2. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WORKING GROUP
Phase I – Job Loss Aversion Activities
• Identified personnel levels associated with the Blue Grass Army Chemical Agent
Disposal Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) and Blue Grass Chemical Activity (BGCA).
• Toured of the BGCAPP construction site with BGADD and WIB employees in the
interest of educating these agencies regarding the physical assets associated with the
project, its location and the scope of the project.
• Meeting was held with the Director of the Kentucky Commission on Military Affairs,
and the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development to integrate these office’s
participation and support for the Study.
•Meetings with several members of the Kentucky Congressional Delegation
and/or their staff were held in Washington, D.C. to broaden the knowledge and
support of these offices.
• Held multiple conversations with Pentagon, Army Element, Systems Contractors and
Kentucky agencies to both acquire data and secure ongoing support for the Study.

4. Secondary Waste Working Group
Focus: Rocket Separation Operation
• Two meetings were held between BGCA and the SWWG regarding this
proposed operation.
• Clarifications on permitting issues/timelines and projected operations
initiation/completion were discussed.
• The SWWG will make a DRAFT recommendation to the full CDCAB regarding
this effort prior to the next CDCAB meeting. Input to the DRAFT will be
gathered prior to a final formal recommendation to the CMA on this
proposed action.

5. EDT WORKING GROUP
• Colorado’s Environmental Assessment (EA) Process has ended and the release of the
final Assessment is anticipated soon. Information on this EA can be seen at the ACWA
web site.
• Kentucky’s DRAFT EA will be released after the first of the year for public review and
comment.
MONITORING WORKING GROUP
• The final decision regarding any modification to the current storage regime
has not yet been made.
It is expected that, based on the Igloo Filtration Study and the recommendation made
by the CDCAB that a decision will be made shortly after the first of the year.
