Why Go To High School Essay
The reason why I want to attend Cass Technical High School is because I want to be challenged to
my full academic ability. I've always wanted to go to Cass since I was a little boy in elementary.
When I was in 8th grade, I truly wasn't challenged by the work I had, so my mother told me that I
would get challenged at a school like Cass. I don't believe that I have been challenged at the school I
go to now. I believe I can do better at your school because I will always have enough work in my
classes and never will get bored when I'm finished. I put my homework as a priority before other
things when I get home. I have always been an all "A" student since I was a little kid. I want to go
to Cass so I can achieve my full

My academic interests throughout the years have really changed and evolved as I have matured
as a student. Since I started school, I've always had an appreciation for academics and the various
subjects that I learned. I would attribute this to the fact that I was able to work with and learn
from students, teachers or friends that were passionate about a particular subject, helping me
understand a subject's value even if it did not particularly interest me. By having this exposure
during my formative years where I learned to think independently, I came to cherish my own
education in addition to realizing the importance and value education can hold for others. As I
grew older and began to think for myself, I developed an affinity towards math and science. I
would attribute this to the fact that my mind is more analytical than creative, leading me to find
interest in areas of study that progress logically and introduce concepts that can be built on top of
each other. Once I got to high school, the science classes that I took started to utilize concepts from
mathematics and vice versa. I was particularly interested when concepts and ideas stemming from a
variety of fields were put together in order to accomplish something practical. I began to seek out
articles and videos online to further develop my knowledge of technology and scientific phenomena.
At the end of my junior year, I was motivated to seek out and apply for various research
opportunities that involved working

My High School Year Essay
There was a point in my time where I enjoyed school and took pleasure in attending school and that
was elementary. Those were the best school years of my life, having nothing to care about, the
school lunch was unbelievably amazing and we had recess. Middle school was manageable but was
also beginning to become tough because the classes were becoming difficult. As we approach the
beginning of our high school career, parents and teachers always tell us students that it's the best
four years of our life, which in my case I did not find high school fascinating or enjoyable. I found
high school to be very stressful, overwhelming and not easy, understanding that the next four
years of my life will be filled with obstacles and challenges that I will face. I knew that I would
have challenges with my courses, but I did not think I would have trouble with my emotions such
as feeling depressed, sad, or that I would cry every other day, but to some teachers or parents
thought it was normal for teenagers because we are going through different phases of our life. My
freshman year was probably the best year of my high school year but I did face many challenges. I
was immature, did not obey my teachers, always getting in some sort of trouble. I was carefree, fun,
outgoing and had decent memories whether they were good memories or bad memories. Towards
the middle of my freshman year I found out that I had Hyperthyroidism, and was quite confused and
did not understand what it meant. As I

Why I Chose High School Essay
After graduating from Conroe High School, I want to attend to Lone Star College Montgomery
simply because it's closer to where I live, and because it's more affordable than any other state
institution. I really don't feel like going to another college that is far away from home, because that
would mean that I would have to stay in campus which is more expensive. I want to go to Lone
Star for two years to complete my basics.
The cost per semester at LSC is $800, so the total cost per two years at LSC is $3,200. It would've
probably been more affordable if I had taken Dual Credit classes in high school to earn college credit
and to accelerate my college completion, but I wanted to make my high school life easier by taking
level classes. To say the least, I was too much of a coward to challenge myself. Lone Star is perfect
for me because most of my friends will attend there. If I need help with any of my school work in
college, it'll be easier to reach my friends. Whereas, if we went to different colleges, we would
have to drive really far just to see each other. Also, if I my car ever breaks down and I'm left
without a ride to college, then I know that I can count on my friends for a lift. As gratitude for their
help, my friends know that...show more content...
It is a fraction of the cost of a four year university. For instance, former high school graduates that
are going to TX A&M have to pay about $4,575 per semester. The University of Texas beats A&M
with $98. While in Lone Star College you only have to pay about $800 per semester. What a
tremendous difference! I am aware that if I went to Lone Star and I'm competing with someone that
went to one of those famous and expensive state institutions, then I know that I most likely won't
get chosen by whichever job I was applying for, but that won't make me regret having chosen LSC.
I'm glad that I chose to attend to Lone Star College

When Has High School Taught Me Essay
In school, I learned many ways the world has been changing, the people and the environment.
Something that I like about the schools I went to, gives the students a good environment to work and
learn in. The teachers gave all the students a chance to learn what they had to teach us. School has
given me the education to get me where I am now, high school. My schools have given helped teach
me a life lesson on how the world can give me a hard time or go on smoothly, but most importantly,
school has taught me to follow my dreams and never give up on what I think is right.
As school has given me a good place to study in, I like the places that are clean and safe rather
than messy and unsafe. Even if my middle school was a bit treacherous, I tried my best to ignore
it all and work hard by thinking about how I wanted to end up, to live in the same house with my
parents for the rest of my life, or to go...show more content...
After each year of school, my teachers got better at teaching. I think it was because that they were
given the talent to know what each student understands and what the students don't understand.
Over the years of going to school, I hear students saying,"I want to have a "fun" teacher for this
period." The thing about most "fun" teachers is that they don't really teach a lot and they
concentrate on having fun with the students although I know that not all "fun" teachers are bad at
teaching. I would much rather have a smart teacher who has experience on actually teaching the
kids because school isn't a time to have fun, it's a time to learn what you don't know and
understanding what you already know even better. I know that the teachers give every kid to learn,
but it is the student's decision if they want to go to school for the actual purpose of going to school,
or go to school just to mess around with

