Mechanism of Action
Ferrous Ascorbate is a synthetic form of iron and vitamin C. It converts the ferric
form to ferrous form, making it absorbable from duodenum & upper jejunum, thus
enhancing the absorption of iron.
Folate is necessary for production & maintenance of new cells, for DNA
synthesis and RNA synthesis, important during frequent cell division and growth,
such as infancy and pregnancy.
