What is OET Test?
Occupational English Test is an English excellency test for all health care professionals who aim
to migrate to Australia to work or study. Almost all health professionals from the areas of
medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, veterinary medicine, occupational
therapy, dietetics can write the OET.
OET is a language test which measures communicative competence in the workplace and is
composed of four separate sub-tests in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
OET Test Score pattern and Duration of the test:
The OET is approximately a 3 hours long test.
It consists of four modules :
1. Listening: 50mins.
2. Reading: 60mins.
3. Writing: 45mins.
4. Speaking: 20mins.
The candidate has to score a minimum of grade-B in each skill to satisfy professional boards
requirements.
