• Setting a production company up from scratch (1992), support and development (1993-2014). Upgrading the
general local market’s printed travel production quality level from “Soviet” to World standards (before 1998);
production recovery after the 1998 crisis with 4x devaluation adopted to the “survival” wholesale price level.
Keeping the company in the top 5 of the Russian travel map producers. Achieving long-standing data export
contract with Navteq B.V., one of the 2 World’s leading car navigation companies, and Yandex LLC, the
country’s leading web search portal (Yandex.Maps). Shutting down most of the business forced by unfavorable
conditions and developing crisis in 2014-2015 with no remaining payables or non-investment losses.
• No quality, delivery delay or allied claims throughout the entire period of activity;
• Multiple national map industry support acts as a member of the GIS Association. Map data declassifying and
new lower classification limits’ setting (~2000-2008, collegial, successful). Removing of several non-tariff
restrictions in cross-border map transiting (2000-2010; collegial, restrictions were not shut down officially, but
stopped being applied de-facto). Establishing the new economic rationale in fees for the commercial use of
state-owned map data (2008-2011, collegial, successful). Preventing of introduction of the new administrative
barrier in public mapping in a form of additional preliminary state office certifying of the production (2010-
2011, initiative leader, successful).
• Transit-oriented development support volunteering activities (collegial). Changing the mass media mood and
main key from pro-car to public transport-oriented. Counteraction to the campaign of mass tramway lines
closure and track lifting (2002-2007, partly successful). Forcing authorities’ refusal to close and lift tracks at
Ligovsky Prospekt, one of the key radial thoroughfares in St. Petersburg, forcing reconstruction and introducing
the Russia’s first bus-and-tram right-of-way segregation (2007, successfully).
Personal Awards:

(the Blue Pages of Russia): 2007, 2008;
