2. The Beloved Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam said,
“That person who reads this Dua thrice whilst on his bed, and then goes to
sleep, Almighty Al’laah will forgive all his sins even if they be equal to leaves
on the trees or the sand on the dunes. (Tirmizi Shareef Vol.2 Pg.175).
‫استغفرال الذى آل اله اال هو الحى القيوم وا توب اليه‬
ِ ْ‫ْيَ ِهْ ْيَ ِهْ ِ ا ُ ه َّ ِ ِهْ ْيَ ِ ْيَ ْيَ ِ ه َّ ا ُ ْيَ ِهْ ْيَ وُّ ِهْ ْيَ وُّ ِهْ ا ُ ْيَْيَ ا ُ ِهْ ا ُ ِ ْيَ ِه‬
I seek forgiveness from Allah besides Whom there
is none worthy of worship, The Ever Living, The
Sustainer, and we turn to You in repentance.

3. َ ْ‫ َ ل و ُ َّ َكَِكِ َيْ َكِ َ َ و ُ َيْ و ُ َا َي‬
‫الل َّهم باسمك اموت و َحي‬
“O Al’laah! In Your Name I die and live”

4. When the Noble Prophet ( Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam)
would awaken from His rest (sleep), He would read:
‫اللحمد هلل اللذى احى نفسى بعد مااماتها و الليه اللنشور‬
ُ ‫ َ َيْ َ َيْ و ُ َكِ َّ َكِ َيْ َ َيْ َ َ َيْ َكِ َيْ َ َيْ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َكِ َ َيْ َكِ ُّ و ُ َيْ و‬
All praise is due to Al’laah, Who has granted us
life after taking it away from us and towards
Him is our resurrection (Tirmizi Shareef Vol.2
Pg.178)

5. Always read this before eating:
ِ‫َكِ َيْ َكِ َكِ َّ َيْ َ َكِ َّ َكِ َيْ َك‬
‫بسم اهلل اللرحمن اللرحيم‬
Al’laah’s Name we begin with, The Compassionate, Most Merciful.

6. If you have forgotten to read it and remember halfway through
your meal, then say,
ُ ‫َكِ َيْ َكِ َكِ َ َّ َ و ُ َ َ َكِ َ و‬
‫بسم اهلل اولله واخره‬
“Al’laah’s Name we begin and end with”

7. Hazrat Abu Umaama Radi Allahu anhu says that the Beloved Prophet Sallal
Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam would read the following dua when
the eating mat would be lifted up after eating:
ِ‫ َ َيْ َ َيْد َكِ َ َيْ اً َ َكِ َيْ اً َ بِّ اً ُّ َ َ اً َكِ َيْ َك‬
‫ا للحم و ُ هلل حمدا كثيرا طيبا مباركا فيه‬
‫غير مودع و ال مستغنى عنه ر بنا‬
َ َّ َ ُ ‫ َ َيْ َ و ُ َ َّ ّو ٍ َّ َ و ُ َيْ َ َيْ اً َ َيْ و‬
Praise be to Al’laah with an abundantly beautiful,
sanctified Praise, a never ending praise, which we will
never bid farewell to, and a most important praise. He
(Al’laah) is our Creator. (Tirmizi Shareef Vol.2 Pg.183).

8. Hazrat Abu Sa’eed Khudri Radi Allahu anhu reported that the Noble
Prophet (Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam) would read the
following dua after he had completed his meal:
َ ْ‫ َ َنْ َ َنْ ْسُ ْيِ َّ ْيِ َنْ َ َنْ َم َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ْيِ َ َنْ ْسُ َنْْيِ ْيِ َن‬
‫ا لحمد هلل الذى اطع َانا وسقانا وجعلانا من المسلمين‬
All Praise is due to Al’laah, who has blessed
us with food and drink and made us from
amongst the Believers (Muslims) (Abu
Dawood Pg.573).

9. When drinking milk, you should read the following dua:
ُ ْ‫ َ ل ُ َّ َ نِ ُهْ َ َ نِ ُهْ نِ َ نِ ُهْ َ نِ ُه‬
‫ا ل َّهم بارك لنا فيه وزدانا منه‬
O Al’laah grant us blessing in it and grant us
more from it. (Tirmizi Shareef Vol.2 Pg.183).

