Liberal politics in Pakistan faces several challenges. While liberals advocate for open debate and criticism of the government, real politics requires organization, institution building, and strategic action to achieve goals. However, liberals remain a minority as many come from upper classes and lack strong student or union support. Mainstream parties are controlled by feudal lords. For liberal ideals to succeed, they must organize strategically beyond just speeches to build a popular political alternative and counter the fascist control currently dominating the country.
2. THE CALL TO SPEAK OUT
Cornerstone of liberal politics
Voice your criticism
An approach which sees politics as debate
Disappearance of activists and the call to
speak out
For common people CTSO is to just pass the
judgment
For activist it has prominence
3. IN REALITY
• Politics is not about just debate but its about
• Organization of collective forces
• Creating political organizations
• Formulating long term strategy
• Building institutions
• Taking actions for goals and interest
• These things are clearly absent from libral
politics of country
4. LIBERAL MINORITY
WHY ARE THE LIBERALS IN MINORITY?
1. Most of them come from upper class
2. Political organization seems to be corrupt
3. Absence of student politics and ban on unoins
4. Main stream parties in the grip of feudal lords
So the liberal minority can be found in speech
heavy spaces of society
5. CONCLUSION
• Country in the hands of fascists
• liberals(who oppose current state of affairs)
must organize themselves
• Along with speaking out and protesting there
must be organized political strategy
• In order to build popular political alternative
to push back fascist tide
