2. Problems comes in solving numerical
• Whenever object is at rest and then start move
always take (initial velocity)u = 0.
• Object is moving with some speed/velocity,
always take it that value as velocity ‘v’.
• If it is ask to calculate distance, when
acceleration is present their, then use formula
S = ut + ½ at2 or 2aS = v2 – u2
• If acceleration is not there the you can use
S = D/T.
3. Problems to be solved:
1. A truck with uniform velocity of 12 m/s moving with
uniform acceleration of 3 m/s2. Calculate the distance
covered by the truck. Ans: 24 m
2. A car is on rest started by a driver to attain the distance of 40
m in 12 seconds. What will be the acceleration of car at that
time? Ans: 0.56 m/s2
3. Four cyclers participated in race competition has their speed
12 m/s, 6 m/s, 8 m/s and 10 m/s respectively. If time is given
to complete the race is 24 seconds, then what is the
acceleration of each cycler? I = 0.5 m/s2,
II = 0.25 m/s2, III = 0.33 m/s2, IV = 0.41 m/s2
