The document summarizes details about the Kutai Kartanegara bridge in Indonesia. The 710-meter suspension bridge connected the cities of Tenggarong and Samarinda over the Mahakam river. It opened in 2001 but collapsed on November 26, 2011 while undergoing maintenance work, killing at least 20 people. The main reason for the collapse was a failure of one of the bridge's support cables that caused the other cables to quickly fail, bringing down the entire structure within 30 seconds.