High School Hardships
High school is full of many twists and turns and no one knows exactly what's going to happen in
high school. There can be many things that can help to have a simple high school life but there is
also things that can make it harder. I am going to be talking about three of my hardships I have
faced during high school. Well for starters throughout all of high school I have procrastinated and
put everything off till last minute and sometimes not even do it. I would sit there knowing I have
some huge project that needs done the next day and instead of doing it I would think of some
way to try to get out of it or distract myself. I would distract myself by playing video games, go on a
walk, sometimes just take a nap, or by talking to a friend...show more content...
I did not always go to Derby High I went to Little River Junior Senior High School from 6th grade to
11th grade. The reason why I moved here is from my own stupidity that involved the person
previously mentioned. I felt like I wouldn't get along with anyone here in derby so I tried to not
speak to anyone and try to just disappear. Luckily that did not last long cause my second day of
school here I met amazing people who I got along with and they helped me alot with my struggles.
Even though I had those amazing friends I still did not feel like I belonged here. I felt as if I was not
needed so I tried to get back to doing school work but it didn't work because I was so used to not
doing it and I did not know what we were doing because I stopped paying attention. I finally got
back into the swing of things and I tried to get my grades back up. I was mostly successful. I have
gotten better at doing my work, I found out she wasn't right for me, and I know I belong here. I am
glad I was able to get over most all those trials but this is just the beginning. Honestly I have no idea
of what I want to do after I leave high school job wise. I kinda want to go to college, work with
computers, get married and have kids. I know those are things that will not happen until a long time
from now but I can't wait to see what's next on this crazy train of

Milestone 3: Motivation For High School Students
With so many of life many failure attempts to succeed in life, we see those individuals that have
dropped out of school and feel that their life now seems meaningless. Their determination or will
power wasn't strong, and they had no one to push them forward to want to be a better person or
succeed in life. Some students today feel that all they have to do is just attend school just because
of their parents' wishes for them to receive a diploma. Some feel that classes are boring and
frustrating and a waste of time and energy. Why do students of today feel this way?...show more

Now how can you learn if you're not interested? This is when the teacher should consider providing
fun and games, praise, and love within the classrooms, making the classroom exciting and more
interesting.
Before entering the classrooms, teachers should sit and study each individual student and learn their
likes and dislikes. They should know what particular student need help in what particular subject.
Some students need more help in other subjects than other students. This is when teachers should
consider making their lesson plans focusing on subject matters that are current and relevant to high
school students, implementing cooperative learning strategies with their lesson plans while students
show off their talents. If students are demonstrating what they have learned in a skit, they tend to
learn more positively. When providing fun and game within the classrooms, the students are
excited about attending class because they already know something very eventful is going to take
place in that particular class. Not only are they learning they are having fun while doing so. They
are able to act out some of their personal talents, giving others a sense of who they really are, and
what some of their greater skills may be. As acknowledge in the article "How to Motivate High
School Students," "By allowing students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in a way
that appeals to their strengths, you're giving them a chance

I plan on Graduating, and obtaining my high school diploma On June 2018, I plan on
accomplishing my goals by by attending college. After High School I wish to attend Cal State San
Bernardino or Cal State San Marcos and enter into their Athletics Program. To get accepted to these
colleges I will maintain my grades and do whatever it takes to get into these colleges. Throughout my
journey in High School I have taken numerous honors and Ap classes. I have also been in
Extra–Curricular activities such as Cross–Country, Soccer and Track and Field. I have also been in

working a part–time Job, and seeking other resources that can help me accomplish my dream such
as this one. First I would received my Bachelor's degree and then aim for the higher goal which is
to receive my Masters degree and become a certified trainer. After finishing my work incollege I
plan on looking for a job at other colleges, Universities or working with professional athletes with
Professional teams. As a small child I always dreamed of attending college because I wanted to
help my family live a better life financially. I had a really rough childhood because we struggled to
make ends meet living under one provider. I have three brothers and two sisters; so we all add up
to 8 including my parents and I. However, my parents did everything they could to make us happy
and have a childhood no matter what our situation was. Attending college is my main Goal in life
because my Mother was not able to receive her high school diploma and my father received his
High School Diploma but, did not end up finishing college. Both of my parents have had a Huge
impact on my life because they gave me advice; for example"Study so you won't have to go through

