physical theory of motion of
microscopic particles which is
consistent with experimental

motion of microscopic
particles in terms of
macroscopic quantities?

4. The reason is that the motion of microscopic
particles is not directly observable. In other words, this
motion is not directly tangible to human beings.
As a consequence, the motion and properties of
microparticles are studied through their interactions with
macroscopic objects and by observing changes in the
motion (and in states) of macroscopic objects caused
by these interactions.
