Authority In Sahih Bukari
In Sahih Bukhari, (Allah be pleased with him)
there is a tradition related to the authority of
"Ata" ( Tribute) which comprehends the
majority of the noble traits of Character of the
Holy Prophet Muhammad (Allah's blessings
And Salutations be on Him). Some of these
find a mention in the Holy Quraan also: The
Hasis Qudsi is follow the following:
"YIayyouhun Nabiu Inna-aursulnaka
Shahaidov' Va-mubashahiairov'n Va-

Bukhari)
O! Prophet Muhammad [Sallal-laho Alaihi
Wa-sallam] We Have sent you a witness, a
bringer of tidings ( for the obedient )a Warner (
for those who are astray), and a protector for
the Ummah. ( The Had'is Qudsi )( in Sahih
Bukhari)
4. "Vama Aursulnaha Illa Rahmatul

And We have not sent you(Muhammad) except
as a Blessing for all the universe(for all the
time. (Al-QurranXXI:1O7)
"Vaaursalnaka Linnasai Rasoola.
Vaakufaabillahai Shahida". (Al-Qurran-
IV:79)
And We (Allah) have sent you(Muhammad) as
a Rasool (Messenger) for the (entire) mankind
(for all the times). And Allah's witness is
sufficient (to this great truth)". (Al-Quran-
IV:79)
"Makana Muhammadon Aabaahadim
Mirrijalaikom Valakir Rasoolullahai
Vakhatamun Nabieen".(Al-Qurran-
XXXIII:40)
Muhammad (Allah's blessings and salutation
be on him) is not at all a father to anyone male
among you but is the last Rasool (Messenger)
5. of Allah and is the final of the prophets. (Al-
Quran-XXXIII:40)
"Laqudkana lakom Fee Rasoolillahai Usvatun
Hassanatun". (Al-Qurran-XXXIII:21)
Surely, for you, the life pattern of the Rasool
(last Messenger) of Allah has the best model to
follow. (Al-Quran-XXXIII:21)
Prophet Muhammad [Sallal-laho Alaihi Wa-
sallam] has said: If anyone recites Durood
[salaat] i.e. invites blessings on me ) [Sallal-
laho Alaihi Wa-sallam] near my grave, I hear
it personally. If anyone recites it at a distance,
the angels bring it to me". [Baihaqi.....]
The prophet Muhammad [Sallal-laho Alaihi
Wa-sallam] has said: If anyone writes Durud
[salaat] to me in the book, then the angels will
continue to invoke Blessings on him [Sallal-
laho Alaihi Wa-sallam] so long as my name
remains in the book. As and when the name of
The Prophet Muhammad [Sallal-laho Alaihi
Wa-sallam] is mentioned in the Friday sermon
6. or the Khateeb [rhetoric] recites the following
ayah:
"Ya-ayyuhullabaloo Amanu Sallu Alaihi
Wasallimou Tusslimah".
One should say in his heart without moving
the tongue"( May Allah bless and greet on the
prophet Muhammad (Sallu Alaihi
Wasallim)".[Dur-e-Mukhtar]
It has been stated in Dur-e-Mukhtar that
moving the limbs and raising the voice while
reciting Durood Sharif is a lack of knowledge.
This means that it is not appropriate to sit in a
circle after the salat (prayer) and recite Durud
in a loud voice.
while writing the name of the Holy Prophet
Muhammad [ Allah's blessings and salutation
be on him] should be written in full. There
should be no abbreviation i.e.(SAW) e.c.t. The
addition of the prefix Sayyed-Na [our leader] is
commendable and preferable.[Dur-e-Mukhtar]
7. According to Imam Tahawi [Allah be merciful
on him] if the name of the holy prophet
Muhammad [Allah's blessings and salutation
be on him] is mentioned again and again in a
session, then it is incumbent both on speaker
and the listener to recite Durud every time.