Reflection In High School Writing
The challenging component this semester, was the transitioning part from high school level
english and writing to college level. High school writing did not have many expectations, its main
focus was on the ideal five paragraph essays. As compared to college, writing is mainly geared
and focused on one's ability to thoroughly answer the prompt. However, I quickly adjusted to the
change. In English 10, I have learned many valuable elements that I can incorporate in my
everyday writing. I have chosen to include my writing from project 1 "Why English 10" and
project 2 a rhetorical analysis on, "Black Lives Matter. These works effectively demonstrates my
growth as a writer. After my completing of my initial draft for "Black Lives Matter", I have
learned that rhetorically analyzing means just more than describing the purpose of the author's
work. Rhetorically analyzing is more focused on trying to identify the claims and their impacts
on the reader. There are many more elements that goes behind a rhetorical analysis. For example,
a effective analysis may include and discuss rhetorical appeals such as ethos, pathos, logos, tone,
and diction and their use. The uses of rhetorical appeals has a huge impact in writing and in
persuading the audience. Learning these elements helped me to critically analyze works and quit
focusing on the general information I read but to explore the meaning and purpose of what I read
in depth meaning. Before when I read I just incorporated the surface meaning and basically
summarized what I read. Analyzing has helped me to think outside of the box creatively. A
progress that I do see evident when comparing my old works and drafts to my new drafts is the
ability to effectively inserting quotes from valuable sources into my writing. The "They say" and
"I say" method from the The Insiders guide to Academic Writing helped me a lot when I am
trying to validate my reasoning to why I have included a quote in my work. Before as evident in
project 1 "Why English 10", I just explained the "I say". I would often not include the "They say". I
now am knowledgeable that quoting helps me add support and to strengthen my claims when I
follow the "They say, I say" method. I have also noticed that the

Essay on Attending High School
High School
Do you remember your high school days? High school
for me has proved to be a learning experience and also a
challenge. There are many lessons that can be learned.
You can learn more about yourself, who your friends are,
what kind of help is offered to you, and what your
strengths and your weaknesses are. Attending
High School helped build my confidence because my
classmates were supportive, my teachers taught me how to
study for tests, and the math tutors helped me overcome
my fear of math.
My classmates were supportive in many ways. I used
to attend study groups for the subjects that I was
struggling in. In these meetings with each other,we
would study our notes and review...show more content...
Most students would wait until the last
minute to study and try to cram all the information on a
test in one night. But my teachers stressed that studying
a little bit at a time would be the best way to go about
learning the material. Another way they tried to provoke
studying would be by telling us to study in a group.
This method worked, but the method that I found that
helped me the most was by using flash cards. It was a
good way of studying especially for a test that had lots
of definitions on it. But I found it much easier to look at
a single piece of information instead of a whole page of
notes at one time. Overall, teachers do not just teach you
the facts from the books. They can help you sharpen your
study skills by showing you new ways of learning.
Lastly, the tutors at the school helped me to overcome my
biggest fear and that was math. They helped me realize
that if you take math one step at a time, it will be a
lot easier than trying to learn it all at once. The
tutors also made it easier for me by teaching me to
relate math to something I enjoy. A simple example would be
if you were having problems with percents. And they would
tell you to relate it to something like when you go shopping
and clothes have a certain discount. It carries the same
principle. And this method can help you overcome a fear

High School Reflection Essay
When working at Wade King in Mr. Denton's fourth grade classroom, I found that the students were
very excited to have Nicole and me as guest teachers for their math hour. I had never worked with
fourth grade students before, so their warm and inviting attitudes help calm my nerves. The lessons
went well and I was surprised by some of the students' connections that they had made throughout our
lessons. For example, there were several students that would bring up things that we hadn't talked
about yet, but we were going to at the end of the lesson. Like the connection that certain fractions
were larger than other fractions and this connection tied into the end of the lesson where we would
place fractions on a number line by smallest to largest. It was so exciting to see students making
these connections on their own and understanding the content that was being taught. I also felt like
I was able to support the students very well when they had questions or difficulty with the lesson. I
must admit, I was intimidated by the new fancy school and the fact that the students knew Chinese!
Also, never having worked with fourth graders before, I didn't know what to expect or if I was
truly prepared. Then we began teaching and the students had questions that I could confidently
answer! Everything that I had learned paid off and it was such a good feeling to be able to support
students learning. Something else that went well was teaching to Bridges. Bridges is so easy to
follow and the

My Life In High School Essay
Any senior right now will honestly ask themselves how they could have possibly made it this far
knowing how stressful high school can be. To finally come to this point in my life it feels
amazing. Many seniors have their own way of making it to this place in time. I will give the reader
my advice and thoughts on how to make the most of your life in high school.
The first thing anyone will tell you to do in high school is to simply be involved. There are many
ways to be involved with high school, the only problem with being involved is choosing the right
activity or club for you. My advice for anyone who wants to be in a club or a sport is to give each
club or sport a try. It doesn't matter if its FFA or Basketball, just tryout anything their possibly is
and you possibly might like doing whatever it is you're doing to be involved with your school, trust
me I'm telling you from experience.
When it comes to assignments you either succeed or you fail. If you're like me, you have most
likely mastered failure unfortunately. In reality is failure a bad thing? In certain cases failure is
not so bad. Failing can be frustrating but when you fail at whatever you are doing you can easily
learn from that failure and correct yourself and next thing you know you're passing that class you
were just failing. Now success is a different story. Success is probably one of the most rewarding
feeling there is, especially when you pull an all nighter on that composition you forgot to do last
week

