2. The Power of Three, a little nugget that I put out in the latest chapter of this OWBC. Now is the
time to explain about it. First off, my older readers probably know what this means already and
secondly, my new readers have no clue. So this chapter is a review of where this plot began. I
stated before that in my original Sims 2 trilogy of stories, it began with an OWBC; A Godly
OWBC. The fourth and final heir of that OWBC went on to become the founder of a legacy; The
Quest for Peace. The final heir of the legacy became the new goddess of peace after ten generations
of battle against the true bad guy of that legacy: Xylen Destriory. He was the embodiment of
Chaos and also an alien, on his home world, he was sealed away by the gods at a great cost, they
lost millions of people and the gods also had to send their only child to Earth to protect her from
Chaos. She returned 5000 years later after many reincarnations that cost her all of her memories
of who she was and tried to seal Chaos away again when it got loose, she failed. That led Chaos on
a collision course with Earth where the descendants of the Greek gods living in a place called
Hidden City put Chaos away again. Now for the final part of the trilogy, the Greek gods’
descendants did not consider the impact that the battle with Chaos would have on the world and
the angels of the Christian god saw how that turned out; Where Angels Fear to Tread, an
Apocalypse. Chaos’s influence was never truly defeated and that led the humans to annihilate one
another, Chaos also retained its hold on a refugee from Hidden City, Fricorith Tricou, who fled to
Angel’s Haven and brought Chaos back with help from Lucifer and his demons who wanted the
Apocalypse to stay just as it was. The six generation battle in the Apocalypse led to a collaboration
effort with Eirene, the new peace goddess and final heir of the legacy, Solan representing the Greek
gods and help from the founder Castiel, a descendant of the angels. A new Power of Three was
born and Chaos, along with Lucifer were banished to Purgatory…
4. Reias: We thought that was the end of it back then, but now we all feel something just like
that presence Xylen had coming back HERE and NOW. We don’t know where it’s coming
from or from whom, Xylen is still sealed away in Purgatory, our Archangel associate
Michael confirmed it. This is new so until we know what it is, or why it’s back we won’t
alarm anyone yet.
5. Rika: So THAT is why the four of you felt so strong when you first arrived in Moonlight
Falls, you’re all gods. I can’t say I really expected that, I don’t believe in any god or higher
being, I’ve always believed in myself and my own kind. And that’s why you’re hovering
around my family, you think my children are the next Power of Three? And that they’ll
have to face this new…evil or whatever it is, you sense?
6. Reias: It’s not just because of that, I am what they call a Triad Piece, the Triad of Rebirth. There
are three of us, Dalen is the Triad of Hope, and Batalia is the Triad of Salvation. She hasn’t been
seen since we put Chaos away back in Hidden City but there’s no doubt that she can feel it too.
I expect to see her soon. But in this new world, or dimension, or what have you, we don’t have
the same strength anymore as we did in Hidden City. If we did, Lucian and Orlando could not
have turned us into vampires. Will you let us meet your children?
7. Rika: I told him I would ask you. That’s why I called you four down here to the
Secret Place. Reias seems to think it will be you four who will become the new
Power of Three and face this evil that he says is coming. I am aware of the fact
that there are four of you here I wanted to let you all know at once so you can
discuss it.
8. Penelope: A great evil? Why would he think that we could do anything about it? We aren’t gods,
we’re just…us.
Oriole: I know, according to him, they had generations of power that went into creating this Triad of
Power thing and we are fourth generation kids. We can’t possibly be that strong after only four
generations right?
Nathan: I don’t really care, I mean it’s cool and all I’m a witch but I don’t want to fight evil. I just
want to be me. You three can do it.
9. Rika: Parker? You’re awfully quiet. What do you think?
Parker: Why us? What makes us so special? Why can’t we just be normal? I don’t want to fight evil. I
just want to go to college, get in some shit on campus, find a nice chick, or dude, not sure what way
I’ll swing yet. But the point is I want to FIND OUT all that.
Rika: I don’t want you to either, but I’m your mother, it’s my job to want to protect my babies.
10. Oriole: Why aren’t Owl and Owen here? Aren’t they part of this too?
Penelope: They don’t think there’s even a room down here, they just deny it. I guess it’s
because we’re all witches that they aren’t here with us talking about it.
Nathan: So now what? It’s obvious none of us want to do this, if it is even REAL of
course. We still don’t know these dudes, how do we know they aren’t lying?
11. Rika: A mother can tell if there’s a threat to her children, I didn’t get that from Reias and
the others. Now if they really ARE gods, that’s up for debate. I don’t believe in gods. I
wanted to ask you guys if you would meet them, publicly and your father, me and your
grandfather will all be there of course. Maybe at a Feast Party?
12. Parker: I’ll give them a chance to prove themselves to me, if I sense bullshit I’m out and they can just
go back to wherever the hell it was they came from. I don’t know about you three.
Oriole: I’ll give it a shot too.
Penelope: Sure, whatever.
Nathan: I don’t care, I’ll follow you guys because you’re the older ones.
