Company.The podcastdiscusseslivesof differentHispanicsacrossAmericaandpartlytalksaboutwhat
the effectsthatthese Hispanicshave ontheirareasandAmericanculture ingeneral.Atathirty-six
minuteslongitisquite informative.
The main focusof thispodcast takesus to Aurora, Colorado.Firstlywe talktoa Hispanicwoman
whoruns a hair salon andlivesabetterlife thanwhatshe usedto. Herhair salononlyhiresHispanics
and she has twokidswhoare bothfocuson school.We also hearfromthe mayorwho knew three
Hispanicssoldierswhofoughtforourcountryandthat is how he remembersHispanics. Nextwe getto
hearfrom a ministerata Roman-Catholicchurchwhichwasfoundedbywhite Americansbutoverthe
yearshas become equallyHispanicandwhite,andeventuallycouldjustbe Hispanic. There are two
millennialsinthe podcastthatare Dreamersas well whowere broughthere whentheywere noolder
than twoyearsold.If theywere tobe deporteditwouldbe toa place theydon’tevenknow (because
Americahasbeenall they’ve knowntheirwhole life). There are alsomanyotherindividualsinthe
podcastas well asdiscussionaboutthe growingdemographicof Latinos,taxes,andculture.
I believethatthere isnoreal problemwiththese people orpassingthe DreamAct.It is
somethingwe needtodoalongwithcomprehensiveimmigrationreform.Justlikenotonlyanyother
Americans,butevennon-Hispanicimmigrants,there are some badpeople.However,averylarge
majorityare justnormal people withadreamlike anyAmericananddeserve thatchance.All Americans
are immigrantsexcludingNative Americans,sowhyare all these Americanpeople soworried about

“keepingthese immigrantsoutof ourcountry”?WE AREIMMIGRANTS – that iswhat formedthis
countryto what itis today,butunfortunatelyjustbecause mostof the immigrantsfromthe southern
borderdon’tspeakEnglishit’ssomehow abadthing.I wouldjustsayto opponentsof the DreamAct
there are other non-Englishspeakingimmigrantsthatdon’tspeakSpanish,andwe needtohelp
everyone (notjustaselectfew).