10. When the Beloved Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa
Sallam would intend to enter the toilet, he would say
ِ‫اللهم ا انى اعوذ بك من الخبث وال َبائ ن‬
‫ َ َّ ُ َّ نِ ِّ ُهْ َ ُ ُهْ ُ نِ َ نِ َ ُهْ ُ ُهْ نِ َ ُهْخ َ نِث‬
“O Allaah, I take refuge with you from all
evil and evil-doers” (Sahih Bukhari Vol.2
Pg.936)

11. Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu anhu reports that the Noble Prophet
(Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa aalyhi Sallam) said,
“When anyone from amongst you sneezes, then he should say,
ِ‫ا لحم ُ ن‬
‫هلل‬is‫د‬due to Al’laah
All Praise
ْ‫ َ ُهْ َ ُه‬
And his friend or brother who hears him should say,
ُ Al’laahُ have mercy
‫ يحرحمك اهلل‬upon you
May Almighty
َ َ ْ‫ُه‬
Then in response to this, the one who sneezed should say,
ْ‫ َ ُهْ نِ ُهْ ُ ُ ُ َ ُ ُهْ نِ ُ َ َ ُ ُه‬
‫يهديكم اهلل و يصلح بالكم‬
Al’laah grant you guidance and remedy your condition.
This Hadith has been narrated by Imam Bukhari (Ref: Mishkaat Shareef Pg.405).

12. Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abbas Radi Allahu anhu reports that whenever the
Beloved Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam was in any
discomfort or if he felt any unhappiness, he would read the following dua
continuously:
َّ ِ‫ َ نِ َه نِ َّ ُ ُهْ َ نِ ُهْ ُ ُهْ َ نِ ُهْ ُ َ نِ َ َ ن‬
‫آل ال َ اال اهلل الحليم الحكيم آل اله اال‬
ِ‫اهلل رب العحرش العظيم آل اله اال اهلل ن‬
ُ َّ ِ‫ ُ َ ُّ ُهْ َ ُهْ نِ ُهْ َ نِ ُهْ َ نِ َ َ ن‬
‫رب السماوات واالرض ورب العحرش الكحري نِ ط‬
‫ َ ُّ َّ َ َ َ َ ُهْ َ ُهْ نِ َ َ ُّ ُهْ َ ُهْ نِ ُهْ َ نِ ُهْم‬
There is none worthy of worship except Al’laah, The
Fore-bearing, The All Wise. There is none worthy of
worship except Al’laah, The Lord of the Exalted
Throne. There is none worthy of worship except
Al’laah, The Lord of the Skies and The Lord of the
Earth and the Lord of the distinguished Throne.

13. The Beloved Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam
said, “If anyone sees a person who is caught up in any calamity (such
as illness or some hardship etc.) then he should read the following dua
and he shall be protected for the rest of his life from such an illness or
calamity:
َ َ َ ْ‫ َ ُهْ َ ُهْ ُ نِ َّ نِ ُهْ َ فانِ ُهْ نِ َّ ُه‬
‫ا لحمد هلل الذى عا َ انى مماابتالك‬
‫نِ نِ َ َ َّ َ نِ ُهْ َ َ َ نِ ُهْ م ٍ ِّ َّ ُهْ خ َ َ َ ُهْ نِ ال‬
ً翓 ْ‫به وفضلنى على كثيحر ممن َلق تفضيُه‬
All praise is due to Al’laah Who protected me
from that with which He tested you and Who
definitely favoured me over much of His creation.
(Tirmizi Shareef Vol.2 Pg.181).

14. The Noble Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) said, whoso ever
recites this dua before leaving his home, all his difficulties will go away and he
shall be protected from the mischief of his enemies and shaitaan will stay away
from him:
‫بسم اهلل توكلت على اهلل وال حول َال قوة اال باهلل ط‬
ِ‫ْيِ َنْ ْيِ ْيِ َ َ َّ َنْ ْسُ َ َ ْيِ َ َ َ َنْ َ و َ ْسُ َّ َ ْيِ َّ ْيِ ْي‬
Al’laah’s Name we begin with, I place my (full) trust in
Al’laah and there is no Might and Power except with
Al’laah (Tirmizi Shareef Vol.2 Pg.180)

