of the first Africans to land in Colonial America at Point Comfort, today's Fort
Monroe in Hampton, Virginia, in August 1619.
It was the latter part of August 1619 when the first ship bringing enslaved
Africans to English North America came ashore at Point Comfort in Hampton.
These first Africans to arrive in would lead to the beginning of the institution of
slavery in America
Why is it important where the first Africans landed? History should be an
accurate account of facts. History is not a fictional fairy tale, epic movie, or
special interest group’s distortion of facts to promote tourism. Ask those
immigrants who landed at Ellis Island or Plymouth Rock if it’s important. The
first Africans who landed at Point Comfort were not immigrants, but their
landing was one of the most significant events in our country’s history.
“The transatlantic slave trade, just like the systematic elimination of the Native
American Indian in the United States and the Holocaust in Germany, is a
human tragedy that changed the world. We cannot change history or the
impact that it had on past generations, but we should always recognize and
learn from the perils and transgressions of people's inhumanity toward one

Caring For Climate Campaign 2015-2020 as a demonstration model for
Sustainable Development Goals # 17.16 and 17.17: Multi-Stakeholder

17.16 Enhance the global partnership for sustainable development,
complemented by multi-stakeholder partnerships that mobilize and share
knowledge, expertise, technology and financial resources, to support the
achievement of the sustainable development goals in all countries, in particular
developing countries, underserved communities and people with unmet needs

17.17 – Encourage and promote effective public, public-private and civil
society partnerships, building on the experience and resourcing strategies of
partnerships
We are recruiting and growing a strategic alliance to identify and register
4,000+ civil society stakeholders (ngos, nonprofits, business associations,
labor organizations, academic institutions and cities) and 1,000 new small
and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to the United Nations Global Compact
to build a Caring 4 Climate worldwide community resiliency network during
this International Decade for Peoples of African Descent and Decade of
Sustainable Energy for All.
Achieving that milestone and momentum thereafter would also give a voice
to The Unheard Voices (TUV) in developing countries and in marginalized
communities worldwide in support of the Sustainable Development Agenda to
“Leave No One Behind.”
