- presence of solid , liquid or gaseous contaminants in such concentration that may change the
quality of water.
Causes of water pollution:
 Runoff and Soil erosion
 Sewage system
 Industrial waste and oil industry
 Aquatic plants and acid rain
 Municipal waste
 Mining operations and improper well drilling
 Irrigation and artificial recharge
 Liquid waste of households
 Agricultural lands
 Nuclear waste

• Vibrio cholera
• Salmonella sp.
• Shigella sp. Which contaminates
water and reduce water quality
Bad impacts on human health:
Create Various stomach and liver
illness,
And occur for the entrance of
different heavy metals like
nitrates ,lead , flurried , arsenic etc.
in drinking water,
Impacts on environment or
eutrophication:
• Harmful algal bloom.
• Accumulate high quantities of toxins.
• Tougher for shellfish & coral to
survive.
• May impact on the nervous systems
of marine life

 Maintanance of drain lines.

Water is very important for human,plant,animal & aquatic life.so we need to build
awareness against pollutions for better our conditions.