15. The Noble Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam said that if
a person recites this dua when entering a market place, Almighty Al’laah will
command one million good deeds to be recorded in his book of deeds, and He
will forgive one million of his sins and he will exalt his status by one million
folds.
‫آل اله اال اهلل وحده ال شريك له له الملك وله الحمد‬
ُ ْ‫ْمَ ْيِْمَ ْمَ ْيِ ا َّ ُ ْمَ ُدْ ْمَ ُ ْمَ ْمَ ْيِ ُدْ ْمَ ْمَ ُ ْمَ ُ ُدْ ُ ُدْ ُ ْمَْمَ ُ ُدْ ْمَ ُد‬
ُ ْ‫ُ ُدْ ْيِ ْمَ ُ ْيِ ُدْ ُ ْمَ ُ ْمَ ْمَ ٌّ ا َّ ْمَ ُ ُدْ ُ ْيِ ْمَ ْيِ ْيِ ُدْ ْمَ ُد‬
‫يحى و يميت وهو حى ال يموت بيده الخير‬
ٌ ْ‫ْمَ ُ ْمَ ْمَ ْمَ ُ ِّ ْمَ ُدْ ق ٍ ْمَ ْيِ ُد‬
‫وهوعلى كل شيئ قدير‬
“There is none worthy of worship except Al’laah. He is alone
without any partner. To him belongs all Sovereignty and for Him
is all Praises. He gives life and causes death and He is All
Existing (Living) and does not die. In His Hand is all good and
He has Divine Power over all things.”

16. (1) It must be noted that here the term “His Hand” does not
mean that Al’laah has a hand, but it refers to Al’laahs Power
and Divine Control. We must remember that Al’laah does not
have any human or body parts etc. He is free from all that
which is creation. He does not need eyes to see or ears to
hear etc. He is Al’laah and does as He wills.
(2) When it is said that Al’laah has power over all things, it does
not mean that Al’laah has the power to do bad things, like tell
a lie etc. To believe this is totally incorrect. It is a weakness
in qualities such a lies etc. that they cannot be attributed to
Al’laah.

17. It is on the authority of Hazrat Abdullah bin Sarjee Radi Allahu anhu
that the Noble Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa
Sallam used to recite the following Dua before going on a journey:
ِ ْ‫َّ لْهَ ِ لْهَ ِلْ لْهَِ ِلْ لْهَ ف ُ ِ ِلْ لْهَ ِل‬
‫اللهم ا ن لْهَ الصِحاحب ف ى السفر والخليفة ف ى االهل‬ ِ ُ ‫لْهَ َّ ف ُ َّ لْهَ ِلْت َّ ِ ف‬
‫اللهم اصبحنِحا ف ى سفرنِحا واخلفنِحا ف ى اهلنِحا‬
َ‫لْهَ َّ ف ُ َّ ِلْ لْهَ ِلْ لْهَ ِ ِلْ لْهَ لْهَ ِ لْهَ لْهَ ِلْف ُ ِلْ لْهَ ِ ِلْ لْهَ ِلْ ِ لْه‬
‫اللهم ا ن ى اعوذ ةبك من وعثِحاء السفر و كآةبة المن لْهَلب‬
ِ َ‫لْهَ َّ ف ُ َّ ِ ِّ ِلْ لْهَ ف ُ ِلْ ف ُ ِ لْهَ ِ ِلْ َّ ِلْ لْهَ ِ َّ لْهَ ِ لْهَ لْهَ ِ ِلْ ف ُ ِلْق لْه‬
ِ ْ‫لْهَ ِ لْهَ ِلْ لْهَ ِلْ ِ لْهَ ِلْ لْهَ ِلْ لْهَ ِلْ ِ لْهَ ِ ِلْ لْهَ ِلْ لْهَ ِ ِلْ لْهَ ِلْف ُ ِل‬
‫ومن الحور ةبعد الكور ومن دعو ة المظلوم‬
ِ َ‫لْهَ ف ُ ِلْ ِ ِلْ لْهَ ِلْ لْهَ ِ ِ ِلْ لْهَ ِلْ ِ لْهَ ِلْ لْه‬
‫وسوء المنظر ف ى االهل والمِحال‬
“O Al’laah, You are The True Guide on my Journey and the
Protector of my Family. O Al’laah, You are Our True Guide on
Our Journey and Our Protector of Our Families. O Al’laah I
seek refuge in You from the difficulties of this journey, from
beholding a miserable sight and on ill return in my family and
wealth.” (Tirmizi Vol.1 Pg.181).