First Year In High School Essay
It was the first day of senior year, which also meant the last time I will wake up after the summer
break to High School. A million thoughts went racing through my head; what should I wear?
What will my classes be like? Is there anyone of my classmates that haven't changed since I last
saw them? All of these questions were going back and forth all morning long. After I finally
relaxed and decided to get ready, I felt an overwhelming presence of nervousness wash over me. The
thought finally struck me like a lightning bolt that I am a senior in high school. I didn't know what I
was going to do. This was it, my last year of being able to enjoy childhood before I went off and
had to be an adult. I decided to take a deep breath and just thank God for helping me get this far in
life and give this year to Him. As I walked out of the front door, the nervous feelings went away
and the next thing I knew was that my soul was full of excitement. I wasn't worried about this being

have to rush through my lunch and hurry out the door. The college classes that I had signed up

Why I Want To Attend High School?
When I was in middle school, I truly didn't care for school. I just thought it was a mandatory part
of the everyday adolescent child. I came to school each day dreading the fact that I have to sit for
hours and listen to lectures that I thought to myself that I don't need in the future. It was the
beginning of the second semester in eighth grade, I was called in by my advisor. She told me that if
I don't improve my grades, I would have to repeat a grade, and I would have to wait two years until I
enter high school. This unnerving fact stopped me in my tracks, and I remember the cold feeling
that suddenly surged through my body. There was a possibility that I could fail and repeat a grade.
And so I thought to myself, is this really how I want to continue my life? Is...show more content...
I studied day and night, I took initiative by asking my teachers questions every time I was confused,
and I actually started to enjoy the lectures my teachers were giving me because I actually started to
listen to what they are saying. By the end of the school year, my grades were relatively impressive,
from almost failing, to practically succeeding.
I entered high school, and I made it a personal promise and goal to absolutely succeed and push
my limits. So far, I have succeeded with this goal. From the beginning of my freshman year, I
made sure I took the maximum amount of classes, and I finished each course with an A. I took
advantage of an internship program at my school, where I shadowed one of the science teachers at
my school. Throughout my Sophomore year, I continued this. I finished each course with an A,
except for Biology, for which I finished it with a B. I am now in my senior year, and I continue to be
successful with all of my classes.
I deeply care about my grades, and I go through a great extent to make sure I finish each course with
exemplary results, but I cannot not get good grades if I am not motivated by

Four Years High School Essay
How have I changed/ Grown as a learner over my four years in high school?
I think I have changed a lot over my four years High School. I thought of a lot of different things in

and Adaptability was kind of easy for me when I first started High School for me. I knew a lot of
High School things when I went in to it because of my older brother that was in High School for

Productivity and Accountability is the next one I'm going to talk about. Like on setting goals
and accomplishing them in school and other things. Like making school goals on turning my
homework or work in on it putting high standards. Maybe like getting straight A's in school or
like passing with honors maybe. Leadership and Responsibility like helping people reach their
goals in school. Like with my little brother I'm helping him with his goals in school. Helping him
to pass his classes and to pass with good grades. Helping other friends with stuff maybe like
helping with turning their homework in or helping them with just class work or other stuff they
need help with. Back to Productivity and Accountability to being Punctual and reliable. On
having a job you need to be able to be on time and responsible to the work and other people.
Because if your not you can lose your job and trust on things to people. So if you say that you can
be at work be there on time and not late or just don't show up. Be responsible to work and your

My Year Of High School Essay
Back in my freshmen year of high school, I cringed at the thought of writing essays. I could not
convey my thoughts through my writing efficiently. After sophomore year, I became a bit more
confident about my writing. It was not until junior year, however, that my writing drastically
improved. IB English 11 enhanced quite a few of my weaknesses and molded me into an
analytical thinker. Nevertheless, the process of becoming a capable writer was rigorous. One of
my biggest challenges as a writer: time management. Though I can write under pressure, I cannot
produce my best work under pressure; time is necessary to compose an excellent paper. I often
procrastinated working on essays and watched TV shows or movies instead. Now, I tell myself I can
only watch the next episode of Jane the Virgin after I complete my work. This technique assisted me
in complete my work more proficiently and also eliminated the stress I would have gone through if I
had worked last minute. Though I have developed better time management skills over the years, I
attempt to improve them further constantly. Besides time management, I have always struggled with
beginning and concluding essays. I find generating hooks that catch an audience's attention quite
difficult. Along with hooks, writing a conclusion that provides the reader satisfaction after reading
my essay is also challenging. However, I learned a writing technique that helped me overcome this
struggle: write the body paragraphs and

My Future Plans For High School
In a few months, I will make a huge decision that will help determine my future.
I have many plans for high school; such as what classes I will take and what clubs I will join. But
first I Have to take the entrance exams
I have been studying for the high school entrance exams since the beginning of summer. My mom
bought me three big texts books that will help with the High School Placement Test, Independent
School Entrance Exam, and Secondary School Admission Test. Recently I have started going to a
tutor that specializes in preparing students for the exams.
I am applying for schools. My first one is Charter School of Wilmington. It is my first choice
because it is two minutes from my house, so I would ride my bike. Also, it specializes in science
which is my favorite subject, they are attached to an art school, which I also like to do, they have
a good tennis team, and it is free. Archmere is my second choice. I like it there because it has a
large campus that has buildings that are spread out like a college. Tower Hill is my third choice
because it is next to my neighborhood. Also Tower Hill doesn't specialize in a specific subject it is
an all–around school with art, music, math, science, and many more subjects. Friends is my fourth
choice. I don't know much about Friends but i've heard it's a good school and will prepare for
college. Padua is my backup school in case I don't get accepted into any other school. I am
interested in Padu because I have only heard

