1. Pillow Talk
Shot no 1
The edit type was a fade from two men talking to this woman
putting her coat on. It is filmed in a medium shot. The phone
rings and the woman answer it saying ‘hello’. The camera
stays in a fixed position whilst filming. This scene only lasts
for 6 seconds before the next edit.
Shot no 2
The edit was a straight cut which showed the woman
walking to one side of the room to the other. The scene
then goes to a split screen medium shot as both their bodies
are in view. The dialogue between the two characters starts
when she says ‘hello; and ends with her saying ‘nothing’.
There is no background music plying to represent mood
because of the old fashioned times this was made in. The
camera stays in a fixed position, and the scene lasts for 34
seconds.
Shot no 3
The edit was a straight cut from a medium shot view to a
close up shot of the two characters so only their heads are
in view. This was done to see their facial expressions in
more detail as the woman in the scene grew in frustration.
The dialogue starts when the man says ‘ that’s even worse
then I thought’ and ends with the woman shouting ‘ you are
sick ‘. The camera stays in fixed position and the scene lasts
for 30 seconds before the next edit.
Shot no 4
The edit is a straight cut from the scene with the man
and woman speaking on the phone, to them sitting in a
restaurant. The camera shot stayed as a close up of the
two characters. The dialogue starts with the man
saying ‘tell me about your job’ and ends with the
woman saying ‘ would you like some dip? ‘ The camera
stays in a fixed shot and there is music playing in the
background.

2. Fringe
Shot no 1
The edit used is a straight cut to show a dialogue
between two people over computer. The dialogue
starts with ‘my team’ then the scene straight cuts from
one character to the other. The dialogue ends with ‘
good work today Phillip.’ There is a slow accent sound
in the background to give the scene a dark and
mysterious theme. The camera stays in a close up shot
throughout the dialogue.
Shot no 2
The edit type used was a straight cut from the close
up shot of the character, to a long shot, which gives
the viewer more information of the characters
surroundings. There is no dialogue in this scene,
but the slow accent music continues. The camera
moves slowly to the right, to give the viewer a
better look at the characters office.
Shot no 3
The edit use was a straight cut from the office
to this establishing shot of where the last scene
is set. The background music continues until
the futuristic flying vehicle in the sky
disappears. The camera moves to the left
slightly to show the whole building.
Shot no 3
The edit used was a straight cut from the
establishing shot to a close up of a man writing
a statement. The camera moves as the scene
goes on. The camera goes from the paper, to a
reflection on the table, to the man that was in
the reflection. The scene the straight cuts to a
long shot of the to men speaking. The camera
zooms in closer to the two characters slowly
then the scene straight cuts to close ups of the
two men as they speak to each other.
