PROFILING OF GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS

There 220 Departments Government departments will be prioritised based on :
• Departments within the hotspot areas.
• Frontline workers
• Utilisation patterns(and identify HWSS utilisation for the past 12 months)
• NEHAWU training: NEHAWU is targeting to train 13 672 shop stewards 54 839 workers who
are working in different workplaces across 9 Province and 43 Regions.
South Africa’s hotspots are effectively designated as follows:
• Areas of ‘vigilance’ (less than 5 cases per 100,000 people);
• Emerging hotspots (less than 5 cases per 100,000 people, but rapid rise);
• Hotspots (more than 5 cases per 100,000 people).

There are a few simple steps to follow when booking a wellness event for your department. Follow these steps to ensure that the process is smooth and effortless. Here’s what you need to do:
Complete the Online form or download the GEMS Event PDF Booking form. You can also call GEMS on 0860 00 4367 and select option 6. An agent will assist you with the GEMS Event Booking form to fill in.
Ensure that all information is provided on the form; such as the type of services you require, the event date, start time, physical address of the venue, expected number of attendees and any special requests – this way the GEMS Events team can provide you with a quick response.
Send the completed form to events@gems.gov.za or fax to 0861 00 4367. If you are unable to email or fax the completed form, kindly call the GEMS contact centre on 086 000 4367, select option 6.
You will be transferred to an events agent who will take down all the event information. The agent will send your request to events@gems.gov.za on your behalf.
You will receive an acknowledgment of receipt once the events team receives your request.
An Event Coordinator will contact you 7 days and 1 day before your event date, to confirm all logistical information.
If you have not heard from us regarding your event and are now at 7 days to your event date, kindly contact us on 0860 004 367 to enquire about the status of your request.
Should you not receive any communication regarding your event and are now at 7 days to your event date, kindly contact us on 086 000 4367 to enquire about the status of your request.
