It is my pleasure to a formal recommendation for Mr. Vishnu Srivaths as he embarks on the search
for new scholastic learnings and career opportunities.
I had the pleasure of having Vishnu on my team while serving as Regional Lean/MMS Director for
Matthews International. In his role as a Production and Technology Engineering intern, Vishnu was
accountable for a wide variety of operational, strategic and project management responsibilities. To
make this role even more challenging, Vishnu had to quickly adapt to the facilities complicated
process in a short period of time. In addition, Vishnu was challenged with developing respect and
trust with the hourly workforce and the site leadership. He consistently performed at an
exceptional level, working significant hours in a variety of capacities. In many instances, he
functioned as both a resource and as a leader. Vishnu actively engaged the hourly work force and the
site leadership throughout the duration of his internship. He has a rare combination of leadership
skills, problem solving, personable and innate/natural intelligence that made him indispensable in such
an environment. These attributes are seldom found in a freshman college intern. I valued his
judgment, professional demeanor and instinct throughout the duration of his internship. Without
Vishnu we would not have been successful in the development and implementation of our value stream
mapping, standard work document creation and process quality control charts.
