This document describes Careerchomp, an online platform that provides resources for career planning and personal finance education. It was created to address the gap many students face between graduating and finding a job, as well as the lack of financial literacy education. The platform offers free courses, videos, webinars and other materials to help high school students explore careers and learn money management skills. It aims to better prepare students for today's job market and financial responsibilities.

4. Why was created?
In today's world, market trends and needs are rapidly
evolving. Technology becomes more
and more involved and traditional
education and careers are no longer
adequate.
According to many surveys,
there is a huge gap between
graduating and finding a job.
5. Why was created?
We are here to bridge that gap with:
Career Planning
&
Personal Finance
In case you are wondering "why"....
6. Why was created?
"Sixty percent of U.S. college graduates cannot find a
full-time job in their chosen profession", (Adecco, 2012)
"A college education
does not prepare
students for the real
world", (Examiner,
August 2011)
7. Why was created?
Personal Finance is another neglected aspect of
education today. While bankers encourage people to
borrow beyond their means,
debts mount.
8. Why was created?
"Nearly half EU students fail to repay loans",
(The Telegraph, August 2012)
"Student debt in
America now
exceeds $1
trillion",
(Forbes May 2013)
9. Why was created?
From the United States to Greece,
from Asia to Gabon
and from Spain to Brazil,
Careerchomp intends to make sure all students are able to
be educated on
Personal Finance
and
Career Planning.
10. Why was created?
Education needs to evolve.
Students must be fully prepared and aware of the market
needs before starting to look for a job.
They also have the right to be taught some financial
basics, like budgeting from a young age or how credit
cards and loans work, enabling them to make more
informed decisions in the future.
11. How does work?
We offer access to a lot of information on Career
Planning and Personal Finance, all gathered in one
place.
Students can study, watch videos, attend
webinars, discuss with their classmates, start teams and
do projects.
They have the chance to take
courses, learn, interact, collaborate and express
themselves as well as develop their critical and work
skills.
12. Who needs ?
High School students who:
want to be fully prepared before entering today's tight job
market,
are interested in exploring career possibilities and
prospects,
wish to learn more about how to better manage their
money both short and long term,
are our primary concern.
13. What about cost?
InTeam feels education should be a right and not a
privilege. Therefore, most of the materials found in the
website are totally free.
Courses, webinars, articles, videos, tutorials and other
resources are offered free of charge.
However, there may be some extra resources or books
which students can download from our store, at low cost.
