Typical Conventions of a horror trailer
• Dramatic/suspense music helps to create fear and the
feeling of the unknown
• Montage including music and small snippets from different
parts of the film all building up to one scene.
• Flashing images so only glimpses of the movie is available
because sometimes too much can give the whole film
away.

A high angle shot is used to show the deserted street with just
one person walking down it this makes the subject look venerable
and an easy target.

In this screen shot the protagonist is screaming this is a typical
convention of a horror film and can often be used after a long
suspense to make the audience jump.
Editing
The writing in the Montage appears to be melting these
conventions appear to fit well with the theme of wax throughput the
film and makes the writing more interesting to read.

In this scene it is used to create suspense and highlighting the
stereotypical conventions of a horror film, using cages and
mechanical looking equipment to create a feeling of

gives the audience a feeling of being in the

main focus to the audience they will not notice all
the other soundtracks playing in the scene, this
helps the audience to feel sympathy for her and
metaphorically experience her fear.