Why I Want To Go To High School Essay
I have been thinking about high school since was young. I thought it was so far away and now I
am ready to graduate middle school and go to high school. This got me thinking about college. I
realize that I need to find a high school that will help me succeed and reach my goal of going to
college. I need a program that will help me find new things that will interest me. As an 8th grader
getting ready to go into high school I was looking at applications and, I came across Lake View High
School and I was intrigued. As I read on I was satisfied with what I read because I know that this
program will help me succeed in high school and college. Knowing that, I really want to be a part
of this school. Lake View is a HOME, which represents the four core values of: Honor, Ownership,
Mastery, and Education. At Lake View I will be contributing to these core values, but the one that I
will be concentrating on is Education. Education is something that I need before anything, before
college, before high school. Education has me thinking about what I want to be when I grow up,
what kind of professional. When someone asks me "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I

Abolish High School Essay
Education is always a controversial topic. Especially that topic is about high school to educate.
Rebecca solnit emphasizes that high school has a inaccurate system to educate, it identity students
that who they are in the rest of life, people should escape from it. Also high school like a jail, you
have to conform or take the punishment. However, I disagree with her, because I believe high school

rebecca solnit statement that high school like a jail, you have to conform or take the punishment. In
the text, she writes that "high school in America is too often a place where one learns to conform or
take punishment–––and conformity is itself a kind of punishment, one that can flatten out your soul
or estrange you from it. Which means if you don't conform it you would get punishment from it, it
is a wrong system for teens, they should be different not just follow the rule. In my case, I would
say that, students should follow school's rule and follow it not break it. For example, when teen
graduate from high school, they have to facing the challenge from the society and workstations. If
you don't follow the company's rule which means you would be fired,I believe no one like those
employees who break rules and didn't follow it. I agree that high school formulate a rules which
students have to conform or take the punishment . If students have no ideas comply with rules in