13. Rika: Okay, so I’ll arrange the party and get them to come over. I am glad you
four have such open minds to this, we may find out that they are telling the
truth and I’d rather hope for that and be right, than to never give it a chance in
the first place and be wrong.
14. Oriole: Which one are you? Mom told us about your…thing.
Dalen: Did she now? Did she also tell you I’m the God of War?
Oriole: No…that part she left out. So you’re a triad piece or whatever right?
15. Dalen: If I had my old powers you’d wish you’d never talked to me so disrespectfully…but since I
don’t and can’t show you the error of your ways, yes I am. The Triad of Hope.
Oriole: You’re Hope? The God of WAR is hope? How does that work?
Dalen: From the horrors of War, comes the Hope for peace. That’s why Dee was the God of Peace to
my God of War, we’re twins. You’re a triplet, you should understand that better than most.
16. Penelope: Are you one of these Triad things?
Diamos: No. I was the God of Peace, Dalen my twin is though. I kept him balanced. I’m not
now, that job belongs to Eirene although I still kept my godhood.
Penelope: Why? How come he got that honour and you didn’t? You sound better suited to
being Hope than he is.
17. Diamos: Dalen wasn’t always this brash, that was our father’s doing. I was the one who was
the bad twin, if you think there is such a thing. We have Reias to thank for saving both our
souls. I got Peace and Dalen got War, it balanced the scales. You’re a twin so you know how
that works don’t you?
Penelope: Yes, I guess you can say I balance Parker out, don’t know how but apparently I do.
Parker has buttons that only I know how to fix when they’re pressed. That’s my job with him.
18. Parker: Where’s the other guy? The one with the blue hair? Wasn’t he supposed to come
here?
Solan: My father had to work so I came in his place. I’m Solan by the way. Nice to finally
meet you Parker.
19. Parker: Uh huh…
Solan: You’re very orange right now, are you nervous?
Parker: I’m what now? Orange? What does that even mean?
20. Solan: My power as a god is empathy; I see emotions as colours, like auras. Orange means
anxiety to me. I can tell when someone is lying too, they turn black, which means deception or
deviousness.
Parker: Is that what the Salvation Triad piece does?
Solan: I’m not a Triad Piece. I was born with this power from my father.
21. Parker: So where is this Salvation Triad piece then?
Solan: She’s…not here. Batalia never came with us when we came to this
world. But she will soon, Dalen and my father both say she will. And I hope I
can handle all the aura she’s going to have when she does get here…
22. Prentice: Rika…baby sis, who are these guys? And why have you never told me I had nieces and
nephews? Did you forget how to use a phone?
Rika: I got busy big bro, I’m sorry. And I figured you’d want to work things out with Anabelle. The
whole town is talking about you guys and your legendary fights.
Prentice: People need to keep their damn fool mouths shut…
23. Orlando: Are things alright at home son? You sounded a little upset with your sister back there.
Prentice: Dad, how did you deal with the fact that mom would die long before you? How do you cope
with that?
Orlando: I don’t. That’s why I went off on Waylon and Nina about my sisters. And let’s not even TALK
about Edmund, the bastard…
24. Prentice: Yeah that was…weird. I still don’t get how that happened. How the hell did he
manage to clone himself like that? And to live in the same town as Aunt Brianna? That’s
just wrong and with her too, everyone knows Zelda Mae is the town bicycle.
Orlando: Hence why I won’t talk about him. I’d kill him if he wasn’t already dead.
25. Orlando: He isn’t even allowed NEAR Bri’s grave. The only brother in law I LIKED was
Jayson, that’ s why he’s here with Phee. I think he still makes her happy. Mom and dad
sure are to have them all home again…
Prentice: Yeah…I wish I could come over more to see mom, I’m sorry about that.
26. Prentice: If you hate Waylon so much, why did you let his son Daryl come over here?
Orlando: I didn’t, that was your sister’s idea. Apparently he’s her boss…not sure how
the hell that works. She’s way higher up than he is and much better at her job than he
is. Dude’s been stuck on the fourth level for years now. Pathetic.
27. Prentice: I’ll have to ask Rika about that.
Orlando: I can’t really hate him too much, he’s Orchid’s son too. He has my mom’s hair
colour as well. I guess the gene skipped me and went to my sisters instead.
28. Prentice: Lucian’s been pretty off lately too, he’s acting insane according to Alexa. Ever
since he bit that dude with the blue hair, he’s been crazy.
Orlando: I don’t know, I didn’t get any weird vibes and I was the one who bit the guy in
red. I couldn’t help it you know? Maybe it’s the red colour…and he kind of pisses me off
for some reason.
29. Prentice: Yeah, speaking of him, who are these guys Rika invited? Do you know? They’ve
been very interested in my nieces and nephew…they aren’t like that…are they?
Orlando: Again, your sister trusts them and if they were like that I’d kill them. No
questions asked, justifiable homicide. No court would convict me.
30. Prentice: Parker thinks Luce is being funny, but I don’t know. Something’s up with big bro
and I’m scared that I’ve been out of touch with the family for far too long. When the hell
did we get so off course dad?