18. When one sits on an animal or on a seat of a transport, recite this Dua:
ُ َ‫ُ ُدْ ْمَ ْمَ ا َّ ْيِ ُدْ ْمَ ا َّ ْمَْمَ ْمَ ْمَ ْمَ ْمَ ْمَ ُ ا َّ ْم‬
‫سبحن الذى سخرلنل ا هذا و مل ا كنل ا له‬
ْ‫ُ ُدْ ْيِ ْيِ ُدْ ُدْ ْمَ ْيِ ا َّ ْيِْمَ ْمَ ِّ ْمَ ْمَ ُ ُدْ ْمَْيِ ُ ُدْ ُد‬
‫مقرنين و انل ا الى ربنل ا لمنقلبون‬
“Glory be to Al’laah who has given us
control over this (mode of transport) and
without his Grace we would not have been
able to control it and undoubtedly we are to
return towards our Lord.” (Abu Dawood –
Tirmizi).
When the Noble Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam would go
to see someone off on a journey, then before the person left the Noble Prophet
Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam would make the following dua for
him:
َ‫ْمَ ُدْ ْمَ ُدْ ْيِ ُ ْمَ ْيِ ُدْ ْمَ ْمَ ْمَْمَ ْمَ ْمَ ْمَ ْمَ و ْمَ ْيِ ْمَ ْمَمْيِ ْم‬
‫استودع اهلل دينك وامل انتك ْمَخ ْمَ يم ع ْمَلك‬
ْ‫واتُد‬
I place your Religion, your reliance and the
end of your deeds in the trust of Al’laah.
(Tirmizi Shareef Vol.2 Pg.182).

19. When the Noble Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam would
return to Madinatul Munawwarah from any journey, then on reaching his blessed
home, he would say,
َ‫ْمَ ْيِ ُ ُدْ ْمَ ْمَ ْيِ ُ ُدْ ْمَ ْمَ ْيِ ُ ُدْ ْمَ ْيِ ْمَ ِّ ْمَ ْمَ ْيِ ُ ُدْ ْم‬
‫ائبون تل ائبون عل ابدون لر بنل احل امدون‬
We return repenting to our Lord, worshipping our
Lord, and praising our Lord (Tirmizi Vol.2 Pg. 182)
The Noble Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam mentioned
that whilst on journey if a person stops over anywhere (to rest or sleep etc.) and
he reads the following dua, then no harm shall come to him whilst he is there.
َ‫ْمَ ُ ُدْ ُ ْيِ ْمَْيِ ْمَ ْيِ ْيِ ا َّ ا َّ ْيِ ْيِ ُدْ ْمَ ِّ ْمَ ْمَْمَ ْم‬
‫اعوذ بكلمل ات اهلل التل امل ات من شر مل اخلق‬
I seek refuge in Al’laah’s perfectly complete
Word from the evils of that which has been
created.

20. DUA FOR DEBTS
Sahabi-e-Rasool Hazrat Abu Sa’eed Khudri Radi Allahu anhureports
that once the Noble Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa
Sallam went to the Musjid and saw Hazrat Abu Umaama Ansaari Radi
Allahu anhu in the Masjid. The Noble Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala
Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam asked, ‘O Abu Umaam! Why and for what
reason are you seated in the Masjid at this time, whereas it is not the
time for Namaaz?’ Hazrat Abu Umaama Radi Allahu anhu replied, Ya
Rasoolal’laah Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam, I am
under much pressure due to the burden of many problems and much
debt.’ The Noble Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa
Sallam said, ‘Should I not teach you such a prayer that by reading it,
Al’laah Almighty will removed all your sorrows and allow your debt to
be fulfilled?’ Hazrat Abu Umaama Radi Allahu anhu said, ‘Why not, Ya
Rasoolal’laah Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam Please
teach it to me.’ So the Noble Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa
Aalihi Wa Sallam said, ‘Read this dua daily, every morning and every
evening:

21. Hazrat Abu Umaama Radi Allahu anhu says, ‘I recited this dua and my
worries began to go away and Almighty Al’laah removed me from debts.’
(Abu Dawood Vol.1 Pg.217).
ِ ْ‫لْهَ َّ ف ُ َّ ِ ِّ ِلْ لْهَ ف ُ ِلْ ف ُ ِ لْهَ ِ لْهَ ِلْ لْهَ ِّ لْهَ ِلْح ِل‬
‫اللهم ا ن ى اعوذ ةبك من الهم وال ف ُزن‬
ِ ْ‫لْهَلْهَ ف ُ ِلْ ف ُ ِ لْهَ ِ لْهَ ِلْ لْهَ ِلْ ِ لْهَ ِلْ لْهَ ِل‬
‫واعوذ ةبك من العجز والكسل‬
ِ ْ‫لْهَلْهَ ف ُ ِلْ ف ُ ِ لْهَ ِ لْهَ ِلْ ف ُ ِلْ ِ لْهَ ِلْ ف ُ ِل‬
‫واعوذ ةبك من الجبن والبخل‬
‫لْهَلْهَ ف ُ ِلْ ف ُ ِ لْهَ ِ ِلْ لْهَ ِلْ لْهَ ِ َّ ِلْ ِ لْهَ لْهَ ِلْ ِ ِّج ل‬
ِ ‫واعوذ ةبك من غلبة الد ين وقهر الر لْهَِحا‬
“O Al’laah, I seek refuge in You from
agony and grief, and I seek refuge in You
from incapability and laziness, and I
seeik refuge in You from cowardice and
miserliness, and I seek refuge in You
from being overwhelmed by debt and the
tyranny of men”