It is permissible to recite durood without
ablution [wudu] but to do so with wudu is light
upon light. It occurs in a tradition that the
Holy Prophet Muhammad [ Allah's blessings
and salutation be on him] said: Invoke
blessings on me [Sallal-laho Alaihi Wa-sallam]
on Friday extensively and angels attend it and
this durood is presented to me. [Ibn Majah -
Abu Dawud]
Hadhrat Abu Hafs ibn Shahin [ Allah be
merciful on him] has reported on the authority
of Hadhrat Ans that the Holy Prophet
Muhammad [Sallal-laho Alaihi Wa-sallam]
said: If one of you recites durood a thousand
times, he will breathe his last until he has seen
his place in paradise. [Sa; ayah - Zadus Said]
8. Hadhrat 'Umar bin al-Khattab [Allah be
merciful on him] said, "The Supplication
remains suspended between heaven and earth,
none of it ascending till you Invoke blessing on
your Holy prophet Muhammad [Allah's
blessings and salutation be on him]
The above tradition has also been reported by
Hazrat Ali [Allah be pleased with him]
CURATIVE AYAT
Imam Abul Qasim Qushairi [Allah have mercy
on him] has been reported as saying: One of
my children fell ill and his illness reached a
point that he was about to die. At this stage. I
saw the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal-laho
Alaihi Wa-sallam] [ Allah's blessings and
salutation be on him] in a dream and told him
about the condition of my child. The Holy
Prophet Muhammad [ Allah's blessings and
9. salutation be on him]. Why do you keep away
from creative Ayat? Why don't you make use of
them and beseech cure'. I woke up and began
to ponder over the matter. I found curative
versus at six places in the Quraan. These
verses are:
1: "Va-yeshfi Sodura Qaumim Momainin".
[9/14]
(And will heal the hearts of the believing
people)[9/14]
2: " Washifaullima Fee-sudur ". [10/57]
(And healing what in your hearts) [10/57]
3: " Yakhrojo Mimbatoneha Sharabum
Mokhtalaifon Alvanuhofehai-
shifaullinnas"(16-69)(There comes out from
their (bees) bellies a fluid of varied colors
(honey)in which there is healing for the
people).[16/69]
10. 4: " Wa Ezamaridhto Fahova Yeshfeen". [ 26-
80]"
(And when I am sick, He heals me) [26-80]
5:"Qull hovalilazina Amanu Hodoivm
Vashifaa".[41/44]
(Say it is guidance and a healer for the
belief)[41/44]
I wrote these 'ayat' and dissolved the writing in
water and made the child drink it. The child
got instantly healed as if fitters and been
removed from his feet. [Madarijun -
Nubuwwah]

Theme images by MichaA.W) knocked them with the help of Hadhrat Ali (R.A) and recited the
verse of the Holy Qur'an "Please declare, the truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Surely
12. falsehood is ever vanishing".(Al-Qur'an-XVII-81). It is to be cleaned and made forever an
emblem of the oneness and Supremacy of Allah as well as the unity of transworld Muslims.
One by one the stone-gods were dismantled from inside and outside the Ka'aaba. Images and
effigies were deleted from its outer walls. He (S.A.W) then Prostrated himself in worship within
the Ka'aaba. He (S.A.W) sitting down within sent Bilal to summon 'Othman Bin Tallhah
possessing the Key of the Ka'aaba. Ascending the steps of the threshold and unlocking the door
he ordered that idols should be destroyed and images obliterated from its within with complete
overhaul with the help of Hadhrat Ali (Allah is pleased with him). He (S.A.W) in the sacred hall
performed devout prostrations. He (S.A.W) then returned to the doorway the Isstelaam, and,
standing upon its elevated step, gazed in thankfulness on the thronging multitude below. It was
the 20th of Ramadan, the eighth year of Hijra, when on the gate of Holy Ka'aaba, and with its
key held in his hand, and delivered the following address;
"There is no god but Allah alone. He has no associate. He made good His promise that He held
to His devotee and helped him and defeated all the confederates along. Bear in mind that every
claim of privilege, whether that of blood or property, is under my feet, except that of the custody
of the Ka'aaba, worship in it, and supplying of water to the pilgrims. Bear in mind anyone who is
slain, even though unintentionally, maybe cost club or whip, for him the blood cost is very
severe: a hundred camels, forty of them to be pregnant. O people of Quraish surely Allah has
abolished from you all pride of the time of ignorance and all pride in your ancestry, (because)
all men descended from Aadam, and Aadam was fashioned out of clay". Then He (S.A.W) recited
to them the Verse:
"O mankind verily We (Allah) have created you of a male and a female and We (Allah) have
made you nations and tribes that you might know one another. Surely the noblest of you with
Allah is the one who most fears from Him. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware". (Al-Qur'an-
IXLX: 13)
He (S.A.W) further added:
"O you people of Quraish what do you think of the treatment that I am about to accord to you?"
