecom).
• Website: 2018.vnix-nog.vn.

8. Main IPv6 activities (1/2)
May 2018: Vietnam IPv6 Day IPv6 Training for Government Agencies
in HCMC (9-11/5/2018)
Jan, 2018: Presented MIC Award to
enterprises who contributed greatly to
IPv6 deployment in 2017

17. 1. IPv6 activities
• Vietnam National IPv6 Action Plan will finish in 2019,
the evaluation form will be publiced at the end of this
year.
• IPv6 training for many Departments of Information and
Communications in Hai Duong Province (25-
26/9/2018).
• The VNIPv6TF will pay working visits to some ISP,
ICP, Mobile operators in next month.