High School Essay Help

  • 1. Why Go To High School Essay The reason why I want to attend Cass Technical High School is because I want to be challenged to my full academic ability. I've always wanted to go to Cass since I was a little boy in elementary. When I was in 8th grade, I truly wasn't challenged by the work I had, so my mother told me that I would get challenged at a school like Cass. I don't believe that I have been challenged at the school I go to now. I believe I can do better at your school because I will always have enough work in my classes and never will get bored when I'm finished. I put my homework as a priority before other things when I get home. I have always been an all "A" student since I was a little kid. I want to go to Cass so I can achieve my full Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My academic interests throughout the years have really changed and evolved as I have matured as a student. Since I started school, I've always had an appreciation for academics and the various subjects that I learned. I would attribute this to the fact that I was able to work with and learn from students, teachers or friends that were passionate about a particular subject, helping me understand a subject's value even if it did not particularly interest me. By having this exposure during my formative years where I learned to think independently, I came to cherish my own education in addition to realizing the importance and value education can hold for others. As I grew older and began to think for myself, I developed an affinity towards math and science. I would attribute this to the fact that my mind is more analytical than creative, leading me to find interest in areas of study that progress logically and introduce concepts that can be built on top of each other. Once I got to high school, the science classes that I took started to utilize concepts from mathematics and vice versa. I was particularly interested when concepts and ideas stemming from a variety of fields were put together in order to accomplish something practical. I began to seek out articles and videos online to further develop my knowledge of technology and scientific phenomena. At the end of my junior year, I was motivated to seek out and apply for various research opportunities that involved working Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My High School Year Essay There was a point in my time where I enjoyed school and took pleasure in attending school and that was elementary. Those were the best school years of my life, having nothing to care about, the school lunch was unbelievably amazing and we had recess. Middle school was manageable but was also beginning to become tough because the classes were becoming difficult. As we approach the beginning of our high school career, parents and teachers always tell us students that it's the best four years of our life, which in my case I did not find high school fascinating or enjoyable. I found high school to be very stressful, overwhelming and not easy, understanding that the next four years of my life will be filled with obstacles and challenges that I will face. I knew that I would have challenges with my courses, but I did not think I would have trouble with my emotions such as feeling depressed, sad, or that I would cry every other day, but to some teachers or parents thought it was normal for teenagers because we are going through different phases of our life. My freshman year was probably the best year of my high school year but I did face many challenges. I was immature, did not obey my teachers, always getting in some sort of trouble. I was carefree, fun, outgoing and had decent memories whether they were good memories or bad memories. Towards the middle of my freshman year I found out that I had Hyperthyroidism, and was quite confused and did not understand what it meant. As I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Why I Chose High School Essay After graduating from Conroe High School, I want to attend to Lone Star College Montgomery simply because it's closer to where I live, and because it's more affordable than any other state institution. I really don't feel like going to another college that is far away from home, because that would mean that I would have to stay in campus which is more expensive. I want to go to Lone Star for two years to complete my basics. The cost per semester at LSC is $800, so the total cost per two years at LSC is $3,200. It would've probably been more affordable if I had taken Dual Credit classes in high school to earn college credit and to accelerate my college completion, but I wanted to make my high school life easier by taking level classes. To say the least, I was too much of a coward to challenge myself. Lone Star is perfect for me because most of my friends will attend there. If I need help with any of my school work in college, it'll be easier to reach my friends. Whereas, if we went to different colleges, we would have to drive really far just to see each other. Also, if I my car ever breaks down and I'm left without a ride to college, then I know that I can count on my friends for a lift. As gratitude for their help, my friends know that...show more content... It is a fraction of the cost of a four year university. For instance, former high school graduates that are going to TX A&M have to pay about $4,575 per semester. The University of Texas beats A&M with $98. While in Lone Star College you only have to pay about $800 per semester. What a tremendous difference! I am aware that if I went to Lone Star and I'm competing with someone that went to one of those famous and expensive state institutions, then I know that I most likely won't get chosen by whichever job I was applying for, but that won't make me regret having chosen LSC. I'm glad that I chose to attend to Lone Star College Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. When Has High School Taught Me Essay In school, I learned many ways the world has been changing, the people and the environment. Something that I like about the schools I went to, gives the students a good environment to work and learn in. The teachers gave all the students a chance to learn what they had to teach us. School has given me the education to get me where I am now, high school. My schools have given helped teach me a life lesson on how the world can give me a hard time or go on smoothly, but most importantly, school has taught me to follow my dreams and never give up on what I think is right. As school has given me a good place to study in, I like the places that are clean and safe rather than messy and unsafe. Even if my middle school was a bit treacherous, I tried my best to ignore it all and work hard by thinking about how I wanted to end up, to live in the same house with my parents for the rest of my life, or to go...show more content... After each year of school, my teachers got better at teaching. I think it was because that they were given the talent to know what each student understands and what the students don't understand. Over the years of going to school, I hear students saying,"I want to have a "fun" teacher for this period." The thing about most "fun" teachers is that they don't really teach a lot and they concentrate on having fun with the students although I know that not all "fun" teachers are bad at teaching. I would much rather have a smart teacher who has experience on actually teaching the kids because school isn't a time to have fun, it's a time to learn what you don't know and understanding what you already know even better. I know that the teachers give every kid to learn, but it is the student's decision if they want to go to school for the actual purpose of going to school, or go to school just to mess around with Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. High School Hardships High school is full of many twists and turns and no one knows exactly what's going to happen in high school. There can be many things that can help to have a simple high school life but there is also things that can make it harder. I am going to be talking about three of my hardships I have faced during high school. Well for starters throughout all of high school I have procrastinated and put everything off till last minute and sometimes not even do it. I would sit there knowing I have some huge project that needs done the next day and instead of doing it I would think of some way to try to get out of it or distract myself. I would distract myself by playing video games, go on a walk, sometimes just take a nap, or by talking to a friend...show more content... I did not always go to Derby High I went to Little River Junior Senior High School from 6th grade to 11th grade. The reason why I moved here is from my own stupidity that involved the person previously mentioned. I felt like I wouldn't get along with anyone here in derby so I tried to not speak to anyone and try to just disappear. Luckily that did not last long cause my second