How didyouuse mediatechnologiesinthe constructionandresearch,planningandevaluation
stages?
Throughoutthe mediaprojectitwasvital that we plannedthe use of technology how understand
it’simportantwithinthe productionof ourmediaproduct.
The firstessential pieceof equipmentwe neededtouse wasa camera withthe abilitytofilm.There
were camerasavailable touse atschool in the mediadepartmenthowever,ourgroupwasable to
use one of the member’scamerawhichwasa Canon4d. The qualityof thiswouldbe significantly
higherthanthose available throughthe mediadepartment.We made sure thatbefore usingthe
camera that we were familiarwithhowtouse all the featuresandpracticedarange of shotsthat
wouldappearinour mediaproduct. To go alongside the camerawe had to ensure thaton the
filmingdaysthe camerahadfull battery.Likewise,justincase we broughtaspare battery.The
camera andthe batterywere the maintechnologieswhichensuredthe final productwastoa high
standard. The methodof our savingwas importantmeaningwe hadbotha USB and SD card for the
camera.Once we had filmedshotsthatwere readyforediting,we made sure tocopythese ontothe
USB so that theyare safer.
Throughoutthe productionstages of the projectwe usedadvancededitingsoftware,Adobe
Premiere Pro.The software enabledustoeditandcut togetherthe final productandmade sure that
the qualityof the videoremainedhighthroughoutall the shots.
The final mediatechnologythatIusedduringthe final stagesof the productwasthe videosharing
site Vimeo.We chose touploadourwork ontothissite insteadof Youtube asVimeoallowsabetter
qualityvideotobe uploadedandnofeatureswouldbe lost.