They replied :
"Muhammad* (Allah's Blessings and Salutation on him) meaning highly praised, also named
Ahmad in the Qur'an, the founder of Islam, the man who was destined to change the world, is
perhaps the only prophet born in the full light of history. whereas the lives of the other prophets
have been shrouded in mystery, abut Muhammad (S.A.W) there exists a great wealth of
information even down to a detailed description of his physical appearance. "He was" quotes
Prof. Lane-pool*+ " of the middle height, rather thin, but broad of shoulders, wide of the chest,
strong of bone and muscle. His head was massive and strongly developed; dark hair strongly
curled flowed in a dense mass down almost to his shoulders. Even in advanced age, it was
sprinkled by only about twenty grey hair, produced by the agonies of his 'Revelations'. His face
was oval-shaped, slightly tawny of color. Fine, long arched eyebrows were divided by a vein that
throbbed visibly in moments of passion. Great black restless eyes shone out from under long,
13. heavy lashes. His nose was large. slightly aquiline. His teeth upon which bestowed great care
were well set, dazzling white. A full beard framed his manly face. His skin was clear and soft, his
complexion 'red and white, his hands were as 'silk and stain' even as those of a woman. His step
was quick and elastic yet firm and as that of one ' who steps from a high to a low place'. In
turning his face he would also turn his full body. His gait and presence were dignified and
imposing. His countenance was mild and pensive. His laugh was rarely more than a smile. (
Lane-Poole, Study in a Masque, page- 37)
* It is both interesting and significant to note that no person in Arab before him is believed to
have been born the name of Muhammad (S.A.W).
The word founder has not been used here in the literal sense. Islam being a religion existing
from eternity Muhammad (S.A.W) revealed it in all its aspects, gave in the final shape being the
last of the chain of Prophethood.
Marriage with Lady Khadeeja, (Radhi Allahu Ta'ala Unha)
During the business deal the servant of Hadhrat Khadeejah-tull-Kuubra, named Mysarrah,
always remained with Muhammad (S.A.W). He narrated to Hadhrut Khadeeja, (Allah is pleased
with her) the good attributes and manageability of the Muhammad (S.A.W) which he had
observed during the business journey and his (S.A.W) tradesman ship. On hearing about these
virtues, Hadhrat Khadeeja,(R.A) the richest lady of the land had fallen in love with him.
Notwithstanding the difference in their ages Muhammad, was twenty-five, while Khadeeja,(R.A)
was fifteen years his senior. She personal talk with Muhammad (S.A.W). Ibn-i-Ishaque reported:
She said, "O My uncle's son. You and I are relatives. Besides I want to marry you because you
are trustworthy, true, gracious, of noble lineage and virtuous".
After obtaining the consent of his uncle Abu Talib, Muhammad (S.A.W) accepted this offer.
