Along with duties normally associated with answering calls for service and routine police service
I served/held several specialty assignments including:
Police Explorer Post Supervisor. Supervising youth and young adults 14-21 who have an
interest in Law Enforcement. Police Explorers are trained in many of the same
School Resource Officer (SRO). I established program curriculum for Choosing Healthy
Alternatives and Methods Promoting Success (CHAMPS); a program for use in the
Sierra Sands Unified School District. An alternative to the DARE program when federal
funds were cut.
Coordinating and presenting at numerous public events educating the community on
topics ranging from work-place violence, counter terrorism, natural disasters and city-
wide emergency preparedness.
Police Dispatcher
Dispatch officers to calls for service. Answer business and 911 lines. Maintain/update
information in state and federal criminal databases.
2. PropertyRoom/Evidence Manager (Current Assignment)
Inventory and maintain control of all property and evidence seized by officers. Process
requests for evidence by the District Attorney’s office. Process evidence to and from
laboratory for testing. Purge property and evidence in accordance with state and Federal
Law. Ancillary duties include maintaining employee access to State and County court
and criminal databases.
