I have qualification for a system operator and a dispatcher.I worked in substation construction
as well as operation and maintenance.I have knowledge of the Scada System,RTU
System,communication and test equipment. I have installed and maintained substation,high
voltage transformers, transmission lines, high voltage breaker, distribution and lines,metering,
transformers,PTs and CTs and metering transformers.Have knowledge of test equipment, read
schematic, one line drawings, write clearances to isolate line’s equipment clearance for
emergencies and repairs. I can properly update one-line drawings and maps and log in the
changes as needed.
I am skilled in turbine overhaul and worked successfully with power plant
drews. I rotated performance through the transformer shop, relay shop,test shop,and
maintenance shop before entering the system operator position.I also have knowledge of the
1251 sheet,scheduling power,sending and receiving power,cooling down generators, and start-
up generators, load-forecasting,and knowledge of the Black-Start Program.
As a dispatcher, I worked as trouble dispatch handling
emergency trouble calls, and Administrative duties such ( filing completed trouble orders by
address and numbers, and delivered mail to different department) mostly on night shift, and
trouble calls from customer service operators and customer complaints such as power, and gas
outages, and emergency calls related to storms, calls from fire and police departments,
SAWS,telephone companies, dig test locate department.I also located gas and underground
electric lines for various companies so they could make repairs, for safety. After the company
job was completed, I would dispatch proper crews and/or troubleman to complete the order. I
would dispatch gas or electric troubleman to cut services on, or off.
