Andrey Khodykin's name is well-known in fuel and energy circles. Having worked his way up from a simple engineer to a well-known expert in the energy industry, Andrey Khodykin not only headed departments at major energy companies in our country but was also a member of the expert group to build a unique project - the introduction of a high-temperature superconducting DC cable line (HTSCL). Today Andrey Khodykin is often invited to industry conferences and seminars; he gives lectures for future power engineers at the country's leading fuel and energy university, reviews scientific articles, and acts as a speaker at industry forums.
While working on the WTSP CL project, Khodykin visited the United States to exchange experiences with foreign colleagues. Sustainable energy production manager Andrey Khodykin got acquainted with the famous American cable lines LIPA and Hydra, which at the time were among the most significant projects to study, as LIPA had the longest line in the world - 640 meters. And energy expert Andrey Khodykin studied energy safety and energy management in companies and, upon his return to our country, decided to adapt international standards, ISO 50001, for the local market. After several years of work, Khodykin published his manual, which helps Russian power engineers apply international standards.
