Printmaking is the
process of making
artworks by printing,
normally on paper. A
waxy acid-resist, known
as a ground, is applied to
a metal plate, most
often copper or zinc but
steel plate is another
medium with different
qualities
Linocut is a printmaking £35-50 Up to 7 hours
technique, a variant of
woodcut in which a
sheet of linoleum
(sometimes mounted on
a wooden block) is used
for the relief surface. A
design is cut into the
linoleum surface with a
sharp knife, V-shaped
chisel or gouge, with the
raised (uncared) areas
representing a reversal
(mirror image) of the
parts to show printed.