Khadeeja,s (R.A) uncle Umar Ibn-Asad gave her in marriage to Muhammad (S.A.W) on the
dower of 20 camels. The wedding oration by Abu Talib. After marriage to the Holy Prophet
(S.A.W), she remained alive for 25 years. Thus the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) became in Managing
Director of her entire business at this prime age. It was the time of prosperity of the life of
Muhammad(S.A.W), The Holy Qur'an refers to these circumstances in these words:
"And He found you needy, then He enriched you (Ad Duha:8). After the marriage, all of
his(S.A.W) time was consumed in worshiping Almighty Allah as the Supreme and the Sublime
universal reality for the betterment and welfare of humanity bringing them to the fold of unity.
During all the 15 years he spent much of his wealth as Managing Director of his (S.A.W)
respectable wife to ameliorate the suffering of the neighborhood, men in need, and people facing
the miseries. His (S.A.W)so the beloved wife was all out for him (S.A.W) in such human welfare
activities. His (S.A.W) spent the flower of his youth in lonely meditation until he was 40.
*Khadeeja (R.A) bore Muhammad (Allah's Blessings and Salutation on him) many children of
which a daughter named Fatima,(Allah is pleased with her) survived.*
The unique worship In The Cave of Hira:
14. Prophet Joseph suffered the prime of his youth imprisoned in a deep and dark well because he
revolted and ran away from the immodest overtures of his employer's wife.
Moses spent the entire span of his youth in tortuous ale roaming the desert with the mischief-
mongering tribe of Israel till his bones ache with fatigue and hair turned grey.
Jesus Christ went to the cross by the perfidy of some of his companions when he was barely 33.
Many other seers and sages who brought enlightenment and solace to mankind did so after
burning the essence of their youth the crucible of violent reaction against the society around
them.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) revolted against the ills of the
society around him and sought solitude in the cave Hira was so dejected for pagan worshipers of
the Holy Ka'aba.) Hira, a huge barren rock, torn by a cleft and hollow ravine standing solitary
in the full white glare of the desert sun, shadowless, flowerless without well or rill, top the
eastern mount of Makkah in the right direction to this Holy House for Allah Almighty's so
devoted worship.,few miles away from the city, which was 4 yards long (3.4 meters
approximately)and 1.3/4 yards broad. He (S.A.W) started to remain there for continuous worship
day and night taking with him parched grams, barley, meals, and water. He (S.A.W) used to go
to the lonely cave of mount Hira. There he (S.A.W) had a pure glimpse of the Ka'aba with the
spiritual vision of its top full of Allah's mercy and all the times he continued to supplicate of
Allah. He did not return to the city until water, parched grams and grounded barley meals did
not exhaust. The Holy Prophet Muhammad ( Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) started to have
profound dreams. There were so realistic that whatever he (S.A.W) saw in dreams, used to
materialized the next day.
"Eminently unpractical in all the common things of life ", says* Prof. Lane Pool "he was gifted
with mighty powers of imagination, the elevation of mind, delicacy, and refinement of feeling". It
was said of him that he was more modest than" a virgin behind her curtain." ( *study in a
Masque S.Lane Pools, page 39 and 41*)
Declaration of Prophethood:
When Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) had attained the full maturity age of forty years
and some months. On 5th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, year 41 Meeladi, the day was Monday (12th of
February, 610 A.D )the Archangel Hadhrat 'Roohul Ameen, Jibreel came to the Holy Prophet
(S.A.W) with the Divine Commandment of declaring him the Last Prophet of Allah. At that time
Holy Prophet (S.A.W) was engaged in supplication to the Almighty of Allah in the cave of Hira.
Hadhrat Jibreel (the Holy Spirit) said "O" Muhammad ! happy news to you; you are the
Messenger of Allah, and I am Jibreel. Read with the name of your Rubb (Sustainer):
"Spiritual truth," says Sir William Muir*," seemed to the shin, clear and radiant as a sunbeam,
upon his own heart. ecstatic trances impressed a Seal, apparently divine, upon his convictions
and he was conscious of a sincere desire and fancied that he had perceived a divine mission, to
call forth his people from darkness into light. On the other hand, the ungodly laughed at him
with scorn, while solemn expostulation and warning were treated even by the wise and sober, as
the effusion of a found enthusiasts. Before the Divine Commission, all difficulties would vanish.