day of school here I met amazing people who I got along with and they helped me alot with my struggles. Even though I had those amazing friends I still did not feel like I belonged here. I felt as if I was not needed so I tried to get back to doing school work but it didn't work because I was so used to not doing it and I did not know what we were doing because I stopped paying attention. I finally got back into the swing of things and I tried to get my grades back up. I was mostly successful. I have gotten better at doing my work, I found out she wasn't right for me, and I know I belong here. I am glad I was able to get over most all those trials but this is just the beginning. Honestly I have no idea of what I want to do after I leave high school job wise. I kinda want to go to college, work with computers, get married and have kids. I know those are things that will not happen until a long time from now but I can't wait to see what's next on this crazy train of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Motivation for High School Students Essay 1 Milestone3: Motivation for High School Students Sharon Robinson Walden University 2 Milestone 3: Motivation For High School Students With so many of life many failure attempts to succeed in life, we see those individuals that have dropped out of school and feel that their life now seems meaningless. Their determination or will power wasn't strong, and they had no one to push them forward to want to be a better person or succeed in life. Some students today feel that all they have to do is just attend school just because of their parents' wishes for them to receive a diploma. Some feel that classes are boring and frustrating and a waste of time and energy. Why do students of today feel this way?...show more content... Now how can you learn if you're not interested? This is when the teacher should consider providing fun and games, praise, and love within the classrooms, making the classroom exciting and more interesting. Before entering the classrooms, teachers should sit and study each individual student and learn their likes and dislikes. They should know what particular student need help in what particular subject. Some students need more help in other subjects than other students. This is when teachers should consider making their lesson plans focusing on subject matters that are current and relevant to high school students, implementing cooperative learning strategies with their lesson plans while students show off their talents. If students are demonstrating what they have learned in a skit, they tend to learn more positively. When providing fun and game within the classrooms, the students are excited about attending class because they already know something very eventful is going to take place in that particular class. Not only are they learning they are having fun while doing so. They are able to act out some of their personal talents, giving others a sense of who they really are, and what some of their greater skills may be. As acknowledge in the article "How to Motivate High School Students," "By allowing students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in a way that appeals to their strengths, you're giving them a chance Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 9. Reflection In High School Writing The challenging component this semester, was the transitioning part from high school level english and writing to college level. High school writing did not have many expectations, its main focus was on the ideal five paragraph essays. As compared to college, writing is mainly geared and focused on one's ability to thoroughly answer the prompt. However, I quickly adjusted to the change. In English 10, I have learned many valuable elements that I can incorporate in my everyday writing. I have chosen to include my writing from project 1 "Why English 10" and project 2 a rhetorical analysis on, "Black Lives Matter. These works effectively demonstrates my growth as a writer. After my completing of my initial draft for "Black Lives Matter", I have learned that rhetorically analyzing means just more than describing the purpose of the author's work. Rhetorically analyzing is more focused on trying to identify the claims and their impacts on the reader. There are many more elements that goes behind a rhetorical analysis. For example, a effective analysis may include and discuss rhetorical appeals such as ethos, pathos, logos, tone, and diction and their use. The uses of rhetorical appeals has a huge impact in writing and in persuading the audience. Learning these elements helped me to critically analyze works and quit focusing on the general information I read but to explore the meaning and purpose of what I read in depth meaning. Before when I read I just incorporated the surface meaning and basically summarized what I read. Analyzing has helped me to think outside of the box creatively. A progress that I do see evident when comparing my old works and drafts to my new drafts is the ability to effectively inserting quotes from valuable sources into my writing. The "They say" and "I say" method from the The Insiders guide to Academic Writing helped me a lot when I am trying to validate my reasoning to why I have included a quote in my work. Before as evident in project 1 "Why English 10", I just explained the "I say". I would often not include the "They say". I now am knowledgeable that quoting helps me add support and to strengthen my claims when I follow the "They say, I say" method. I have also noticed that the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Essay on Attending High School High School Do you remember your high school days? High school for me has proved to be a learning experience and also a challenge. There are many lessons that can be learned. You can learn more about yourself, who your friends are, what kind of help is offered to you, and what your strengths and your weaknesses are. Attending High School helped build my confidence because my classmates were supportive, my teachers taught me how to study for tests, and the math tutors helped me overcome my fear of math. My classmates were supportive in many ways. I used to attend study groups for the subjects that I was struggling in. In these meetings with each other,we would study our notes and review...show more content... Most students would wait until the last minute to study and try to cram all the information on a test in one night. But my teachers stressed that studying a little bit at a time would be the best way to go about learning the material. Another way they tried to provoke studying would be by telling us to study in a group.
  • 11. This method worked, but the method that I found that helped me the most was by using flash cards. It was a good way of studying especially for a test that had lots of definitions on it. But I found it much easier to look at a single piece of information instead of a whole page of notes at one time. Overall, teachers do not just teach you the facts from the books. They can help you sharpen your study skills by showing you new ways of learning. Lastly, the tutors at the school helped me to overcome my biggest fear and that was math. They helped me realize that if you take math one step at a time, it will be a lot easier than trying to learn it all at once. The tutors also made it easier for me by teaching me to relate math to something I enjoy. A simple example would be if you were having problems with percents. And they would tell you to relate it to something like when you go shopping and clothes have a certain discount. It carries the same principle. And this method can help you overcome a fear Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. High School Reflection Essay When working at Wade King in Mr. Denton's fourth grade classroom, I found that the students were very excited to have Nicole and me as guest teachers for their math hour. I had never worked with fourth grade students before, so their warm and inviting attitudes help calm my nerves. The lessons went well and I was surprised by some of the students' connections that they had made throughout our lessons. For example, there were several students that would bring up things that we hadn't talked about yet, but we were going to at the end of the lesson. Like the connection that certain fractions were larger than other fractions and this connection tied into the end of the lesson where we would place fractions on a number line by smallest to largest. It was so exciting to see students making these connections on their own and understanding the content that was being taught. I also felt like I was able to support the students very well when they had questions or difficulty with the lesson. I must admit, I was intimidated by the new fancy school and the fact that the students knew Chinese! Also, never having worked with fourth graders before, I didn't know what to expect or if I was truly prepared. Then we began teaching and the students had