2. Decisions are mainly about selecting from a
variety of available options. There are two types
of decision making skills, known as involuntary
vs. voluntary.
3. Involuntary decisions are our daily choices that
we do not even think about. It occurs when
people react to the incoming stimulus without
mentally processing the message.
5. There is no correct way or wrong way for an
individual to make a decision. Each of us are
unique in our own way and have our own style of
decision making.
6. There are four basic behavior categories:
1) Driver: individuals whose overall behavior gives the
individual infront that they know what they want
and what they are ding in life. These people do
not care to please individuals, which is why they
appear cool and independent.
7. Expressive:
These individuals appear approachable, very
communicative, and warm. They tend to focus on
the future and have very little concern for the
practical details in the present.
8. Amiable:
These people appear to place a very high priority
on cooperative behavior and friendships. These
individuals interpret the world on a personal
basis and they tend to get involved in feelings
and relationships between people.
9. Analytical:
These people love there lives according to facts,
logic, consistency, and principles. They are very
cautious when it comes to extending friendship
or showing personal warmth.
10. Decision Making Styles:
If your work style is drive then your decision
making style is considered a bull
If your work style is expressive then your
decision making style is considered eagle
If your work style is analytical then your decision
making style is bloodhound
If your work style is amiable then your decision
making style is a bee.