15. He would wait, then, for the inspiring influence of the Holy Spirit to lead him, as it had
oftentimes led the Prophets before him in the right way Gabriel, perhaps would visit him again
as he visited Zakariyya and Mary, to announce the advent of a new dispensation".
The tradition writers have reproduced the narrative of the advent of the first Revelation from
Imam Zehri who took it from Hadhrat Urwa bin Zubair who derived it from his aunt Hadhrat
Ayesha (Allah is pleased with her) now quotes the Muhammad (S.A.W) own words:
'I said: I know not how to read" whereupon the Angel embraced me so tightly that I could bear
no longer. He then released me and commanded: 'Read' I said: I am not literate. He again
embraced me so hard that my endurance began to give way. Then he released me again and
commanded: 'Read' I said: I am not literate. He embraced me tightly the third time till I could
bear it no longer. He then released me and commanded: 'Read' in the name of your Lord who
created" till he came to"Taught man that which he knew not" It was that moment of illumination
he found himself reading the decree of God.
Hadhrat Ayesha (Allah is pleased with her) narrated: "Thereafter the Holy Prophet (S.A.W)
trembling and shaking all over returned to the home and said to Hadhrat Khadeeja,(Allah is
pleased with her) 'Wrap me' Wrap me'. So he(S. A.W) was wrapped in a blanket up warmly and
soothed and comforted. After a pause he (S.A.W) said:
O! Khadeeja, "I have experienced such and such phenomenon". He was approached by the same
great Angle, Jibreel who had descended on Hadhrat Moosa (Allah's Blessing on him). She said:
Be happy. By God ! Allah will never forsake you. You are good to your relatives, are truthful,
trustworthy, support the helpless: gives your earning to the needy". She consoled and
encouraged tenderly.
After a few days, Roohull Ameen descended again and the first Qur'aanic Message was revealed
in First Five Versus of Sura Alaq (Sure No. XCVI). These 5 Verses are the initial ones that
sanctify the Divine importance of reading and writing in Islam. These are:
"Read in the name of your Rubb (Sustainer) who created (everything); created man from a
blood- clot.
Read: your Rubb(Sustainer) is the Most Honorable, Who taught (man) by the pen, taught man
that what he did not know.
Khadeeja next communicated the tidings to her cousin Warqa bin Nofal, a man deeply versed in
the scriptures and know-er of a family oracle. In the days of ignorance, he had become a
Christian. He used to scribe the Bible in Hebrew and Arabic. He had grown very old and blind.
Hadhrat Khadeeja,(Allah is pleased with her) said to him: "O brother listen to thy story of your
nephew." She told him the Prophet (S. A.W) related to him what he had seen. In the opinion of
Warqa Muhammad (S. A.W) had been visited, like Moses. Warqa said: It is the same bringer of
messages from the world on High whom Allah had sent to Moses. Would that I were strong and
young during the term of your Prophecy. I wish I would live to the day when your people will
banish him. Banish him? Khadeeja (R.A) worried. Warqa said: "yes, never has it been that a
man brought what you have brought and he was not opposed. If I lived to that day, I would help
him with all my power."But not long after this, Warqa died."
16. The Early Converts
The earliest converts were his(S.A.W) closest relations. Khadijah(R.A) the first believe in him.
Then Ali, Zaid bin Haritha, Abu Bakr, Uthman, and Talha soon followed suit. "It is strongly
corroborative of Muhammad's sincerity," says Sir *William Muir, "That the earliest converts to
Islam were not only of upright character but his bosom friends, and people of his(S.A.W)
household who intimately connected with the private life, could be failed otherwise to have
detected those discrepancies which evermore or less exist between the hypocritical deceiver
abroad and his action at home".

