 It refers to a diagnostic test that
will identify previous knowledge
on the subject.
 Includes skills, behaviors, learning
styles, interests to adapt an
appropriate learning environment.
 They offer a better understanding
of curricular vocabulary,
concepts, linguistic knowledge.
Formative assessment
 It helps the teacher to determine what and
how the students are learning to modify
accordingly during their learning.
 The goal is to contribute to the
development of student skills.
 Decisions are made in a timely manner for
the continuous improvement of learning
processes.

o They include : multiple choice, answer items, matching
