Safety Awareness Tips:
• When walking, walk defensively and be ready for unexpected events.
• Be familiar with the sounds in your shop and know what to listen for.
• Be aware of your surroundings and don’t allow your vision to be blocked. Listen for horns ,
alarms or other indications that forklifts or mobile equipment may be approaching.
• Keep a safe distance and stay clear of moving vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, aerial lifts,
trucks, cranes or any other type of mobile equipment.
• Pedestrians should engage in eye contact before crossing the path of moving equipment.
• Equipment operators should always be on the alert for pedestrians and ensure to make them
aware of the equipment.
• Pedestrians can come around blind corners and intersections without warning.
• Obey all traffic signs and safety rules when operating mobile equipment.
