Barriers To Communication
Andrew Benstead
Background Noise
• Background noise can come from anything
such as people, music etc. these sorts of
things can make people easily distracted and
then they wont be able to pay attention to
what they are doing. In order to avoid this the
person should move somewhere where they
wont be able to hear any background noise so
they can get on with what ever they are doing.
Distractions
• Some people can be easily distracted for
example when the person is trying to listen to
someone if they are playing on their phones
or on the computer anything the person says
will go in one ear and out the other and they
will not be able to remember anything the
person has said to them. In order to avoid
these distractions the person should make
sure they don’t mess about and they
concentrate when people are talking to them.
Lack of Concentration
• Everyone’s concentration levels are different
some people have a very high level of
concentration while others have a low level so
therefor they must make sure their intake of
information is at there right level otherwise
they will find themselves not concentration
and not understanding what is going on.
People who lack concentration will have poor
listening skills so you have to make sure they
understand what you are saying to them.
