and directed personnel under my supervision in the Jail Accreditation process through the American Correctional
Asociationin 2005 and again in 2015. Communications Division Commander, Administration, Public Information
Officer, Social Media and Website content and consultant, Logistics, Fusion Center Liaison Officer, COPS Grant,
Byrne-JAG Grant and Homeland Security Grant Administrator for Region 3 ALDHS. Bid and purchase Homeland
Security equipment, manage existing Homeland Security Grants for Region 3; Bid general budget equipment and
supplies, and manage equipment for deployments on mutual aid request. I developed and maintained the Tuscaloosa
County Sheriff’s Office Social Media accounts and Website. In 2005, I developed the Community Oriented
Notification System, (CONES) where citizens could sign up for alerts based on where they lived. I Organized area
wide training and Homeland security exercises and Homeland Security Mutual Aid Response request. I served as
the Region C Law Enforcement Team Leader for Alabama Homeland Security. This team consisted of 500 plus
officers from a 10 county area. Responsible for implementation of $5,000,000.00 VHF Narrowband Radio System
and served on Alabama Interoperability Communications Task Force through ALDHS. Served on planning and
implementation committee for FLO (Fusion Center Liaison Officer. PCII and CVI Certified. Received four
department commendations and 2007 Officer of the Year.