questions that I could confidently answer! Everything that I had learned paid off and it was such a good feeling to be able to support students learning. Something else that went well was teaching to Bridges. Bridges is so easy to follow and the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. My Life In High School Essay Any senior right now will honestly ask themselves how they could have possibly made it this far knowing how stressful high school can be. To finally come to this point in my life it feels amazing. Many seniors have their own way of making it to this place in time. I will give the reader my advice and thoughts on how to make the most of your life in high school. The first thing anyone will tell you to do in high school is to simply be involved. There are many ways to be involved with high school, the only problem with being involved is choosing the right activity or club for you. My advice for anyone who wants to be in a club or a sport is to give each club or sport a try. It doesn't matter if its FFA or Basketball, just tryout anything their possibly is and you possibly might like doing whatever it is you're doing to be involved with your school, trust me I'm telling you from experience. When it comes to assignments you either succeed or you fail. If you're like me, you have most likely mastered failure unfortunately. In reality is failure a bad thing? In certain cases failure is not so bad. Failing can be frustrating but when you fail at whatever you are doing you can easily learn from that failure and correct yourself and next thing you know you're passing that class you were just failing. Now success is a different story. Success is probably one of the most rewarding feeling there is, especially when you pull an all nighter on that composition you forgot to do last week Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. First Year In High School Essay It was the first day of senior year, which also meant the last time I will wake up after the summer break to High School. A million thoughts went racing through my head; what should I wear? What will my classes be like? Is there anyone of my classmates that haven't changed since I last saw them? All of these questions were going back and forth all morning long. After I finally relaxed and decided to get ready, I felt an overwhelming presence of nervousness wash over me. The thought finally struck me like a lightning bolt that I am a senior in high school. I didn't know what I was going to do. This was it, my last year of being able to enjoy childhood before I went off and had to be an adult. I decided to take a deep breath and just thank God for helping me get this far in life and give this year to Him. As I walked out of the front door, the nervous feelings went away and the next thing I knew was that my soul was full of excitement. • 15. Why I Want To Attend High School? When I was in middle school, I truly didn't care for school. I just thought it was a mandatory part of the everyday adolescent child. I came to school each day dreading the fact that I have to sit for hours and listen to lectures that I thought to myself that I don't need in the future. It was the beginning of the second semester in eighth grade, I was called in by my advisor. She told me that if I don't improve my grades, I would have to repeat a grade, and I would have to wait two years until I enter high school. This unnerving fact stopped me in my tracks, and I remember the cold feeling that suddenly surged through my body. There was a possibility that I could fail and repeat a grade. And so I thought to myself, is this really how I want to continue my life? Is...show more content... I studied day and night, I took initiative by asking my teachers questions every time I was confused, and I actually started to enjoy the lectures my teachers were giving me because I actually started to listen to what they are saying. By the end of the school year, my grades were relatively impressive, from almost failing, to practically succeeding. I entered high school, and I made it a personal promise and goal to absolutely succeed and push my limits. So far, I have succeeded with this goal. From the beginning of my freshman year, I made sure I took the maximum amount of classes, and I finished each course with an A. I took advantage of an internship program at my school, where I shadowed one of the science teachers at my school. Throughout my Sophomore year, I continued this. I finished each course with an A, except for Biology, for which I finished it with a B. I am now in my senior year, and I continue to be successful with all of my classes. I deeply care about my grades, and I go through a great extent to make sure I finish each course with exemplary results, but I cannot not get good grades if I am not motivated by Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 18. My Year Of High School Essay Back in my freshmen year of high school, I cringed at the thought of writing essays. I could not convey my thoughts through my writing efficiently. After sophomore year, I became a bit more confident about my writing. It was not until junior year, however, that my writing drastically improved. IB English 11 enhanced quite a few of my weaknesses and molded me into an analytical thinker. Nevertheless, the process of becoming a capable writer was rigorous. One of my biggest challenges as a writer: time management. Though I can write under pressure, I cannot produce my best work under pressure; time is necessary to compose an excellent paper. I often procrastinated working on essays and watched TV shows or movies instead. Now, I tell myself I can only watch the next episode of Jane the Virgin after I complete my work. This technique assisted me in complete my work more proficiently and also eliminated the stress I would have gone through if I had worked last minute. Though I have developed better time management skills over the years, I attempt to improve them further constantly. Besides time management, I have always struggled with beginning and concluding essays. I find generating hooks that catch an audience's attention quite difficult. Along with hooks, writing a conclusion that provides the reader satisfaction after reading my essay is also challenging. However, I learned a writing technique that helped me overcome this struggle: write the body paragraphs and Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I have many plans for high school; such as what classes I will take and what clubs I will join. But first I Have to take the entrance exams I have been studying for the high school entrance exams since the beginning of summer. My mom bought me three big texts books that will help with the High School Placement Test, Independent School Entrance Exam, and Secondary School Admission Test. Recently I have started going to a tutor that specializes in preparing students for the exams. I am applying for schools. My first one is Charter School of Wilmington. It is my first choice because it is two minutes from my house, so I would ride my bike. Also, it specializes in science which is my favorite subject, they are attached to an art school, which I also like to do, they have a good tennis team, and it is free. Archmere is my second choice. I like it there because it has a large campus that has buildings that are spread out like a college. Tower Hill is my third choice because it is next to my neighborhood. Also Tower Hill doesn't specialize in a specific subject it is an all–around school with art, music, math, science, and many more subjects. Friends is my fourth choice. I don't know much about Friends but i've heard it's a good school and will prepare for college. Padua is my backup school in case I don't get accepted into any other school. • 21. Abolish High School Essay Education is always a controversial topic. Especially that topic is about high school to educate. Rebecca solnit emphasizes that high school has a inaccurate system to educate, it identity students that who they are in the rest of life, people should escape from it. In the text, she writes that "high school in America is too often a place where one learns to conform or take punishment–––and conformity is itself a kind of punishment, one that can flatten out your soul or estrange you from it. Which means if you don't conform it you would get punishment from it, it is a wrong system for teens, they should be different not just follow the rule. In my case, I would say that, students should follow school's rule and follow it not break it. For example, when teen graduate from high school, they have to facing the challenge from the society and workstations. If you don't follow the company's rule which means you would be fired,I believe no one like those employees who break rules and didn't follow it. I agree that high school formulate a rules which students have to conform or take the punishment . If students have no ideas comply with rules in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
