The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Executive Council Chair and Director General as well as contingent ambassadors from
around the world visited the BGCAPP project and met with the Kentucky Chemical Demilitarization Citizens’ Advisory Commission and Chemical
Destruction Community Advisory Board as part of their visit.

Release of the EA and a draft Finding of No Significant
Impact is expected toward the end of June
The release will be widely advertised and the document will
be on-line, in our information repositories and at the Blue
Grass Chemical Stockpile Outreach Office
Release of the EA will open a 30-day public comment period.
Complete instructions on how and where to comment will be
provided
During the public comment period, a public meeting will be
held to further explain the EA and to respond to stakeholder
questions on the document

• The area specified for this study consists of the Kentucky counties of Madison and
Rockcastle, known as the Richmond-Berea, KY micropolitan statistical area. Madison
County is the home of the principal cities of the micro area, Richmond and Berea, as well
as Boonesboro, Kirksville and Waco. In addition to its county seat of Mount Vernon,
Rockcastle County includes the cities of Brodhead and Livingston.