22. Hazrat Ali Radi Allahu anhu says that if a person reads the following
dua, his debts shall be wiped out, even if they are equivalent to a
mountain.
‫ماللهم ماكفنى بحال لك عن حرمامك‬
َx ِ‫َ ك‬x َx ْ ‫َ ح‬x َx ِ‫َ ك‬x َx ِ‫َ َّ َّمُ َّ ح ْ كِ كِ ح ْ ك‬x
َx َx ِ‫َ َّ ح ْ ك‬x َx ِ‫َ ح ْ ك‬x ِ‫َ ح ْ كِ كِ ح ْ ك‬xَx
‫وماغننى بفضلك عمن سوماك‬
“O Al’laah, grant me sufficiency in your
halaal (lawful) provision from the
unlawful, And free me by your Grace
from all besides You.” (Mishkaat
Shareef Pg.216 – Tirmizi Shareef Vol.1
Pg.195).

23. The Noble Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam said
that whosoever reads this thrice will not be harmed by anything in the
world:
‫بسم ماهلل مالذى ال يضر مع ماسمه شيئ فى‬
ِ‫َ ح ْ ف ٌ ك‬x ِ‫َ ح ْ كِ ك‬x َx ُّ ُ‫َ َّم‬x َx ْ ‫كِ ح ْ كِ كِ َّ كِ ح‬
ُ‫ماالرض و ال فى مالسمءآء وهو مالسميع مالعلي َّم‬
‫َ كِ ح ْم‬x ْ ‫َ َّ كِ ح ْ َّمُ ح‬x ُ‫َ َّم‬x ِ‫َ ك‬x َّ ِ‫َ ك‬x َx ِ‫َ ح ْ ك‬x ْ ‫ح‬
Al’laah’s Name we begin with, with whose name
nothing on earth nor in the skies has the ability to
cause harm and He is the All Seeing, The All-
Knowing. (Tirmizi Shareef Vol.2 Pg.173).

24. It has been reported that both Abdul Azeez bin Suhaib and Thaabit Banaani
‫ رضى ا عنهما‬went to meet Hazrat Anas Radi Allahu anhu and Thaabit
Banaani said, O Abu Hamza (Hazrat Anas), I have become ill.’ Hazrat Anas
Radi Allahu anhu said, ‘Should I not read that dua and blow over you which
the Noble Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam used to
read and blow over those who were ill, so that they may be cured?’ Hazrat
Thaabit Banaani Radi Allahu anhu said, ‘Why not’, so Hazrat Anas Radi
Allahu anhu read this dua:
َx َx ِ‫َ كِ كِ ح ْ ك‬x ْ ‫َ ح‬x ِ‫َ َّ َّ كِ َّمُ ح ْ ك‬x َّ ُ‫َ َّ َّم‬x
‫ماللهم رب مالنساس مذهب مالبساس ماشف ما نح ْت‬
‫مالشسافى ال شسافى ماال ما نت شفساء اليغسادر سقح ْمسا‬
ً‫َ كِ َّمُ َّمُ ا‬x ُ‫َ َّم‬x ً‫َ ا‬x ِ‫َ ك‬x ْ ‫َ ح‬x َّ ِ‫َ كِ ح ْ ك‬x َx ْ ‫ َّ كِ ح‬
O Al’laah, Sustainer of mankind, remove his difficulty
and cure him. You are the only One who cures. There
is no cure but Yours. Grant such (complete) cure that
leaves no trace of illness. (Bukhari Shareef Vol.2
Pg.855).

25. The Noble Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam
said that if one fears that any nation or army may cause harm to his life
or wealth, then he should read:
ْ ‫َ كِ ح ْ َّمُ َّمُ ح ْ كِ كِ ح‬x ِ‫َ َّمُ ح ْ َّمُ ك‬x َx ْ ‫َ كِ ح ْ َّمُ َّمُ ح ْ كِ كِ ح‬x ُ‫ََّم‬x ْ ‫َ ح‬x َّ ِ‫َ َّ َّمُ َّ ك‬x
‫ماللهم مانسا نجعلك فى نحورهم و نعوذ بك من شرورهم‬
Al’laah hum’ma In’na Naj’aluka Fi Nuhoorihim
Wa Na’oozu bika min Shuroorihim (Abu
Dawood Vol.1 Pg.215)
O Al’laah, we beg of You to repel them and we
seek refuge in You from their evil.
