Answer:
Majority of Americans have faster advancing into above 85 years old so that this program on
Americans living increasingly longer lives, but needing more expensive, intensive, and
prolonged care giving because majority of the old age people have been suffering from dementia,
Parkinson's and Alzheimer’s neurodegenerative diseases. These are highly debilitating
dysfunctional neurological disorders that mainly cause those disabled. Therefore, there are
several things needs to change in order to address their looming crisis as described below.
Yes, I have talked to my grandparents and parents about their preference for end-of-life long-
term care. Yes, I do prefer to put them if needed in a nursing care home to provide "emergency
care" as their memory levels and nootrophic levels are declined as the age is progressing above
80 years so that as described in the program "frontline", I do prefer to put parents or
grandparents in a nursing home. However, I would ask about their opinion in getting emergency
services of medication & based on the following needs due to "aging"
Emotional and psychological needs:
Aging care facility must enhance building self esteemed and confidence in the older people by
implementing various caring methods. Under abusive conditions also, care facility must boost
aged people by recognizing and responding to the impact of aging on emotional psychological
well being. It is very important to monitor them continuously.
RN (registered nurse) or even care facility manager should always perform his or her functions
such as care planning associated with giving intravenous injectables & medications according to
time on prescription. LVN or LPN (licensed practicing or vocational nurses) provides oral
medication associated total aged person care, personal hygiene by always providing emotional
support and care collect education based details from the patients.
The fundamental task, implemented by the nursing home or even aging care facility, is to assess
the older people emotional and psychological needs and finally act according to their emotional
and psychological needs. The initial assessment done as follows.
Assessing the individual emotional and cognitive function
Appearance, Behavioral attitude:
Older people evaluated based on his appearance and attitude associated with mood whether it is
elevating or normal or whether it is swinging at what level it is.
Assessing of old person consciousness and his/her orientation:
Older person ability to perceive with stimulus perception and sensation associated with
responses, such notified them as whether stuporous or comatose,. Assess whether he or she
possess any alertness, obtunded with the physical stimuli or not associated with his name, asking
date etc.
Assessing speech and language ability:
Loud or normal speech for the questions you are answering and assessing what sort of
articulation he or she has.
Assessing mood levels: Before implementing aging care it is important to assess exact mental
state and it very important to examine these mood levels whether they are swinging or elevated
in one direction or different direction to evaluate a particular psychological disorder psychotic or
not.
Assessing his memory and perception associated thought process:
Cognitive abilities must be examined associated memory levels, how he or she remembering and
identifying things based on the physical stimuli. Finally interviewing them is needed if they have
any abnormal memory or perception or suicidal tendency.
Judgment examination and Insight: It is important to ask aged people to answer for any problem
such either it is hypothetical or normal. Finally it is crucial assessing the patient capability to
understand individual illness.
Aging care personnel must apply psychological model approach in individual old person life to
lead their social life by minimizing losses and maximizing their gains for their normal period of
aging. Based on these, individuals are choosing their mates for their successful aging.
According to selective social interaction theory, individual are often possess higher selectivity
thoughts in selecting a partner who can satisfy their individual needs associated with emotional
features.
Selection is operating as the age is going on, at some point, individual choose to pick things on
which they are preferentially good thereby it is illustrated that successful choosing a partner as
one individual getting older where optimization is operating like how playing Piano as an
individual getting older but preferentially choosing a slower pieces to keep the things up. Finally
compensation is operating when there is loss of emotionally connected partner from an
individual as the aging is going.
It is better implement interpersonal psycho therapies, narrative therapy, live review therapy,
problem solving therapy, dementia care therapy, and Parkinson’s therapy. This therapy should in
accordance to individual needs.
