1. Risk assessment
1. Risk of tripping over camera wires and equipment. As we are filming
in a bedroom, there may not be much room depending on how big the
room is, therefore we will have to be aware of wires and other things
that may be in the way and be a hazard. To overcome this risk, we can
let other members of the group know about the wires.
2. The risk of water near electrical equipment. As we may be filming in
the bathroom at some point, there is a risk of having camera
equipment near water. This is a massive risk as there is the risk of
electrocution and shocks. To avoid this, we could keep wires well
away from any signs of water, or stand a few steps back from water
and zoom in instead.
3. The risk of low-key lighting. As we may choose to film in the dark, it
could be difficult to see things and there may be a higher risk of
tripping or falling over things (see point 1). To avoid this, we could
check to see if there is anything in the way before turning lights off to
make sure there is less chance of tripping over, or alternatively we
could not film in complete darkness and have some source of light on
the other side of the room.
4. The risk of using equipment incorrectly or unsafely. We could
overcome this risk by taking the time to make sure all members of the
group know how to use to the equipment correctly.
5. The risk of a fire. In some rare cases a fire may start whilst filming our
sequence. To avoid problems with evacuation, we should make sure
there is an emergency exit always easy to access and to get to, and we
could make a list of group members present so we know if there is
anybody missing.
