Dear poten�al employer,
I am pleased to hear that you are looking for a Graphic designer & Mo�on graphics ar�st. I have
considered your company and seen the outstanding designs that have been created and I know that
I can fill the role that you are looking for.
I have been designing and learning digital design from primary school to university, all my educa�on
choices involved digital design. My chosen course at university of Greenwich is create digital media.
This course requires students to learn and create a wide range of digital media; whether its
anima�on film, digital design, websites and visual FX. I chose this course is because I am passionate
about all forms of digital media, I enjoy working with a team and I know that I can support your
company and extend my technical skills by working with your company. I understand scrum and
have used if for more than one produc�on while working on short films and digital produc�ons.
The skills that I have developed has been presented in my por�olio. I am fluent in using Photoshop
because I have been using it for 8 years, due to all my course choices involving different types of
media. I’ve used it to edit images for anima�c, games storyboards, edit green screen, also videos and
the results are as shown in my por�olio. I have used Illustrator to create logos and use text, so that I
can manage to maintain the resolu�on of the pixels and I used illustrator to create my logo on my cv,
game logo and hat design. I’m also fluent in using Premiere Pro/ A�er Effects to edit video clips,
organise the sequence and to add transi�ons to video clips. I used Premiere Pro to create a visual
narra�ve and I used A�er Effects to create an anima�c for a short film and music video but the
anima�c was created for the sole purpose of experimenting with scenes to fit the music. I am willing
to learn more about 3ds max anima�ng but I do know how to 3D model and will step up to job to
learn anything that I need to cover to work be a successful member of your team.
I have demonstrated 3 professionalskillsthat will be needed for working with your team, all through
one project, which was pre-produc�on and crea�ng a music video. My team weren’t coopera�ng
well, because they had different ideas for a song, so I had to take lead and I chose the more suitable
song and incorporated the other members theme into the song. When it came to filming they had a
personal problem with each other, so I took them to the arcade to sort it out their difference in
game and we managed to achieve a dis�nc�on for our music video. This paragraph showcases the
skill to be a team player, problem-solving and interpersonal communica�on effec�veness.
