3. Great Britain was the first country in the world that
witnessed the IR which led to the appearance of dramatical
changes that had an impact on British people’s life in
different levels social , economic , political and cultural
growth .
4. Social Impacts :
A number of remarkable social changes occurred within the Industrial
Revolution after the 18th century.
- Standard of living :The gradual increase in education
and literacy hit life expectancy rates .
- Urbanization : the population started to grow rapidly
due to the improvement of living conditions , It
brought a rapid movement wave of people into cities
- It established a new middle class within the working-
class : The middle and upper classes prospered
immediately / The working class prospered over time

- Many women entered the work for the first time .
- Female factory workers often made only one-third as much as men .
- As women became more involved in politics , some began to demand
