2. SUMMARY
๏ง The Alamo Heights ISD has begun the
construction process on an estimated
$61.6M bond project and is requesting
to allow work to be performed every
Saturday until completion.
3. POLICY ANALYSIS
๏ง City Code requires that construction
work only be permitted Monday-Friday
(8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.).
๏ง The code does allow staff to make
modifications or alternate work times for
emergencies and extenuating
circumstances.
4. POLICY ANALYSIS
๏ง These alternate work hours are reviewed and
approved on a case by case basis
๏ง Staff does not believe a blanket request should be
issued
๏ง The request should be approved if an emergency
or bonafide hardship exists, or in the last phase of
the project when they are finishing up
๏ง Staff would like Council direction in considering this
request.