Aging care facility in promoting good health:
Those individuals who are suffering from acute or chronic pain, aging care facilitators should
provide medication in time according to doctor’s prescription by providing emotional support to
the old people. Care facility must attain standards by looking at their pain response and providing
them with proper pain relief and to promote good health of older person. It is also important to
the aging care facility managers to assess factors influencing the older people food intake
(obesity and weight management): 1. An Inactive Lifestyle, lack of sleep, 2. Environmental
factors; 3. Genes and Family History; 4. Health Conditions, Emotional Factors, Smoking. Based
on all of these factors aging care facility must provide standard methods to provide them good
health with abusing them.
Aging care facility promoting cultural and spiritual preferences:
Every individual life has their own individual philosophy associated mythology, aging care
facility managers must ensure in demonstrating respect and acceptance of old person’s spiritual
beliefs. They are enhancing methods to take care of privacy of old person’s modesty and cultural
preferences. It is very crucial for aging care facility people that they enable promoting residents
in the aging care facility to participate in spiritual and cultural celebrations by proving
appropriate suitable information available to all the residents who are getting care inside the
aging care facility residence.
Implementing methods in which older residents experiencing loss or grief:
Implementing the methods associated with distress by identifying the appropriate relief methods
and by using appropriate, efficient communication skills to make them relaxed. It is also
important to make older people to allow in expressing their feelings, finally proving them with
relevant information associated with referral. Aging care facility must implement ideas
associated thoughts and emotions in order to assess old person perceptions such as feeling love,
anger, cold, grief, anxiety, and it is important to obtain data completely depending on senses
from the brain.

AnswerMajority of Americans have faster advancing into above 85 y.pdf

  • 1. Answer: Majority of Americans have faster advancing into above 85 years old so that this program on Americans living increasingly longer lives, but needing more expensive, intensive, and prolonged care giving because majority of the old age people have been suffering from dementia, Parkinson's and Alzheimer’s neurodegenerative diseases. These are highly debilitating dysfunctional neurological disorders that mainly cause those disabled. Therefore, there are several things needs to change in order to address their looming crisis as described below. Yes, I have talked to my grandparents and parents about their preference for end-of-life long- term care. Yes, I do prefer to put them if needed in a nursing care home to provide "emergency care" as their memory levels and nootrophic levels are declined as the age is progressing above 80 years so that as described in the program "frontline", I do prefer to put parents or grandparents in a nursing home. However, I would ask about their opinion in getting emergency services of medication & based on the following needs due to "aging" Emotional and psychological needs: Aging care facility must enhance building self esteemed and confidence in the older people by implementing various caring methods. Under abusive conditions also, care facility must boost aged people by recognizing and responding to the impact of aging on emotional psychological well being. It is very important to monitor them continuously. The fundamental task, implemented by the nursing home or even aging care facility, is to assess the older people emotional and psychological needs and finally act according to their emotional and psychological needs. The initial assessment done as follows. Assessing the individual emotional and cognitive function Appearance, Behavioral attitude: Older people evaluated based on his appearance and attitude associated with mood whether it is elevating or normal or whether it is swinging at what level it is. Assessing of old person consciousness and his/her orientation:
  • 2. Older person ability to perceive with stimulus perception and sensation associated with responses, such notified them as whether stuporous or comatose,. Assess whether he or she possess any alertness, obtunded with the physical stimuli or not associated with his name, asking date etc. Assessing speech and language ability: Loud or normal speech for the questions you are answering and assessing what sort of articulation he or she has. Assessing mood levels: Before implementing aging care it is important to assess exact mental state and it very important to examine these mood levels whether they are swinging or elevated in one direction or different direction to evaluate a particular psychological disorder psychotic or not. Assessing his memory and perception associated thought process: Cognitive abilities must be examined associated memory levels, how he or she remembering and identifying things based on the physical stimuli. Finally interviewing them is needed if they have any abnormal memory or perception or suicidal tendency. Judgment examination and Insight: It is important to ask aged people to answer for any problem such either it is hypothetical or normal. Finally it is crucial assessing the patient capability to understand individual illness. Aging care personnel must apply psychological model approach in individual old person life to lead their social life by minimizing losses and maximizing their gains for their normal period of aging. Finally compensation is operating when there is loss of emotionally connected partner from an individual as the aging is going.
