Eureka Stone Quarry (6/6/1996- Currently Employed)
As the Forman of the quarry at Eureka I am entrusted with leading and managing all of the
employees. Daily routines include proper safety inspections of all company machinery, vehicle,
structures and physical property. Once I deem all jobs can be performed safely I authorize the
plant operator to start the machinery to begin the day’s production. Upon and incidents which
may include vehicles or machinery breaking down I assemble the team members and plan a
way to fix the issues so that the plant can continue its production. The daily objective is to have
4,500 to 5,000 tons of stone excavated and processed through the stone crushers and sorted
out according to their size and shapes. Recently added to my list of duties is a new section of
our industry which is recycling asphalt. This small plant is important to the continuous of our
plant due to its nature. Over the past 20 years I have learned how to keep a healthy and well
maintained plant and employees. I am authorized to perform small controlled implosions in
order to keep the flow of stone during the work day as necessary.
S.D. Davis Window Company (1988-1996)
At S.D. Davis I started as a full time forklift operator and was promoted to the shipping and
receiving department which included loading and unloading trucks. Some other duties included
being yard jockey and eventually performed deliveries to other businesses.
Other skills
I am bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English. I can operator all of the loading, dumping and
excavating equipment which include tri-axles, CAT vehicles, Euclids and all other construction
vehicles. I am able to lead a team of diverse individuals which helps me with my position as
Forman. I take all job matters seriously and completely them immediately with or without prior
notice or accommodations.