sallam] has said: If anyone recites Durood
[salaat] i.e. invites blessings on me ) [Sallal-
20. laho Alaihi Wa-sallam] near my grave, I hear
it personally. If anyone recites it at a distance,
the angels bring it to me". [Baihaqi.....]
The prophet Muhammad [Sallal-laho Alaihi
Wa-sallam] has said: If anyone writes Durud
[salaat] to me in the book, then the angels will
continue to invoke Blessings on him [Sallal-
laho Alaihi Wa-sallam] so long as my name
remains in the book. As and when the name of
The Prophet Muhammad [Sallal-laho Alaihi
Wa-sallam] is mentioned in the Friday sermon
or the Khateeb [rhetoric] recites the following
ayah:
"Ya-ayyuhullabaloo Amanu Sallu Alaihi
Wasallimou Tusslimah".
One should say in his heart without moving
the tongue"( May Allah bless and greet on the
prophet Muhammad (Sallu Alaihi
Wasallim)".[Dur-e-Mukhtar]
It has been stated in Dur-e-Mukhtar that
moving the limbs and raising the voice while
21. reciting Durood Sharif is a lack of knowledge.
According to Imam Tahawi [Allah be merciful
on him] if the name of the holy prophet
Muhammad [Allah's blessings and salutation
be on him] is mentioned again and again in a
session, then it is incumbent both on speaker
and the listener to recite Durud every time.
It is permissible to recite durood without
ablution [wudu] but to do so with wudu is light
upon light. It occurs in a tradition that the
Holy Prophet Muhammad [ Allah's blessings
and salutation be on him] said: Invoke
22. blessings on me [Sallal-laho Alaihi Wa-sallam]
on Friday extensively and angels attend it and
this durood is presented to me. [Ibn Majah -
Abu Dawud]
Hadhrat Abu Hafs ibn Shahin [ Allah be
merciful on him] has reported on the authority
of Hadhrat Ans that the Holy Prophet
Muhammad [Sallal-laho Alaihi Wa-sallam]
said: If one of you recites durood a thousand
times, he will breathe his last until he has seen
his place in paradise. [Sa; ayah - Zadus Said]
Hadhrat 'Umar bin al-Khattab [Allah be
merciful on him] said, "The Supplication
remains suspended between heaven and earth,
none of it ascending till you Invoke blessing on
your Holy prophet Muhammad [Allah's
blessings and salutation be on him]
The above tradition has also been reported by
Hazrat Ali [Allah be pleased with him]
23. CURATIVE AYAT
Imam Abul Qasim Qushairi [Allah have mercy
on him] has been reported as saying: One of
my children fell ill and his illness reached a
point that he was about to die. At this stage. I
saw the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal-laho
Alaihi Wa-sallam] [ Allah's blessings and
salutation be on him] in a dream and told him
about the condition of my child. The Holy
Prophet Muhammad [ Allah's blessings and
salutation be on him]. Why do you keep away
from creative Ayat? Why don't you make use of
them and beseech cure'. I woke up and began
to ponder over the matter. I found curative
versus at six places in the Quraan. These
verses are:
1: "Va-yeshfi Sodura Qaumim Momainin".
[9/14]
24. (And will heal the hearts of the believing
people)[9/14]
2: " Washifaullima Fee-sudur ". [10/57]
(And healing what in your hearts) [10/57]
3: " Yakhrojo Mimbatoneha Sharabum
Mokhtalaifon Alvanuhofehai-
shifaullinnas"(16-69)(There comes out from
their (bees) bellies a fluid of varied colors
(honey)in which there is healing for the
people).[16/69]
4: " Wa Ezamaridhto Fahova Yeshfeen". [ 26-
80]"
(And when I am sick, He heals me) [26-80]
5:"Qull hovalilazina Amanu Hodoivm
Vashifaa".[41/44]
(Say it is guidance and a healer for the
belief)[41/44]
25. I wrote these 'ayat' and dissolved the writing in
water and made the child drink it. The child
got instantly healed as if fitters and been
removed from his feet. [Madarijun -
Nubuwwah]