Orlando: We aren’t, I’m not going to let it. I’ll be damned if I let the family fall apart while
I’m still here. My dad would never forgive me if I lost the whole lineage now.
31. Oriole: So…how’s it going? *sweats*
Solan: Fine, I suppose. You seem to be just as orange as your brother is.
Oriole: Orange? I thought I was blue.
32. Solan: No, I see emotions as colours. Orange is anxiety…now you’re pink.
Oriole: Oh!! HAHA! I see, so you’re a witch too huh? Funny that, so am I?
Solan: Are you…embarrassed or…attracted to me?
Oriole: I umm, oh hey that’s the gate buzzer, must be those trick or treaters. I’ll be going to see to
that…now…bye.
33. Oriole: Thanks kid, you saved me from a major social meltdown in there.
Random Bunch Kid: Aww, I wanted one of those ghosts to give me the treat, you’re no
fun. Where’s the GHOSTS?!
Oriole: *eye twitch* Because you saved my social cred, I’ll let that go.
34. Random Bunch Kid: Make it a good one unless you want the old man Stalker-Ratzi there
to give you a bad look in all the papers and sites.
Oriole: *eye twitch intensifies* Just take this and go. Be gone creepy clown kid.
Random Bunch Kid: Thanks for nothing old hag! AHAHA!!
35. Oriole: Old…hag?! I’m gonna…arggh!! Put that camera away!
Random Bunch Kid: AHH!! The old hag is going to get me!! *runs away*
Oriole: What’s worse really? That bratty kid or telling that gorgeous guy in there things
without saying a word? Oh man…mom was right, those guys are unique for sure.
36. Parker: My grandpa used an elixer to become a vampire, did you use one too?
Dalen: Kid, your gramps is the one bit me. I don’t know if I should thank him for that or throttle him for
it. I LIKED being able to go out during the day.
Parker: That’s between you and him, so what’s your deal? Which Triad are you?
Dalen: Direct aren’t you kid? I like that. Annoying, but still shows initiative. I’m the Triad of Hope.
Parker: You don’t sound like the Hopeful type of guy. You’re a dick.
Dalen: Oh good one, never heard that before. From the horrors of War, comes the Hope for peace.
37. Parker: Mom said you weren’t able to come to her Feast Party, that Dalen dude
said you were a Triad piece too? Which one?
Reias: I had to work, something else in this world I never thought I’d have to
do. But yes, Dalen is right. I’m a Triad piece too, the Triad of Rebirth.
38. Parker: So you what, cause rain to fall and things grow green again after they died or
something?
Reias: Not exactly; how much do you know about the Triad of Power first off?
Parker: From War, comes the Hope for peace…that’s all Dalen told me about it. Is there more?
39. Reias: In Hidden City, my job is to run the Underworld, my parents are Hades and Persephone. Solan
can do the same things I can, he collects souls when they pass on and I am related to death so: From
Death, comes Rebirth. For every soul that departs, a new one is born. That’s how my Triad power works.
Parker: So reincarnation is rebirth in this instance. Okay, cool I get it now. So which one of us gets these
Triad powers?
Reias: I don’t know yet, until we determine the nature of this presence we’re feeling, we aren’t going to
subject you kids to our Triad powers.
40. Parker: Got one more question for you: Why us? Why are you so invested in this thing that somehow
we’re important as the Triad of Power?
Reias: Again, we don’t know. Fate works in mysterious ways, even in this world. The fact that there is
four of you is also mysterious, we needed a Wielder of the Triad to use our powers, but we don’t sense
that in this case. The Power of Three, keeps repeating even to us.
Parker: Aren’t gods supposed to know everything though? Omniscient beings and all that?
Reias: You would think so, but here it’s different for us.
41. Diamos: I’m glad you came, we didn’t get to talk at your party.
Rika: So why say swimwear when you have no pool? And it’s winter?
Diamos: No real reason…
Rika: Right…men. So what did you want to talk about?
42. Diamos: I wanted to talk about your kids, when they’re grown I was wondering if you
would let us train them, teach them about the Triad of Power and the history behind it.
We will still be working on the cause of the unease we feel but we’d like to be prepared
for it all the same.
Rika: That’s really up to them, right now I’d say no. But once they’re adults it’s their
choice.
43. Rika: I’d prefer them to be my babies forever, as a mother. Do you have kids?
Diamos: I—did. Not anymore though. I know what it’s like to be a parent and wanting to
keep your babies safe from the world. All of us have been, or are still parents so we know
what you’re going through.
44. Diamos: I wish I could give you iron clad assurances, straight answers, and logical
courses of action, but I can’t right now. I won’t say trust me, because trust is earned and
we were pretty evasive with you when you first met us as a child. I’m sorry about that.
Rika: Well yeah you were, but I was a child and could never have understood what you
were back then. But…even though you’re practically alien, I do trust you, it’s weird but I
do.
45. Rika: Give me your oath as a god: You will protect my babies, even if it costs you your
life, you will protect them until your dying breath and then I will feel more at ease in
letting you teach them.
Diamos: I give you my oath: as the former God of Peace, and as a father, I will protect
your babies, on pain of my death and destruction of my soul, they will be safe with us.
