Hope Through Common Threads is a group of refugee women and men from around the world who currently live in Jacksonville and come together to share traditional craft making methods. They hope to generate awareness and acceptance of refugees in the community, support and grow their fair trade business initiative, build confidence and language skills, and provide supplementary income through additional funding, business training, and product sales. As refugees themselves, the group is best positioned to accomplish these goals and preserve cultural identities in Jacksonville.
