5 tips on what I learned regarding Communication. I give some insight on tactics, details on basic methods of the transaction process and some skills I picked up over the years.
2. Tip. 1
• The biggest Cliché of them all, confidence.
• Find your confidence by finding yourself.
• What your natural state is. Than embrace
that.
• Natural state has roots in your childhood.
Start there and see what connects to you
now. Focus on what you can do to repair the
part of you that flows through the world
3. Tip. 2
• Learn Human communication methods.
• People communicate in many ways, even a
Deaf person can hear you understand the
method in which you need to speak.
• Body language- You can get hints on a
persons state of mind just by their body
language. Arms closed can mean cold or
protected. Staring into space can mean lost
in thought or distracted by the view. Tons of
meaning that gives hints, but you will never
know for certain. Tread lightly, but some
information is better than no information.
4. Tip. 2
• Verbal- Usage of the voice means more than
what's actually said. Saying things of
meaning, that are personalized to the
audience, has more weight than a million
words a minute as loud as you can.
• Listening/Ears- Believe it or not, actively
listening can be your best friend and others
ease dropping can be your worst nightmare.
Communication is transactional, a multiway
highway between receivers and senders.
Someone can receive a wrong message by
someone else and you can get in trouble. So
understanding your environment is
important.
5. Tip. 2
• Assistive Technology- People with Mental
Health challenges, like Autism may need
specialized Tablets to help speak for them.
Braile is a type of text that the Blind use to
feel out words so they can read. Sign
Language is for people that are deaf. Sign
language can be used for People impacted
by severe Challenges such as Autism or IDD
or Intellectual Developmental Disorder. This
can provide simple instruction rather than
complex language.
6. Tip. 3
• Find Your audience
• Everyone has a "weak spot" when it comes
to communication.
• The goal is to be happy and bring happiness.
People will test you, you will test you.
Provide something that people may need in
their current situation. It's usually a smile or
a Hello, even a compliment.
• Women expect a follow up to a compliment
and men may get freaked out. The point is
for them to hear it, NOT for you to get
something out of it.
7. Tip. 4
• Open your mind to the possibilities
• Many cultures provide many opportunities
to enhance your communication abilities.
• Living in predominantly white areas, I
learned the importance of falling in line.
Living in Diverse areas, the importance of
patience and racial harmony. Black
communities, Respect your elders and
respect yourself.
• There is never a generalized way of
communication. Communicate with people,
as people. Learn from them, adapt, improve
over time as you assimilate, become 1, not
many.
8. Tip. 5
• The final tip, be aware.
• It's so easy to get wrapped up in the
moment, the feel goods and the feel bads.
You forget your with a person.
• Before you act, put a loved one in their
position? Would you beat the crap out of a
loved one because they took your parking
spot? Or would you calmly talk with them
about options on dealing with the damage?
If you chose option A? Than you might want
to reevaluate your thinking, values and
ethics. No one wants to be around a violent
person.
