PipeView is a digital model
of a siteโs hydraulic structure
that shows the real-time
status of water allocation
from a water source to a
control point to a mainline
and finally to individual
zones.
12. 12
PipeView shows the allocation of water, in real-time, for single
controller configurations or for shared flow configurations involving
up to 20 controllers.
Each box represents a different component of the hydraulic
structure. Each box shows the description of the hydraulic
component and its status in real-time.
Hydraulic structure
Water Source: This is where the
water comes from that supplies the
system with water.
Control Point: This allows water into
the system and monitors the flow
and records the pressure. A control
point can include one or all of the
following: Pump, Master valve, Flow
sensor, Pressure sensor
Mainline: This distributes the water
across a site. A mainline can connect
to the following: a control point,
another mainline, or a zone
Zone: This is where water leaves the
system to supply a specific area on
the site with water.
13. 13
When a user clicks or touches a box in the hydraulic
structure, a slide-out screen will activate to display
content specific to that hydraulic component.
When a hydraulic component is selected, the box will
become highlighted so the user can easily reference which
component they have selected.
Water Source: This screen will display
messages, budget information, and general
information.
Control Point: This screen will display messages,
flow graphs for usage and rate, pressure graphs
for PSI, and general information.
Mainline: This screen will display messages and
general information.
Zone: This screen will display messages and
general information.
14. 14
New flow graph!
โข Flow will now be
represented using a
tachometer-style
graph.
โข The graph will adjust its
value according to how
the user has configured
their GPM values.
โข When the Control Point
is active, the graph will
show โHigh Flow.โ
When the Control Point
is not active, the graph
will show โUnscheduled
Flow.โ
15. 15
When the slide out screen is activated for a hydraulic component, users can access the settings specific to that
component. Users can view the settings for reference and they can edit the settings to refine the performance or
behavior that component.
16. 16
Key-selling points: Real-time digital model of a hydraulic structure, real-time color-coded statuses for quick
status updates, real-time display showing the allocation of water through the hydraulic structure, dynamic graphs

information such as the description,
MAC address, and IP address.
A single FlowStation will support up to
20 BaseStation 3200 controllers for
massive shared-flow configurations.
20. 20
The FlowStation hydraulic structure supports:
Water Sources = up to 20
Control Points = up to 20
Mainlines = up to 40
Users can make the following assignments:
Water Source > Control Point (up to 8)
Control Point > Mainline
Mainline > Mainline
Mainline > Control Point
This configuration architecture supports true sub-
metering for flow management and complex site
configurations.

Sub-mainlines can now be designed as Control Points
downstream of the Water Source. This facilitates better water
monitoring and management when pipe downsizing is utilized to
optimize system hydraulics.
Zones can now be connected to different mainlines but be
scheduled in the same program. The FlowStation knows which
Control Points to activate to provide water to the zones that are
operating in that program.

Users can select an individual component of the hydraulic structure to view and edit the
settings specific to that component.
23. 23
From the FlowStation app, users can review all controllers assigned to their FlowStation and
the real-time status of the hydraulic components shared with the FlowStation.
24. 24
Users can create a Control Point Group to leverage flow optimization features. A Control Point Group informs the
FlowStation that multiple control points are associated with one another. When a downstream zone requests water from
a Control Point Group, the FlowStation will note the GPM requirements of the zone and then activate the smallest control
point in the group. This ensures optimal flow resolution for flow monitoring and reporting.
25. 25

FAQs
โข Will www.basemanager.net go away?
โข Nope! Not in the immediate future. To help mitigate a jarring experience, we will continue to support
both URLs so users can transition over to AppManager at their own pace.
โข AppManager doesnโt have a dashboard or anything, why?
โข Itโs coming this fall! To help inform how to construct the dashboard, in terms of content and code
architecture, we had to create a few Apps first.
โข How much does PipeView cost?
โข Nothingโฆitโs included with the BaseManager subscription. We are researching an effective price
increase that, if warranted, will be implemented Jan. 1, 2019.
โข Will my BaseStation 1000 show up in PipeView?
โข Not at this time. Because it uses a different flow architecture, PipeView will not generate a digital
hydraulic model for BL-1000 users.
32. 32
FAQs
โข Will the ControlPoint-PFS work with the BaseStation 1000?
โข Again, no. Because the BL-1000 cannot read pressure, it cannot support the ControlPoint-PFS.
โข How does AppManager get its data? Is it different than BaseManager?
โข It works just the same as BaseManager. All data from our controllers go to the Baseline Server. We
always called it the BaseManager server because that was the only product it really supported. So
data from the controllers go to the Baseline Server and then AppManager, BaseManager, PipeView,
and the FlowStation app pull whatever information they need from the server.
โข Will PipeView work with BaseStation 3200 controllers that have old firmware?
โข Nope. All of the new products, PipeView, FlowStation app, and ControlPoints will require users to
have BaseStation 3200 controllers updated with 16.1 firmware or higher (16.3 is highly
recommended.)
โข If a user does not have a FlowStation will they still see the FlowStation app?
โข Noโฆthe FlowStation app will appear only when a user has subscribed and paid for the app.
33. 33
FAQs
โข Do 3200โs still require the shared-flow biCoder to work with the FlowStation.
โข Nopeโฆit will all connect and communicate without the need for the biCoder.
โข Can the FlowStation do manual zone operations without turning off other zones?
โข Yesโฆthis has been updated! The FlowStation will allow zones that are watering to continue to water
even when a manual operation is requested.
โข When will the V16.3 code be available?
โข We will publish the V16.3 code to the website Tuesday, Aug. 7 along with the other content. We will
include a note in all out-bound communications that the updated code is available.
โข If I change my AppManager password does my BaseManager password also change?
โข Yesโฆthe server will recognize your username for both applications and reference the same password
for both.
