Abstract
People are generally unaware of climate change. The government has put into action activities that will help raise awareness of this such as the "Earth
Day". This may provide information to most but, people in rural areas seem to be less educated on climate change than those in city areas who are most
affected by the government's programs. Though most of the people are saying that they are truly aware of the environment, it is still not assured that
they have high knowledge about the climate change.

Having more sources of information can add up to the knowledge of each student. But these sources can also give misconceptions about the information
of what they are reading. This may be a problem especially about their knowledge about the happenings in the environment.
There are many common conceptions about the climate change. An example of it is that burning fossil fuels uses the ozone layer up. Burning is a
chemical process and also follows the law of conservation of matter. Combustion only combines the oxygen and carbon and does not disappear when it
is burnt. Another misconception about the climate change is that global warming is caused by the hole in the ozone layer because it allows more
radiation to enter the earth. That is incorrect since it is only caused by the increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. It is true that the hole in the
ozone layer lets in more radiation like UV (Ultraviolet) Radiation but it is not a great factor of the global warming.
Being aware about the environment is a very important matter. Students or teenagers nowadays are more curious about anything else but environment.

They are more curious to technology than climate change which is bad for everyone. Students must at least be able to know the reason of the climate
change in our environment. Although based on the data gathered, some students do not even know those reasons.

Global Warming, aside from pollution is one of scientists biggest concerns. Global Warming is caused by the Greenhouse effect. There are 4 steps in
the Greenhouse effect process. The first is, sunlight radiates from the sun, through space, to the Earth's atmosphere. The second is, sunlight enters the
atmosphere and hits the Earth. Some of that sunlight turns into heat energy in the form of infrared light. Surrounding air and land, which in turn

Another event that would occur from global warming is the drastic rise in sea level. As the Earth warms up, the polar ice caps will start to melt. This
would put immense amounts of water into the Earth's oceans. All cities along all the coasts would be flooded from the rise in sea level. This would
cause people to move inland, and with more people inland, it would cause a shortage of space in some areas. With the coastal cities under water, this
would cause a great economic strain on the rest of the cities throughout the world. Global Warming would also cause extreme weather.
Today, action is occurring at every level to reduce, to avoid, and to better understand the risks that are associated with global warming. On a national

The uprising global temperatures have been supplemented by changes in weather and climate. Throughout the world, many places have seen different
changes in rainfall; this crisis resulted in more floods, famines, and extreme rain, as well as additional frequent and severe heat waves. As these changes
are introduced to us the coming future, they will more than likely present challenges to our society and our environment.
Changes of the land
Greenhouse gases act as a blanket surrounding Earth, trapping energy in the atmosphere and causing it to warm and stay warm. As we see the
heating of the earth we also see the loss of ice and snow. The ice and snow cools the earth as well as reflect heat. Absorbing heat means more ice
melting, which means more heat is absorbed and more ice is melted, the process is a revolving circle. Land–use change, such as deforestation, is a big
contributor because trees are essentially 'wet sticks of carbon', and so burning them both releases CO2 and prevents the trees from absorbing CO2
through photosynthesis, their method of turning sunlight, nutrients and water into energy to grow.

On days when it was too hot for the kids to go out their parents would tell them to stay inside the house. When the kids have to stay inside the house

Climate change is a change in global or regional climate patterns. Climate change is a topic that is brought up in many different genres of
conversations. Whether it be brought up and discussed in politics, school, family, or friends, some people still limit using those words when in casual
conversation. Some of those same people are the people who still deny that climate change is happening. Climate change affects every single one of
us. It affects everyone who lives on this earth every day and has long term damages that researches can not even predict yet. A new survey finds that
70 percent of Americans believe the climate is changing, this poll is from Monmouth University in January, 2016. A lot of people are on the fence

In the first day of English 101 Climate Change and Multimedia class, Professor Sheila Tefft assigned the class to write a self–reflection about our
perspective on writing. I wrote that I use recursive strategy, which is writing in the order of a thesis statement, topic sentences, evidence, analysis, and
conclusion. Knowing this approach, I thought I would be successful. However, I encountered more challenges in this class than a success.
I encountered a challenge in the first major assignment, which was writing a research paper after reading Mark Lynas' Six Degrees. In this research

There are lots of pollutants in the atmosphere but the two that are important in global warming and climate change are carbon dioxide and CFCs.
Between those two, carbon dioxide ranks number one pollutant in the atmosphere.
CFC's are bad too, but not nearly as bad as carbon dioxide. CFC's quicken global warming (Weier 1). Greenhouse gases consist of carbon dioxide
mainly and that is why we need to get rid of greenhouse gases all together.
